"She's theirs for a weekend. Will they be hers for a lifetime? "

Stephanie Parkins doesn't date-ever.

After years of watching her mother's antics, men are off her menu. But the truth is, now she needs one, and fast. Proving she's approachable is the only way her bosses will promote her to a position that requires her to work directly with the public.

Restaurateurs Aiden Collins and Dane Whitman need a date-now.

They're perfectly happy as a twosome, but without a woman on their arms, admission to this weekend's fetish party will be denied. For a while now they've had their eye on the sexy beauty from the tenth floor-even though she buries herself under a frumpy wardrobe. What better time to bring her out of her shell, and add the third they've been craving?

When the three quite literally collide in the elevator, a miracle she agrees to their proposal. And Stephanie turns out to be the submissive of Dane and Aiden's dreams. But as she slips deeper under their thumbs, she could be more than either man bargains for.

This book contains intense bondage scenes between two Doms and their sub. Expect hot masturbation, man on man action, blow jobs, restraints, ben wa balls, nipple clamps, and mind-blowing orgasm denial that will make you weep...

I've been stuck reading D/s books lately. I don't even intentionally do it.

I can't really say I liked this book too much. Maybe for me 2 stars was slightly generous.

I don't like the whole full time sub thing. They way they made it seem or maybe how it really is I wouldn't know. She cannot talk to then at all unless they talk to her. That's horrible no "Hey honey how was your day?". Nope she's only to talk when they want. Kind of fucked to be honest. I don't like that she has to look down all day. Where's the intimate moments? She could use some separation from being bosses all the time.

Maybe it will be just me who feel this way but I just couldn't get into this story. Her bosses irked me. Her office friend was pushy. Aiden and Dane were just new to the lifestyle but yet they were such experts all of a sudden.

She had such a trust and men problem and though she was a natural submissive it did feel like she sort of rolled over most of the time. No feistiness in her. I also think that Dane and Aiden were pretty hard on her.

Also they NEVER actually have sex with her. Like what the?!?! You're more or less waiting I mean the poor girl being tortured while the other two just have sex in front of her all the time. So mean.

Sadly this book wasn't for me. But it could be for you.

Everyone knows that I am a Becca Jameson fan. She writes excellent shifter books and her shifter/menage books take the explosive hotness of her stories to another blow-your-mind level. But this book - this book takes every book I have ever read of hers and blows it out of the water like a redneck dynamite fishing in a lake (sorry I have CMT on for background noise and I just saw that).

I had the privilege of reading this book at the request of the author before publication. This is Becca Jameson's first foray into a BDSM book. She has used some light bondage or blindfolds in other books but nothing she has written has ever delved this deep or explored the lifestyle like this book. And nothing else of hers I have read has been this powerfully written. I still remember the goosebumps and in-drawn breaths, the sensations that moved through me as I read the words Ms. Jameson had written. I actually had to stop partway through and take a break to let my emotions settle because the honesty and intensity of this book affected me so deeply.

One of the many things that I find so alluring about the BDSM lifestyle is the inherent honesty. Whether you are a Dom or a submissive, you MUST be honest with your partner at all time as well as with yourself. For most of the modern world, that means we have to learn what it means to be honest about what we feel and what our motives are. Honesty - especially being honest with yourself - is something that has fallen out of fashion in the fast-paced "get everything you can, you are the number one priority and the only one that matters so go ahead and be selfish" world of material gain that has highlighted the 21st century for many. This book explores that level of honesty in a way that is both haunting and beautiful.

We are voyeurs with Aiden and Dane as Stephanie learns to be honest with herself about her needs and learns to express those needs. The men also have to learn to listen to someone else, to let her in to their twosome so that they can build this relationship that they desire. This book follows them all on their few days long journey of self and sexual exploration.

I HATE SPOILERS so all I will add is this book is a masterpiece of the written word and I am a better person having read it.

Left a nasty taste

I understand that book life isn't the same as real life, and things happen at an accelerated pace for stories to happen, but this felt contrived and plain nasty.

