Alien Orc Warlord's Captive Bride

Kidnapped in my wedding dress by a savage Orc warlord

The horde ambushes on my wedding day, and the Orc Warlord Ragnar himself throws me over his shoulder, carrying me to his mountain home. He is their barbarian king... and I'm his captive.

He is over seven feet of jade muscled flesh, more monster than man, ruling his horde by sword and fist. He guards me personally, can't take his eyes off me... but he can't touch me. The Orc tribe plans to ransom me away and he needs me unspoiled.

But it doesn't take long until his green eyes burn with the barely-contained mating rage. As the days pass, I'm confronted by the monster's devotion to his people, how fiercely he protects what he loves. There is more to Ragnar than brutal strength... but he'll have to choose between his tribe and me as his mate.

Alien Orc Warlord's Captive Bride is a short, steamy, action-packed captive romance with a satisfying HEA. Take a look inside because you'll get a feel for the writing style!

"I'd never even kissed a boy, and now, I'll be in the hands of the cruel Lord to do as he pleases."

Aira is just a village girl minding her own business, surviving the best she can... which isn't easy when her own leaders feel like they're willing to throw the baby out with the bath water.

Ragnar is an Orc Chieftain determined to do what is best for his people, he just wishes the personal cost wasn't quite so high this time.

This done in one book does a great job with the danger of believing rumors and stories, the hazards of not getting information first hand, the power of getting to know others you know little about, the magic of working together and helping others as well as juxtaposing different leadership styles.

I read Alien Orc Warlord's Captive Bride in Kindle unlimited and chose to share my thoughts.

Alien Orcs? Why yes, yes I will!!

It's not the best alien romance I have read, but ma'am, is this one ever a contender in the Orc realm! Like we're talking a heavy hitter.

I've read a very small handful of Corin Cain books and I was hesitant to read this one because I love another author's Orcs, I didn't think this would be able to size up but it definitely does!

My only complaint for the whole story is that is that the technology for both humans and Orcs seemed a little too on-the-nose. Like, it JUST-SO-HAPPENS that this or that happens, but I do really love the way this story was written. Like I said, it is a heavy contender and a definite recommendation for anyone who likes Orcs.

This is a short, sweet Orc romance. Aira is the chosen bride of Lord Ashbourne. Ragnar, the chief of the Orcs, sees Aira in the village and decides she will be his. He steals her before she can marry to ransom her for supplies the Orc tribe needs. While they interact, Ragnar comes to appreciate Aira and wants her as his mate. Ragnar will have to choose between Aira and his tribe, or will he?

I received an advance copy of this book via Booksprout, and this is my honest review.

A quick, enjoyable read. Aira is taken from her undesired, wedding by a raiding party of Orcs. Orc chief Ragnar, takes her to use as a bargaining tool, but this story tells of how they both come together. That despite Ragnar wanting to use Aira to gain supplies for his cause, they do build on their relationship. There are choices that have to be made before they get their HEA

This book is different from her other books: the MMC is an alien orc warlord. The MMC still has that fierce heart, going to great lengths to protect the woman he loves. The FMC might be small and considered weak, but she has the cunning of the fox and is much as brave as these mighty orcs.

I loved the story. I hope to read more of these from the author.

I usually avoid reading Corin Cain's books because they center on Reverse Harem or Menage, but I read this book because it is different from what the author follows and it was a really pleasant surprise. The book is full of events and an interesting plot, and the conflict between love and duty was real and very touching. I really hope to find similar books in the future that are different from what the author is used to.
Note: I gave 4 stars because I do not like spanking or public sex.

NOT FOR ME!

I just don't like books with sadism in it because it makes me uncomfortable. I made it to Chapter 7 and stopped I couldn't take it anymore. I believe that love shouldn't physically hurt. I didn't see any difference between Ragnar and Lord Ashbourne. Unfortunately, Aira is used by both men, too bad.

A sweet orc romance short story…
Ragnar, the Orc Chieftain, stole Aira away from the evil Lord Ashbourne. Even though they came from two very different worlds, the important things them closer… I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.

I enjoyed this monster vs human kidnapped story. Ragnar and his tribe have a plan but of course things do not go quite as planned and trouble occurs as Ragnor figures out Aria is his mate. Then the fun really begins. A bit dark, steamy yet funny and entertaining at the same time. Enjoyed it.

Decent

Weird blend of insanely, otherworldly high tech and stone age primitive. Interesting characters and world building, satisfying,if abrupt, epilogue. Written well enough to want to continue the series.

I think I originally read this book as a joke with my husband because he wanted me to read ‘get in my swamp’ and it somehow turned into my obsession with Corin Cain. I own almost all of her books now

Great read

There's something about Orcs, and this one does not disappoint.
Aila is being forced to marry the evil old Lord but Ragnar the Orc Warlord has other plans. Such a well written story about conquering the evil and watching love between a Human and orc grow. Definitely a must read.
