Morgan is a born and raised Jersey girl, living there with her two boys, toddler daughter, and mechanic husband. She’s addicted to iced espresso, barbecue chips, and Starburst jellybeans. She usually has headphones on, listening to some spicy audiobook or Taylor Swift. There is rarely an in between.

Writing has been her calling for as long as she can remember. There’s a framed ‘page one’ of a book she wrote at seven hanging in her childhood home to prove the point. Her entire life she’s crafted stories in her mind, begging to be released but it wasn’t until recently she finally gave them the reigns.

I’m so grateful you’ve agreed to take this journey with me.

my FBI agent watching me add this book to my shelf: 😏

the "i'm a people pleaser" bit was exhausting at times, but i liked the concept and i thought it had a cute ending. andre was a bit of a white knight, but their relationship was fun. i loved when olivia would get unhinged and start planning cutting her ex's brakes lmao.

it's no standout for me, but i think hardcore contemp fans would probably enjoy it.

s/o to the praise kink.

What happens when your Fiance sends you a text message minutes before you're supposed to be walking down the aisle that he's breaking up with you? You get revenge OBVIOUSLY. The Fall of Bradley Reed is an amusing and steamy romcom following Livi, a jilted bride hellbent on getting even with a man who couldn't even end their three-year relationship in person; and Andre, the FBI agent who is surveilling Livi and her ex-fiance for embezzlement and fraud. When Livi joins a support group of women who didn't make it down the aisle, she encourages herself and the ladies to get closure in the form of revenge. Andre sees a disaster waiting to happen and inserts himself in Livi's life in order to keep her out of trouble to protect his case.

The Fall of Bradley Reed is an entertaining romcom that showcases great banter, chemistry, character growth, and lots of tropes including grumpy x sunshine, slow burn, found family, fake dating, and age gap. This is such a cute and fun story, I've never read a revenge romance with an FBI MMC and found the whole book so unique and refreshing. Livi is a certified people pleaser but Andre is sure to change that as he teaches Livi to go for what she wants. I absolutely love how protective and possessive the man is, he had me swooning with all the sweet things he did for her; I mean that epilogue, come on! Sweetness aside, Andre was absolutely feral in the bedroom and all about pleasing Livi.

morgan might’ve outdone herself on this one. i can’t decide but andre might be my favorite hero of hers 🙊

THIS WAS SO GOOD. PERFECTION. LOVE. A MASTERPIECE.

olivia gets left on her wedding day via text and in the fallout, realizes her people-pleasing nature had convinced her she was in love with a man who didn’t give her the time of day. what he did have time for? embezzlement and framing olivia for it. insert andre, the fbi agent investigating her ex, who had every intention of staying far away from liv… until her revenge plans start to lean towards manslaughter 🤪

this was EVERYTHING. grumpy x sunshine, hot as all get out, a little fake dating, a little bodyguard-ish, just so good!!!!!

the slow burn had me PANTING for them to get together. liv was such a good heroine. i am also a people pleaser with mommy issues so i didn’t need to be called out but was!!! and andre’s dedication to making her ask for what she wants was SO HOT.

ugh, just amazing. 10/10.

3.5 ⭐️ i really enjoyed this one.

i love tis the season for revenge, wasn’t a big fan of cruel summer, and this one fell somewhere in the middle. it was very entertaining at certain points and at others it was very boring. so im a bit in between.

i wasn’t a fan of how he assumed who she was from her goggle history / texts & such, it made him seem like an asshole. and i didn’t love the timeline of her going into another relationship. she deserved some more me time.

but i had a lot of fun. the spice as great. and the friends / family were very entertaining as usual in this series.

I’ll just list what I didn’t like and why I don’t recommend this book.

- it takes way to much for the male lead to come into the picture

- Olivia is a pushover of the worst kind and till the very end she still doesn’t speak up for herself, but let’s other do it

- the male lead insulted her multiple times during the investigation, saying she is boring, she is easily manipulated, she’s dumb, she’s a brat, she’s a spoiled trust fund baby… ok? No please, make me like her ever more with these kind words. You can’t stain someone’s image so much and expect her to be a pleasant character for the readers. Also he’s a lying liar cuz when he confesses his love to her, he said he always knew she was it for him… where buddy? When you investigated her and considered her the dumbest person alive to be tricked by her ex so easily. I’m sorry but how was she supposed to know? You conducted the investigation for a whole year and couldn’t find a single lead before she intervened and you have the courage to say she is dumb?