Steph goes from being scared of men and totally self-protective to being Dommed by TWO (new, only played at being Doms with each other) Doms in under a week. She sheds her cardigans and gives blow jobs in public, abandons her underwear and her free will, and submits with apparent ease to an almost total power exchange relationship with no apparent psychological issues.

The 'punishment' scene near the end where she is left spread-legged in honour bondage to consider her 'misdemeanours' (she said NO!?!) for two hours without sustenance, a blanket, or a bathroom break first, horrified me. The fact the two Superdoms release her then leave her completely alone again (they want to have her too badly, but won't penetrate her until she agrees to their lifestyle - blackmail, much?) was also distressing.

I know nothing about the lifestyle other than what I've read, but this felt abusive. The two men 'knew' what Steph wanted 'just by looking', and the little letter at the end where they apologise for putting her in a situation which left her vulnerable and then proceed to tell her how well the will take care of her?

More fool her for reading.

All in all, this is an unpleasant, disturbing, cringe-making excuse for a 'romance'.

AND it was littered with typos and grammatical errors.

Why doesn't this book have a dark genre tag? This is darker than many of the books I have read under the dark tag. They abused the poor girl. She knew nothing about the lifestyle, or about sex, or about relationships. She just couldn't say no. Nothing they did was sweet or showed the signs of a healthy relationship. The guys said that they didn't want a doormat or 24/7 slave, but she was both 24/7 and doormat.
Most of the scenes were ridiculous. Who has an orgasm during waxing? And her first time waxing too. Which prudish, shy girl just starts masturbating in a car, between two men she just met like 2-3 days ago?
They changed her clothes, her hairstyle, made her wax, and those were all at the same day, which was actually the third day after they met and before they entered a relationship. She didn't want any of those things but she was weirdly so aroused, she could never say no.
And which BDSM event does not accept gay couples without a woman? That is absurd. What is more absurd and really really offensive is that they kept saying that they needed a women in their relationship, because they are bi. It was like the main theme in the book. Bi people does not need to be in poly relationships. Bi people does not cheat on their spouses just because they have to be with the both sexes. That is ridiculous. The author is not only unaware of BDSM society, and human body, she is also unaware of bisexualism.
I hated this book.

I knew I was in for a hot read when I started to read this but I didn't know how much emotion would be packed into Bound To Be Taken. Stephanie has stopped dating men afer watching her mom's tragic failure with relationships. She overhears that she must attend a company party with a guest in order to be promoted. She crashes into Dane and Aiden in an elevator and agrees to help them out in exchange for a date to her party.

Dane and Aiden have been together for three years but both feel like something is missing to seal them. They know beneath the frumpy wardrobe lies a beautiful woman. Dane and Aiden have some steamy scenes of their own. I praise Becca Jamison for writing M/M so flawlessly you don't realize your reading about two males. It's very classy the relationship that has been built between the two Doms.

I thoroughly enjoyed Bound To Be Taken and cannot wait to read the sequel. Just when you think it's a another Dom/sub story, you find things that are unique to it and something you'll be sure to reread in the future.

Not what I expected, based on the blurb. This is about a woman who ends up choosing to become a full-time sub to two male Doms. Interesting take on the mindset of a lifestyle sub. The rapid transition from shy, virginal heroine to full-time sub was unbelievably fast - 5 days?!?!

When I started this book it seemed like it might be a good premise and interesting, but it quickly degenerated into non-sense. The author obviously has no real idea of the BDSM lifestyle and what it entails and her male (BI) DOMS are awful, selfish, self-centred wankers. They violate and punish a weak heroine (who is supposed to be strong), manipulate her into doing their bidding to fulfil their selfish 'agenda' of wanting a woman to be their third partner. She will never be their 'equal' 3rd partner and is totally disempowered by them. They put words into her mouth telling her she is submissive and needs to be their 24/7 sub. They don't allow her to talk or question and this supposedly 'strong' woman buys into their 'bullshit' hook line and sinker, within 3 days and yet she doesn't trust men and has multiple issues with them. JUST NOT BELIEVABLE!

