This not a standalone. Book One in the series must be read first.
He's a superstar soccer player. She's an all-star basketball player.
From the moment Adonis Grayon sees Corinne Bishop, he's smitten with her moves on and off the court. Much to his delight, she reciprocates his feelings. However, growing up in the limelight had made Cori leery of it. Although she's head over heels for Don, she has no desire to disrupt their groove or go public as a couple. Meanwhile, keeping secrets doesn't sit well with him due to his childhood scars.
Do they love each other enough to overcome this obstacle and some outside interference? Or will these two have to learn the hard way that rules don't apply when you're playing for keeps?

I listened to the audiobook for this story and it was done well! The narrators brought it to life. I love that both characters were athletes and the way they came together was sweet - but, I definitely understand Adonis’s feelings about being a secret. I wish he had mentioned it earlier on, communicating would have helped a ton! Corrine also had hear reasons but her man was literally smitten by her. lol! 😝 I enjoyed the meddling family aspects and the timely spice. Good read for me!
This is my least favorite book by this author. A lot of the key details we need to fall in love with the characters are missing. Their entire love story—how they grew and learned to love each other—is skipped over. We go from their initial meeting to them being in love, with little development in between. There are unnecessary plot elements that seem to come out of nowhere at certain points. And I hate when a story has a breakup reason that is overly simplistic and could be solved with one straightforward conversation.
If this is the only book you’ve read by this author, I caution you to try another one.
I wanted to like this story more. It started off with promise but then, heavy eye roll. It just became too predictable with recycled tropes thrown throughout. Corri moves like a teenager. I like wanting to keep the privacy aspect. It gives Zendaya/Tom Holland vibes. But what close sisters/friends don’t have one another’s location on their phones in this day and age? Even as adults? I also felt that Corri needed some accountability in the way things went down. I liked Adonis. He wasn’t a bad guy at all. I’m glad he didn’t become a brief hoe!
Love at first sight? Maybe … !! The attraction was instant for both of them, and Adonis couldn’t resist the pull of it. So they gave it a try, long distance and all and technology it’s easy to keep it real… they are are both famous in their own right and Cori wants to keep it private … they agree until someone alerted the paps and things took a different turn… I love it, and if you want to see what happened get yourself a copy! Can’t wait for Easy & Rowan🙌
For Don, seeing Corinne for the first time it was instant love. They wanted to keep their relationship private, well Corinne did but Don wasn't feeling being a secret but they made it work until they were outed. I was glad when they found their way back to each other. Can't wait until Eazy and Rowan's story.💝💝
Karim and Darcy’s daughter done found herself in love and trying to hide it. Corinne and Adonis both athletes and trying to juggle a secret love affair was cute and messy, lol. I did want more moments of them together at times it felt a bit rushed. This is book 2 of the Bishop family series.
4.5 ⭐️s I really enjoyed this book. I was very impressed with Adonis and his patience. He wanted more and wanted the world to know how much he loved Corrie. I hope there is more for this family.