-these too much talk about the fact she was left at the altar at the beginning. It got boring pretty fast

-I don’t understand how after one kiss he was so hooked.

Usually I know when a book is bad when I start skipping whole paragraphs, because they were repetitive and useless to the plot. I managed to finish it but I skipped so much of it and got to the conversations because I had enough.

I LOVED the first book in this series, and I want to read the second one as well, but this was a miss for me.

I love this revenge series but there are a few reasons why I gave it 3 stars even though I anticipated it to be a 5 star read.

Liv gets left at the altar and wants to revenge her ex, this is when the FBI agent, Andre Valenti, gets involved with her.
Because he’s been stalking her and her ex for a year now.

The reason is because that Bradley douche put all the embezzlement money on Liv’s name and doesn’t care if she gets imprisoned.

Now, I really enjoyed the romance between Andre and Liv and the smut😏 BUT it took foreverrrrr!! Literally the first half of the book they don’t even meet.

Some of their dialogues were so repetitive omg and Liv’s dialogues with her family and friends. It was the same shit over and over again, the romance felt like a subplot sometimes.

Another thing, Andre has this tendency being cold and in a bad mood when things at work don’t go well and the way he handles it with Liv is rough sex?? What is this dark romance? I don’t mind the scenes I just mind the attitude.
Romanticising “him using you to cool off” is not the best. You never know what that can lead to, but also like.. it was her always trying to understand him? Idk i don’t like moody men.

The ending was okay, the epilogue was cute I guess. I just needed more, as I said there was too much extra shit involved.

I did love the way he helped her overcome her people pleasing tendencies though. And how she finally put some boundaries with her narcissistic mother.

Anyway, I still like it but it needed some editing, especially those grammatical mistakes… hit the nerve sometimes.

Dnf 40%

I am bored out of my mind. I thought I would give this author one more chance but I don’t think she’s for me.

The premise of this book sounded very enticing but at 40% our two leads have only interacted twice and from what I can see have very little chemistry.

We have a doormat FMC + a male MC with no distinctive personality = snoozefest

DNF at 50%: this is one hell of a boring book 🤷🏼‍♀️🥹😱

The heroine, aside from her hair color, is a complete copy&paste from the book 1 heroine. Even their behavior is identical 🙈

The hero is a 33 year old FBI grunt, working from a cubicle and living in a dump with 3 other guys. Plus he spent the first quarter of the book thinking how spoiled, stupid, vapid and silly the heroine is.

The chemistry is nonexistent...A dead bird has more spunk than their dialogue 🤡

This was so bad and for some reason made me too angry and disappointed 😞

Points for a revenge plot.
Points for the MMC being an FBI agent.
Points for actually being a solid rom com that didn’t give me any icks.
Points for not being something I’ve read 1000x already before.

This was like John tucker must die meets the other woman, starring mindf*ck series Logan.

I’ll be adding all Morgan Elizabeth books to my TBR now.

Oof. Ya girl did not enjoy this one. This is book 3 of Seasons of Revenge and the first book received 5 stars and a top spot in 2022 for me. The second book was mid. And this book was just awful.

Morgan is usually really good about writing MMC’s but Andre did not do it for me. He was controlling and manipulative, a bit aggressive, didn’t let people finish what they were saying, and was pretty unethical as a professional.

Liv was an annoying people pleaser that had an internal monologue about how much of a people pleaser she was about every other page and was low key a brat.

Andre pushed the narrative of, “I thought you were a spoiled brat/dumb broad, but then I realized you weren’t after meeting you for 5 seconds” over and over again and if I was Liv, I would be pretty irritated that he kept saying that.

The premise of the book sounded really fun (jilted bride/fbi watching her search history) but the storyline was very repetitive and boring.

