An artificial intelligence expert. An environmentalist extremist. And an unstoppable viral threat to end all of humanity… The words light up my police radio, “Officer down.” The shock I experience when I arrive at the crime scene is unimaginable. What I see changes my life forever. Terror grips me as I see the flesh dripping from the suspect’s mouth. I raise my gun and tell him to freeze. I arrest him. He has no memory of his horrendous actions. A flesh-eating killer was not on my detective’s agenda for the day. My blood freezes when I hear this is not a one-time thing. The next day, another report comes in. It’s similar. Flesh-eaters attack an innocent couple without memory of why or what they did. More and more reports of flesh eaters around the U.S. are popping up, and the time to stop the outbreak is running out. The world is rapidly coming to an end, and the clock is ticking to find the one person who can stop this before it’s too late… An end-of-the-world, edge-of-your-seat steamy, horror thriller that will shock you and terrify you well after you turn the last page.

Mutation was my first book by this author, Art Saborio. I was really not impressed. It has a great deal of potential. It's an interesting concept which I feel, with the right writing, could be a lengthy series.
I was a little, OKAY-A LOT, confused. There are "chunks" of the book which seem to be very well researched and presented. Then there were "chunks" where it was discombobulated and juvenile.
Also, in the FIFTY-FIVE PAGES of this book, there are THREE graphic intimate scenes, like porn worthy. This is not clean at all.
I would try reading something by this author again. Overall, it seems like this was a rough draft of a summary overview of a series rather than a finished and published book.
I do not recommend this book for anyone with an emphasis on this is "R" or even "X" rated.
This story is extremely interesting ,so much so, that I couldn't put it down until I finished it. It makes you think very much about what's happening with vivid and what's to come. I recommend everyone whether you like science fiction or not should read this book!
I rather enjoyed this short story with an apocalyptic feel to it brought to you via a science mutation. It was a quick read that made me shake my head but sounded both out there and yet could happen as people are nuts some times. Light yet dark at the same time it was a fun read.
This was a really good book and slightly scary at times because it's about a vaccine that turns people into zombies, and what the world could be like. You should read it, it's a quick read.