They 'play' with her, torture her, fuck in front of her, constantly leave her without sexual release, change her clothes, hair etc; and all without her consent - an absolute 'no-no' in BDSM. It's supposed to be SAFE, SANE and CONSENSUAL. This never happens in this book. The DOMS 'blackmail' her into leaving her job after they 'fuck up' at the 'club 'leaving her vulnerable and exposed to her male bosses; telling her that if she doesn't leave her job there will be no relationship. What a pair of "LOVING" guys -NOT! They are a pair of dead shit assholes! They fuck up and she pays the price, how's that for endearing characters? Woeful characters and awful plot lines.
Does this author not actually analyse her characters and look at them objectively? Does she not ask if what she is writing is logical and if her characters are in line with the actual premise of the story? Apparently not! It is pathetic! The female character does absolutely 'degenerate' acts in public although she is much inhibited but fully aroused and ready to please her abusers - for abusers they are, NOT sexy loving males looking for a woman to 'complete' them. They never actually penetrate Stephanie and 'blackmail' her again by telling her they won't until she finally submits 24/7 to them. Oh,' but they wouldn't be able to cope if they did and lost her!' WTF? Such crap! Just plain pathetic and unbelievable.

Don't waste your money on these books. If you like BDSM, a better read is "The Stronghold" series with real feisty strong women, and protective caring DOMS.

I have never rooted for the woman to leave until now.

First, bisexual people are not inherent cheaters. We are fully capable of the same monogamy both heterosexuals and homosexuals commit to. Just as a man can remain faithful to his wife even though he is attracted to women, I am easily able to remain faithful to my spouse all these 17 years.
Second, I wanted her to leave so bad. When she was taped to the bed I and considered ripping it off I wanted her too. I did not want her to be at the door on Monday. I wanted her to go to that party alone with her head held high. But no. The Doms didn't know what they were doing and she came off weak as hell. The fact that she even says that she has to choose them because she quit her job and had no financial security is proof that she should not be in the lifestyle. That would be a huge coersive factor that negates consent.

For a woman who does everything possible to divert attention from herself to become a submissive for not one but two gorgeous bi-sexual Doms is quite unexpected. Stephanie Parkins' upbringing by a broken spirited mother led her to vow that no man would have a chance with her. She was better off alone and isolated. Unfortunately, Dane and Aiden didn't get the memo. They want her from the first time they see her. They see her potential, innate sensuality and natural submissiveness under her armor of librarian's clothes. A business agreement between them to be other's date at two very different events leads to so much more. Now, can she accept who she really is and how much tbe really want her?

Jameson, Becca (2014). Bound to Be Taken (Emergence. 1).
Kindle Edition.

Okay, I do like MMF romances and I do like BDSM-flavored romances, so this is the right book for me.
I can understand that for some reviewers Steph’s decision and fundamental changes of her world-view and herself come too quickly, but she reflects her path over these couple of days in a consistent way. And, yes, both her Doms-to-be are also relatively new to the lifestyle themselves, but with their mutual attraction growing into love they can master it (no pun intended).

WOW what an insight of how to start living a BDSM life style. I can see where Stephanie van fall in to this submissive lifestyle. She has been keeping self in control of outer workd and neglecting self.
i thought the way Aidan and Dane showed Steph how they cherished her was a way they manipulated her to submission.
starting next book, lets see what happens with this threesome

There was some passages I highlighted that related to life in general or for the most part. But to say I liked this story is giving it too much praise. It was a relationship of punishment instead introducing her into the lifestyle.

I did not realize that this was not a standalone book, this is only part one. This book is written so that the reader can get to know the characters and the MMF & BDSM dynamic that they will engage in going forward.

Idk something about the idea of a full time submissive in every part of life is incredibly unappealing. This book didn't do it for me, there really was nothing good I can write. I'm surprised I finished but I definitely won't be moving on with the rest of the books.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

After reading Bound to be Taken (Emergence #1) by Becca Jameson, I needed time to mull over my review. Usually it’s pretty black and white as to whether I like a book. This time I’m finding it more in shades of gray and I wanted to properly explain my thoughts.
So I’ll start with all the things I loved about Bound to be Taken. (By the way, this list is definitely longer than what I didn’t like.) First of all, it’s about a ménage a trios. I’m a sucker for ménage and this trio is hot, hot, hot.