I thought Bradley would be WAY more involved but we literally only talked to him for one chapter towards the end. This book was centered around revenge and when the girls did their thing, we didn’t even see any reaction from Bradley. It was literally never brought up again.

I could go on and on about what I didn’t like about this book and that just makes me sad because I do really like Morgan Elizabeth but this was just not the book for me.

(Also, gf, pay some more editors/proofreaders bc this one was just bad with the grammatical errors.)

It’s Morgan Elizabeth, so how could you not like it?

The FMC is being watched and protected from herself and her dumb decisions by an FBI agent who is trying to take her ex fiance down for embezzlement.

The FBI agent is worried she’ll ruin his case with her over the top, homicidal revenge schemes which would make it impossible to use her as a witness.

But then the two of them fall for each other.

My two complaints though were that this was a little bit too long and repetitive, and the FMC is PAINFULLY stupid. I’m convinced that she actually wants to end up in prison.

3.5 ⭐

This was an okay read.

It took me awhile to like Andre (33) because he's a judgmental prick for the first 40% of the book. For someone who has been monitoring Olivia for the last year, it seems he didn't know how to observe his target thoroughly. He's been keeping an eye on all of her correspondence, yet he still thinks of her as a spoiled brat just because she's rich. I really can't stand characters like this who pass judgment so quickly because of their prejudice. Also, I can't believe he lied to her up until 70% of the story. Lying is one of the things I really despise, and for the most part, he was deceiving her. Had she not seen those dossiers, she would still probably be in the dark.

As for Olivia (26), I do like her for the most part. Her people-pleasing personality, though, was kind of hard to get through. There's nothing more I can't stand than pushover characters, but it's not really her fault—she just had to learn how to adjust to the external factors that caused this behavior. But I'm so proud of her for finally getting a backbone and for learning to choose herself. There's nothing wrong with being selfish at times, especially when it comes to her overall wellbeing. I really loved her growth and the strength it takes to become her most confident self.

As for the spice, omg!!!!! I can't with these two. I mean, even if they were just kissing, the tension and chemistry were already through the roof. And when they finally did the deed, it was just too much and too hot to handle. These MCs are firecrackers and are just so perfect for each other.

Overall, this was still a good read, though I feel like the ending was a bit rushed. Also, I'm not sure if I just missed it, but I didn't read anything about his promotion. That's the reason he's been working so hard on this case, so I was invested in knowing if he ever got it. 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, this was still worth reading, imo. Something light and fluffy to pass some time.

3-3.5⭐️.

Loved it.

Olivia gets left at the altar by her criminal, douchey, frat bro ex and wants revenge. Andre is the FBI agent assigned to her for the case they’re building against the aforementioned douchebag ex. When her google searches start to get a little too “I’m about to commit a felony,” Andre has to step in.

Don’t even know what to say besides, starts a bit slow but definitely picks up speed, and the fall vibes: *chefs kiss*.

- Grumpy/ sunshine.
- Fake dating.
- Bodyguard.
- Small town.
- Revenge plot.
- No third-act break up 👏.
- 🌶️🌶️-🌶️🌶️🌶️ but with plot 🤌🏻.

ARC REVIEW

I’m sorry, I gotta DNF- we’re 30% in and MCs have barely spoken. We’ve gone over the plot 50x and everyone keeps having the same conversation with Olivia. She’s such a pushover and her mom & fiancé are written so ridiculously OTT it’s not believable to me.

OH MY GOOD LORD

IF MORGAN ELIZABETH WRITES IT YOU BEST BELIEVE I WILL DEVOUR IT. MORGAN ELIZABETH CAN DO NO WRONG IN MY EYES.

From the tropes alone I know I was going to be hooked on this book:
Age gap✔️
John tucker must d|e inspired✔️
Fake dating✔️
Grumpy x Sunshine✔️
Fake dating✔️
Small town✔️
Bodyguard ✔️

This book follows Liv who if you read Cruel Summer you would of met previously as she is Zack (the MMC from Cruel Summers daughter). Liv has been left at the altar and how does she deal with this? Well she basically tries to take a page from Abbies book and attempts to get revenge on her ex-fiancé and she basically does this by researching online. But Liv is totally unaware just how she dodged a bullet with the ex because he is a nasty piece of work👀.

