What happens when a medieval world of swords and steel is invaded and forcefully introduced to a System of levels and magic?
It was just another ball. Princess Cassandra thought she could deal with it. She just had to pretend for half an hour to actually care about the attending nobles before her father would let her leave, as usual.
That is, until the sky started glowing blue and strange text appeared in front of her face, mentioning something about a System.
Even that she could deal with.
But being kidnapped by planar invaders from some planet called Earth after a glowing heart flies through a portal in front of her and disappears into her chest?
Shane Purdy is a college graduate with a Bachelors in Computer Science. At a young age he became fascinated with Fantasy books after reading the Wereworld series by Curtis Jobling, which led to a love of reading that continues to this day.
When he was younger you could almost always find him with a book in his hand (when he wasn’t busy with Band activities that is). As he got older, he started reading online webnovels as well. In June of 2021, after reading thousands of books, he decided to take the plunge and write a book of his own, starting with his first series, Dungeon from the Void.
He writes both high and low progression fantasy novels of varying genres, including Dungeon Core, LitRPG, Cultivation, Sci-Fi and more.
He does not use any sort of social media for his books other than Reddit, he has no Facebook pages, and his Facebook account is private and not public. Therefore if anyone finds public Facebook or other social media accounts outside of Reddit or Discord claiming to be him, they are fake.
The author needs to focus more on the setting and building a believable world. This also has horrible characters, they are incredibly flat and bland. The main character is emotionally dead for all the reactions we get from her. This is a story that is driven forward by the author, not the narrative.
The character Cass is interesting enough to keep reading. The fact that the numerical values associated with the stats have up to five decimal places is annoying as all get out; I can't even fathom what a tenth of a point in strength does or how to quantify an example.
The writer was an idiot (that's right, I said it) for not following his own notes. At no point does Cass get a storage ring, she has a storage pouch. The author refers to it as a ring several times. The author also mentioned several times that Cass' new race actually prevented others from identifying her; but the author made a huge deal of Cass getting a mask that would keep lower level people from being able to identify her. Either the mask acts like an illusion that wasn't described very well or the author just forgot his own character's abilities.
Anyway, story is still interesting enough that I need to know what happened to Thrix 2.
The premise/setting initially caught my eye but sadly was under utilized and poorly developed, interactions/dialogue are badly written and feel unnatural, the litrpg mechanics are alright but missing any kind of deviation or choice, characters including the protagonist have little to no depth and the story desperately needs a stronger narration voice. There is some potential here but it does feel like it’s missing emotion/depth at many levels. While it does have its moments your mileage here may vary.
Pros FMC is smart, keeps a cool head for the most part and not prone to overdramatics. Though she seems to be a bit of sociopath, Scarlet/Wrath is surprisingly relatable which makes her bloody decisions and actions quite understandable. And there is quirky humor to be had which is a big plus in any of the books I read.
Cons Some very annoying grammatical errors. Nothing too major but it does take away from the story.
Overall a great read and am looking forward to the next book.
This was unique, for sure. I appreciated the unique use of sin energy. It wasn’t indicative of good and evil exactly, but power based. I also appreciated that, while there was definitely progression in power, it felt somehow not too OP. The action scenes were explosive and I genuinely was rooting for Cassandra’s success. She is very likable all around, and, considering her station in life, very down to earth. Thank you and well done. Off to the next.
Im not really sure how i feel aboutt his book. Interesting concept but the delivery. I dont know...its kinda a bland and flat without proper emotion from mc. Do i hate it, nope but this is the kind of book that i need to force myself to finish it.
An enthralling tale of a shitty situation and a princess. No romance just fight after fight. I love the world tree, the mixing of mythos, and the pet murder chicken.
It has some interesting ideas but the way they're all woven together make the whole thing a bit overcomplicated for my tastes. Still a good story and I'll be interested in the sequel.
It took forever for her to continue her journey and change environments and it got boring quickly until the next one mainly at the start of the book. And it was disappointing that she didn't get to reunite with her family in this book.

Wow this one was really good and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The idea behind it is original and something i haven’t seen before so it’s all new to me. I Hope you have a good time reading it too
I enjoy the story overall, my only really gripe, is the redunace of stating skill distributions, no one with TikTok brain is going to read this, also 2/4 or even 3/4 of the chapters could be removed, it just breaks the story flow and distracts from the action.
I have read all of Wolfshines books so far, I really like the litrpg books, and will continue to enjoy his series as he puts them out for my enjoyment.
