The next gripping thriller featuring FBI Special Agent Patterson Blake.
After following her missing sister's trail from Oklahoma City to Dallas, and then on to Amarillo, Patterson Blake finds herself in Santa Fe looking for a man who might hold the key to unraveling the mystery of Julie's disappearance. But instead, she uncovers a sixteen year old cold case murder that might provide an answer no one wants to hear.
To make things worse, previous events are coming back to haunt her in the form of a man who wants revenge, at any cost.
As the walls close in, and answers feel further away than ever, Patterson finds herself in a situation that she might not escape. At least, alive...

Special Agent Patterson Blake is closer than she's ever been to finding her sister July. Will this last clue be the one? Will her search come to an end, one way or another? This has been an exciting series as we follow Patterson across country while she ferrets out clues to her sister's disappearance sixteen years previous. No matter what she does though, Patterson seems to have a habit of getting caught up in solving crimes along the way. As the series is drawing to it's conclusion, this may be the best of the books so far. The authors, as always, lead us along with Patterson in her search expertly and effortlessly. I dread the end of the series as much as I want to know how it ends. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion of the tale.
And just like that I have finished another book in the Patterson Blake series. I wish I could ration the books out so they lasted longer , but the authors do such a great job of creating a story and creating characters that just pull you in and all you can do is turn page after page after page. So, if this series is new to you, all I Can say is where have you been. By all means start reading the series as soon as you can. You'll be glad you did. Great writing, Great characters, and a great storyline. What more can you ask for.
Thank you Anthony and Sonya for creating the world of Patterson Blake and letting your devoted readers share that world. Looking forward (in a very sad way) to the final book in this quite enjoyable series.
Dark Road From Sunrise (Book 5) features Patterson Blake's continuing search for her missing sister. I've enjoyed reading Patterson's emotional journey as she leaves behind her last known living relative to follow in her sister's footsteps in hopes to discover the truth. WIth only a few decades old postcards to guide her, Patterson is determined to find out what happened. Along the way, her curious nature uncovers a multitude of other crimes which she helps to solve. I recommend reading the series from the beginning.
Patterson is back on the trail to find her sister. Without giving any spoilers this is a very emotional read! The writer took me on a roller coaster of emotions!! I loved every minute of it! I really don't want to say anything about the plot as readers need to experience it first hand! The storyline was brilliant throughout. Fast paced and cleverly written! I can't wait to read the next installment. I was given an advanced reader copy to leave this voluntary honest review.
As Patterson Blake continues the search for her missing sister, she stumbles on a cold case that might be related to Julie. I like that there is a cold case that Patterson needs to solve for another clue regarding her sister. The twists are exciting and the suspense keeps the excitement going. Will she find out what happened with her sister? The next book will hold all the answers. I would highly recommend it. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
This series is very consistent with its clever narrative and exciting stories. This book was another cracker, very clever and an easy read. I love the connection to a John Decker novel, it would be so cool if there was a team up between Decker and Blake! I'm looking forward to the last book in this series, be interesting to see how it ends.
Patterson Blake is on a mission - a mission to find out what happened to her missing sister, Julie. However, Julie has been missing for sixteen years. Unknown to her, there is a hired assassin on her trail who is waiting for an opportune time to kill her. A captivating page turner with nail biting suspense.
Yet another brilliant and enthralling installment of Pattersons search for her sister. As always the writing style is impeccable. The storyline is well paced and keeps you engaged throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would definitely recommend it. Well done again Anthony. I received an advance review copy for free and leave this review voluntarily.
Patterson Blake is back on the hunt for julie again and finds a body.
Patterson is back on the hunt for Julie. This time she has a hit man on her trail as she hunts. She finds a body that had been labeled Jane Doe that has some of her sisters things found with it. Now they are waiting for DNA results. Many twists and turns and great action.
Will Patterson be able to find her sister? She thinks she knows of a place she was sixteen years ago. Little does Patterson know, but there is a hit man following her also. She gets involved with another cold case while she waits for information on her sister. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This is more about the person who is trying to kill her on behalf of the disgraced senator than anything else. The mystery about the dead body is boring and very flimsy. It takes up very little of the book. There are more clues about Nulie than in the other books. Otherwise, this one is a waste of time.
Is Julie dead or alive? The hunt continues. Thus series is definitely worth reading. Each book is interesting and tells the reader more about Julie, Patterson's sister. There's trouble just around the corner and you have to read the book to find out what that trouble is. It's worth the effort.
ANOTHER GREAT READ IN THIS SERIES. THE STORYLINE IS ORIGINAL AND GRABS YOU AND WON'T LET GO TILL THE END. PLENTY OF TWISTS AND TURNS TO KEEP YOU TURNING PAGES TILL THE END. WELL WRITTEN WITH GREAT CHARACTERS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THE OTHERS IN THE SERIES.
The most enticing book I’ve read recently. Patterson is searching for her sister. She has ruffled some feathers along the way with a politician who has much to hide, now a “hit man” is set to “suicide” her.
Straight into action with an excellent story line. Patterson is a formidable adversary against her enemies and although determined to find out what happened to her sister, she faces one dead end after another. It ends on a cliff hanger. Highly recommended.
This book is ok . It was not near as good as the last book. I can't wait to read the final book in this series I hope it will a little more thrilling than this boo.
Oh my goodness, had another all-nighter. I'd try to lay my Kindle down and turn over to go to sleep, couldn't get there. Patterson was in so much trouble again. Can't wait to dig into the conclusion. Awesome story.
Another great story that will keep you trying to guess what the secret is. Blake is trying to find out where her sister is. Will the past come back to haunt her and bring danger. Once again there’s no turning back until the end.
Patterson is still on her search for Julie. She is in Santa fe and getting some leads. Solves a cold case and escapes a hired killer. Great story and characters. Well written as always
I have to say that I absorbed the Patterson Blake books one right after the other. I will say that the writing itself and lack of editing can be off-putting, but the basic story was great enough that I was able to force my OCD self past it.