Meanwhile Andre, the FBI agent who is tasked with bringing said ex is of course keeping tabs on Liv but then he starts to notice her CRAZY internet history on getting back at her ex. The poor man had to stop her from cutting her ex’s break lines😂

We notice from the beginning that Liv is a people pleaser but I absolutely adored the journey she went on in this book and the back bone she grew for herself👏🏼

Anywho, after Andre avoided cutting the breaks incident he makes his presence much know in Liv’s life which leads us to FAKE DATING. Liv releases juicy gossip to the press about how her ex could never satisfy her and she got her kick’s elsewhere while they were dating and this is where she ropes Andre in to be her fake boyfriend and of course we all know where fake dating leads👀

AND CAN WE JUST APPRECIATE HE CALLS HER ‘LITTLE MENACE’ - I giggled and kicked my feet in the air every time 😩😩

I don’t want to give too much away so GO READ THIS BOOK NOW🫶🏼

I absolutely devoured this story, of course I wasn’t able to binge it because you know life got in the way but every second I had a break my kindle was in my hand ✋🏼 I swooned and giggled the whole way through this book. Liv and Andres chemistry was absolutely off the charts and the spice (oh lord)🌶️

THANK YOU TO MORGAN ELIZABETH WHO PROVIDED THIS E-ARC FOR MY HONEST REVIEW💅

It was good but def I loved Big Nick Energy and Tis the Season for Revenge so much better lol. But that's just me! I still adored Olivia as a protagonist and the plot of an FBI agent seeing everything she was searching and trying to stop her from commiting a crime omg. Morgan Elizabeth keeps writing some funny, cute romcoms and I'm here for it.

DNF @ 25%
saw this on tiktok/ig and was immediately intrigued by the premise because who hasn’t seen the “my fbi agent” memes?? however, the start was way too slow for me and I found the characters to be unlikeable. I was also confused by the side character intros…I get this is part of a series but if they’re really standalones, give me a better three sentence summary of the relationship jfc. I hate thinking “well I guess i’ll just ignore that and hope it makes sense later.” then the way the mmc went from “she’s a vapid heiress and I hate her so much she’s the worst she sucks” to saying “uh oh i’m in trouble” in the span of….three pages??? insta love is one thing but insta de-hate feels unreasonable as hell. and if I have to read the term “pathological people pleaser” one more time, i’m going to call taylor swift and tell her to sue. goodbye 👋🏻

i was vibing with this book until i felt like i was reading the same thing over and over and over again. if i took a shot for how many times the characters thought about each other’s smiles in detail or the word “people-pleaser” was mentioned, i would have to be transported to the emergency room. there were also so many grammatical and spelling errors that it didn’t even seem like morgan had an editor look through this.

other than that this had super cute fall vibes and i loved how everyone could communicate, which avoided any third act conflicts! the spice was also sooo good🤭

2 Stars ✰

This was not it.
The first book in this series was so fucking good, and I expected to enjoy this just as much, especially with the unique synopsis... but it felt flat. I was bored. like so fucking bored. From how bored I was, I was just reading words without processing them. The only reason this gets 2 stars is cuz I feel bad to give it under 2 stars.

HE PLANTED AN ENTIRE FLOWER GARDEN FOR HER BY SEED🥹🥹🥹🥹

I can’t even with Andre, he’s so thoughtful. Plus he went pumpkin picking with her even though he thinks pumpkin picking is stupid and a scam but he does it just because SHE WANTED TO GO🥹

This man has so many green flags, I can’t even put them all😭

AND THERES LITERALLY NO EX GF’S OR TALK ABOUT HIS SEXUAL PAST😍 COMPLETELY FREE OF OW DRAMA😍😍😍

Needless to say I also don’t want to write a whole essay for a review on this book since I just woke up but I’ll touch on some points.