Aiden and Dane are an established couple and it’s obvious in their connection and ability to communicate. But both consider themselves bisexual so they are looking for the perfect woman to add to their life. Both men have developed a passion for domination and submission, so the woman they choose has to be willing to be part of that scene.

Stephanie needs a date for a work party to prove to her bosses that she’s the right person for a promotion. She’s been lusting after her neighbors for quite some time but thinks they are gay. She finally gets to know them better after a chance encounter in the elevator and learns that they are interested in her. The three work out a trade. One of them will be Stephanie’s date while she will be their sub for a date at a party at a BDSM club.
Starting four days before the party at the club, the three embark on preparing Stefanie for her role as a sub. What follows is some of the hottest sex that I have read in a while. Ms. Jameson knows just how to describe the tension the partners are feeling as they withhold orgasms or the relief when finally allowed to come.

The relationship between the men was so beautifully authentic and their inclusion of Stephanie flowed seamlessly. I loved how the men were able to push her sexually while still cherishing her and treating Stephanie like a princess. The writing flowed effortlessly and I found myself unwilling to put the book down. The dialogue was natural and I could easily picture each conversation as it was happening.

So you’re probably wondering why I am so torn about Bound to be Taken. It comes down to the actual BDSM part of the storyline. Dane and Aiden have only been exploring this lifestyle for six months but feel confident that they can teach Stephanie. Then instead of easing her into everything, she’s given a crash course and expected to understand and like it all. At one point, Stephanie is punished for some infractions. Aiden tells her directly “We’re exaggerating a bit on what offenses you might have committed today. But for the sake of the experience, we’re going to be harsh.” Huh? How is this safe, same and consensual?

Some of the things they do to Stephanie she found degrading. I don’t understand why she doesn’t speak up or share her concerns. She is way too new to all of this to be pushed so harshly and quickly.

Now I know this is fiction. That’s why I accept that she agrees to be their sub and develops the sense of trust needed for this type of relationship in only four days. It’s why I accept that they could also fall completely in love in only four days. I just wish Ms. Jameson had been more careful in her treatment of domination and submission.

This is only my opinion and I still recommend that you read Bound to be Taken and form your own. It’s still a good story with interesting characters and Ms. Jameson is a good writer. I am certainly intrigued enough to read other books of hers including the next book in the Emergence series.

Donna‘s review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Review copy provided for an honest review

Stephanie doesn’t think very highly of men. She’s never seen a positive example of a loving relationship and she is convinced that all men leave, her father did and so did the string of boyfriends her mother had over the years. Stephanie stays to herself, wears frumpy cloths and purposely avoids attracting male attention. She is up for a promotion at work, but her bosses are not convinced she is sociable enough to work with clients directly, since they have never seen her being social. She has one chance this weekend to convince them. The only problem is she needs a date.

Dane and Aiden are sexy as hell bisexuals. Over the past few months they have been getting into the BDSM life style. There is a party at a nearby fetish club that they really want to attend. The only problem is all couples must include a female. They have both noticed the extremely sexy woman that lives in their building despite her attempts to hide behind over-sized, librarian style clothes. Can the three of them come to an arrangement that will be mutually beneficial? What will Stephanie say when she finds out their date needs to be a submissive? Will she be able to play the part for a night? You will have to read to find out!

This book is H-O-T!!!!! The sex between Dane and Aiden alone was enough to start an inferno, then mix a submissive into it and KA—BOOM, holy volcanic reaction book lovers! This book kept me on the edge of sexual craziness for two days. But there is more to this book than just hot sex scenes. The story line is emotional and believable. All three characters struggle with their decisions and the possible consequences of those decisions. I highly recommend this book as a GREAT erotic read and I am looking forward to the release of Bound to be Tamed. I give this book 5 stars with 5++ hands down the pants. Well done Becca Jameson, well done.

