This is a well researched and interesting account of the Quaker history of Nantucket. The chapters on early Nantucket are especially well-written. Some later chapters seemed more of a sketchy overview.

This book is full of information on the religious community of Nantucky. It is well researched and annotated but not as exciting as I expected it to be.

Apparently Starbuck is a Quaker name. Everybody in MA knows that because Moby Dick is required high school reading here. I had no idea.
