**This is an old edition of the book and new edition with updated content can be found at 978-1944076009**   Runaway successfully combines both reality and fiction in one story without losing its direction. The book single-handedly deals with all the major abuses and problems young people have growing being children of alcoholics, neglect, economics and more... Runaway keeps the adrenaline up with its innocent and witty humor and constant excitement. Author Steve Simpson has lived through most of the issues of the characters. You won't get more accurate. Super adventure, great drama, fresh romance, a fantastic cant-put-down action story to keep you at the edge of your seat!

I am reviewing a copy of Runaway through Power Publishing and Netgalley:

Steve is abused his parents beat him if he goes down the stairs either to fast or to slow.  He and his friend Bob decide they would be better off if they run away.

Bob is only fifteen and lives in his own apartment.  His uncle wants nothing to do with him but says he brings a good profit.

Nancy lost her Mother, and her Father began drinking.

The children soon find comfort and hope in one another.

Five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

"Runaway" starts off immediately grabbing your heart and keeps you excited between the lovable characters and the constant action. The only break to the action and the realistic drama is the humor and fresh young romance between the characters. After the exciting fiction in "Runaway" ends the nonfiction section "The Teenage and Young Adult Survival Handbook" begins dealing with suicide, child abuse, being a child of an alcoholic, bullying, self-esteem and other issues affecting young people today, giving ways to survive and resources to get help, and gives hope!