Night Owl Review

Original Review Published here: http://www.nightowlreviews.com/v5/Rev...

Stephanie Parkins does not usually date, ever. After seeing what her mother went through, she does not think she needs a man in her life at all. Stephanie is an IT person at a computer consulting company. She works hard and wants a promotion and to get it she has to have a date for the company party. Stephanie’s bosses come across as very old school because they are worried about how she dresses rather than the quality of her work.

Aiden Collins and Dane Whitman are a bi couple that is looking for a third partner and want a woman to fill that spot. They have had their eyes on Stephanie for weeks and want to get to know her better. Aiden and Dane own their own restaurant and both come across as hot and sexy men. I loved how much they discussed all the particulars and the ramifications of everything before approaching Stephanie.

The chemistry between Aiden and Dane is blistering, then adding Stephanie is explosive. I loved that Aiden and Dane switched it up and dominated each other. They are in a very well established relationship and communicate well so neither party will get hurt emotionally by bringing in a third. The sex scenes were fiery whether it was between Aiden and Dane or all three of them together.

"Bound to be Taken" is the first book in the new series by Becca James called 'Emergence'. I found this book to be well written and completely realistic. Ms. James' writing style drew me into the book and I did not put the book down until I was finished reading it. The main and secondary characters were well-formed and realistic. I hope we get to see more of Stephanie, Aiden, and Dane in the future because I would love to see how Stephanie does as she settles in with all the new changes in her life. Overall, this was a wonderful book, and one I can see re-reading again in the future.

Bound to be Taken (Emergence #1) by Becca Jameson
B+, inferno, moderate kink, BDSM, menagé, m/m, 272 pages

Stephanie overhears her bosses saying that if she was more personable, they would give her the promotion she's been after. So she decides she needs to bring a date to the upcoming office party. But who to bring? Aiden and Dane live in the same apartment building as Stephanie, and they're looking for a date themselves. They have an upcoming dungeon party but they need a submissive. In exchange for a date to her company party, Stephanie agrees to act as their submissive at their party. But it quickly turns into more than an act for Stephanie.

After finishing the second book in this series, Bound to be Tamed, I knew I had to come back and read the first book. I had to see how Steph, Aiden, and Dane got their start. And what a start it was. The chemistry between the 3 of them is almost overwhelming at times.

My one complaint is that Dane and Aiden are supposedly new to the whole being a Dom thing. They've only been studying it for 6 months and have never had their own sub. They've been taking turns being subs for each other (did I mention that Dane and Aiden have a well established sexual relationship?) and have decided they'd like to add a third partner to their relationship. For being such newbie Doms, they really seemed to just instinctually know way too much. They recognize the fact that Steph is more than a part-time sub, she's a full-time one before Steph has even admitted to herself that she's a submissive. They were just way too able to read her and I kept thinking "there's no way they could recognize/know that if they're so new to this whole Dom thing." Of course maybe they're Dom prodigies. Other than that...

If you enjoy your menagés with m/m action and a heavy dose of BDSM this one is for you. It will keep you turning pages and fanning yourself until you reach the last page. Then you'll be reaching for the second book.

Stephanie Parkins does not date, at all, ever.
After years of watching her mother’s antics, men are off her menu. But the truth is, now she needs one, and fast. Proving she’s approachable is the only way her bosses will promote her to a position that requires her to work directly with the public.
Restaurateurs Aiden Collins and Dane Whitman need a date—now.
They’re perfectly happy as a twosome, but without a woman on their arms, admission to this weekend’s fetish party will be denied. For a while now they’ve had their eye on the sexy beauty from the tenth floor—even though she buries herself under a frumpy wardrobe. What better time to bring her out of her shell, and add the third they’ve been craving?
When the three quite literally collide in the elevator, a miracle happens: she agrees to their proposal. And Stephanie turns out to be the submissive of Dane and Aiden’s dreams. But as she sleeps deeper under their thumbs, she could be more than either man bargain for.
At first I was a bit hesitant reading about BDSM, but after reading the book twice I noticed there was so much more about control, loss of control and denial of pleasure. I loved the way Stephanie is portrayed with her thought on the foreground and wow the two hotties on the fifteenth floor, doing naughty things with theirselves and with her. I must admit I sometimes blushed when I was reading about the, phew… very explicit (and educational) but not in a boring way scenes. I loved it all. I loved that Aiden and Dane both could be Doms but also subs. I was intrigued how Stephanie could be turned into a sub so quickly. Now I am very curious about book 2.

