beware of the cliffhanger
Well, this isn’t really one book this is like half a book… We have to wait for volume three to read the whole book… And that’s kind of a bummer when they don’t tell you that. You get expectations. But it’s probably good for the story, considering the pacing, Because she’d like to see how more of it’s resolved… But in the first novel, the pace of the story moved a little too fast and the second story it’s come to a complete halt. If you’re talking about the romance, there is not a lot to be found, if you’re talking about intrigue, it’s not really there either. What it does have is very nice characters and intriguing world that she’s built. That the dragons make me want to come back, and I see a lot of hope in this author, so I’m hoping to see her development and watch it in her characters and story.

Ahhhhh finally! Finally got to read this! I've been waiting six months for the physical release of this. More if you count wanting it before the release date.
This takes place almost immediately after the last book and it follows the international adventure of Chloe and Julias as a simple visit to another country for a bit of information (and a dragon) results in impromptu marriage, the uncovering of deep-seated political corruption involving demons and evil experiments.
I love that the main issue I had with the previous book, the fact that most of the dialogue was clunky and awkward, is pretty much fixed in this, except in the cases when Chloe is being an awkward cringelord, but that's a different story. (please stop trying to tell jokes, darling. A comedian thou art not. XD)
I'm looking forward to book 3. Fingers crossed it will come well before Christmas

Me encanta la parejita principal y sus interacciones, sobre todo disfruté el capítulo del baile real. Pero por momentos la historia en este volumen se volvía un poco tediosa, y algunos de los pensamientos de Chloe solo son paja. Hay detalles interesantes sobre la nación que visitan, por ejemplo los dragones y los demonios del Otro Mundo. La cosa acabó en suspense, con la batalla en pleno apogeo, así que me pongo de inmediato con el siguiente volumen.