Why didn’t I rate this book 5 stars? This book could have EASILY been a five star read and a top November read but I feel like we lacked information on Andre. It was always him investigating and learning information about the FMC but when it comes to him, I feel like the FMC didn’t know much about him. I just wanted some more personal information on Andre. Maybe there was more than I remember but I sort of fell asleep in the middle of the book last night😬it was 3am okay?!🫠

Safety info:
• No virgins or manwhores
• OM drama (her ex)
• Absolutely no OW drama or mention of his sexual past, just that he’s had ex’s before (mentioned in a text thread between them in the beginning when she wanted to know how to get back at her ex. His response to her question “do you even have an ex” was “yes I have an ex, multiple ex’s even” btw he’s 33) I’m pretty sure that was the ONLY thing mentioned about his romantic past.
• mention of sexual history between FMC and OM. She says that they had a sex schedule and only had sex once a week and she faked her O every time. But the H fixes this and literally would give her 5 O’s before he had 1. He never “takes” pleasure for the heroine because he loves giving her pleasure.
• H has been celibate for a few months!!!😻
• h has been celibate since she got out of the relationship with her ex so also a few months I think
• no condoms but she’s on birth control

Overall completely safe of OW stuff if you are sensitive to that (like me) but the OM is mentioned throughout the book, although the FMC doesn’t have feelings for her ex (especially since he bailed on their wedding)

And for the OM drama- the FMC never truly liked who she was getting married to, she just dated and got engaged to him to make her mother happy

I’m giving it a +1 for two reasons:
1) Olivia’s character was somewhat relatable to me due to her people-pleasing traits.
2) It was easy to read (although, the writing was cringe at times).

My main issue revolves Andre. In the initial 30% of the book, he came across as a jerk, using offensive language towards women and being incredibly rude to Olivia. I know this was written as internal dialogue… but… barf. This was disappointing, as I've encountered grumpy male characters in similar genres who managed to maintain their ‘grumpiness’ without resorting to misogyny. I've also read about grumpy FBI agents with critical cases on their hands who were not only less rude but also less annoying than Andre *cough* Toni Anderson’s books *cough.* His POV consistently frustrated me.

What annoyed me the most was Andre's rapid transformation. He went from being incredibly rude to falling in love with Olivia after just a few brief encounters. His justification was: "I was watching you for a year and that entire time I was actually falling in love with you…” Chapter 8 says otherwise.

“little menace” and “menace” as a pet name during sex… kys. (I’m not a kink shamer, but in this case, I am)!

Chapter 43 did provide a glimmer of hope, featuring a kinder and more considerate Andre, along with open and honest communication with Olivia. If the entire book had maintained this, I might have given it 5 stars. The epilogue was super cute too.

Anyways, y’all know I hate any form of misogyny !

I think Tis the Season For Revenge was a fluke. I really enjoyed it but for some reason, Cami’s book and this one were big disappointments. I was so bored while reading this and had to skim through a lot of pages. The plot, as described in the blurb, seemed interesting but was unfortunately executed very poorly in the book. A lot of things simply didn’t make sense even as I tried to suspend disbelief. Even the spicy scenes were boring. Andre’s dirty talk was NOT sexy at all. This might be the last book that I’ll ever read from this author…

Olivia (Liv or Livi) Anderson is left at the alter by her fiancé. He broke up with her via text 10 minutes before they were to be married. Olivia is a chronic people pleaser and has anxiety thanks to her narcissistic socialite mother, and all she wants to do make sure she doesn't inconvenience anyone to the detriment of herself.

She decided that Bradley Reed needed to pay, so she went on a crusade of revenge. However, what Olivia doesn't know, is that she is being investigated for white collar crime that Bradley Reed committed in her name. As she came up with this outlandish, entertaining, and creative revenge plots that could cause Bradley's death and Olivia being charged with a felony. FBI agent Andre Valenti, is watching her, and stops her from delivering the beehive and cutting his breaks, but as he continues to watch her, he falls for her as she learns to stops pleasing others and stand up for herself.

The Fall of Bradley Reed is entertaining, has great character growth, a slow burn romance with great chemistry, a pining hero, and the smut game is strong once Olivia and Andre give in to their attraction. The romance is gorgeous and the plot is believable, entertaining, and very good!