HOLY MOLY! Talk about HOT! I was sweating and had a tension headache by the time I finished this book. But in a good way. Lol. This story line was very enlightening as far as the BDSM lifestyle. Stephanie, though she may not seem like it at first is a very strong woman with a good head on her shoulders and very independent and that's the way she wants it. She wants nothing to do with men and has no real female friends and that's the way she wants to keep it. She hides herself behind baggy ugly clothes and keeps her head down as to not draw attention to herself. But her two gorgeous bisexual neighbors Aiden and Dane see something special hidden behind those clothes and are dying to help her come out of them and submit to them. She works very hard to get ahead at her job and to secure financial security for herself. When she accidentally overhears her two bosses making a bet on her she realizes she needs to step up her game and make some changes or all her hard goes down the drain and she loses a much deserved promotion. When Aiden and Dane offer her a solution to her problem if she helps them with a problem of their own. At times I felt that if Becca had not spent so much time describing the punishments of the submissive then she could have given us more on the end of the book letting us know more about their lives. That's why I only gave the book 4 stars. But I do highly recommend this book to everyone. The sex is freakin amazing.

3.75 Stars!!!

Nice flow, (even thought it takes place over a few days) likable characters. Ending didn't have enough angst and was wrapped up to simplistically. Two Bi guys, who own a neighborhood restaurant and are new to the BDSM scene are looking for a female to complete them. In their building is a woman who needs a date to help her get a promotion. They run in to each other on the elevator and strike up a conversation which leads to a commitment to two dates....The guys are going to take her to the club on Friday for a Kink Party and one of them will go with her to the work party on Saturday. During that week they get to know each other, enjoy being trained and training in the Kink lifestyle and start to realize they are hooked on each other. For someone who has sworn off men, dresses like a librarian, I found her giving in and participating sexually so quickly very strange. And then there is the I am falling for her in a day or two thing. If you can ignore that...this is a hot, spicy story and enjoyable read.

Bound to be Taken by Becca Jameson was not what I expected. I wholeheartedly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. What woman does not like two guys drooling over her.. except for Stephanie. It takes her a bit to warm up to the idea, but boy when she does, she goes all in. Dane and Aiden are bisexual and together. They do not think they can be complete without a woman. Enter Stephanie. She needs a favor from them; they need a favor from her. What comes next is a rip roaring ride of a good time. It is a good idea to set aside some quite time, get something to snack on, and get something to drink because you will not want to stop reading this story.
I really liked how the relationship between Dane and Aiden was written. It showed two strong men comfortable with themselves and their relationship. I really hope that I get the chance to read more of this authors work as she has captured my attention. I give this book 4 stars for such a riveting read.

This book really worked for me in the first two thirds. I like reading BDSM erotica and menage and it was well written and edited and the story unfolded well. Towards the end I got a bit uncomfortable because the heroine gave up her job etc. The author justified this well but once the heroine gave up her independence like that I lost some of my belief in the relationship working. To be fair the author did leave the door open for the heroine to get another job but by the end I was feeling a bit out of my comfort zone. However this is very subjective and I wouldn't let it put you off reading the book. Some of the sex scenes were beautiful and the book packed a sexual and emotional punch.

I mean, the book had potential. I was really excited to read a book where the two dudes have a relationship already and wanted to bring in a female to their dynamic. Unfortunately, this felt very rushed. I wish there was at least some sort of friendship before she joins them forreals besides a passing acquaintance. Do they even like her besides finding her attractive AND convenient?

I mean, I'll never know and maybe one day I'll skim the book to see, but that's not going to be anytime soon.
