Since its first publication in 1983, Modern Physics has been one of the most widely used texts for the sophomore-level modern physics course for science and engineering students. It covers all the standard topics in the course, including relativity and introductory quantum mechanics, as well as introductions to statistical physics, nuclear physics high energy physics, astrophysics, and cosmology. Modern Physics provides a balanced presentation of both the historical development of all major modern physics concepts and the experimental evidence supporting the theory.
This is one of the best books I've come across to begin with the study of modern physics. It is essentially an introductory course on quantum mechanics and special relativity and combines experimental and theoretical physics appropriately, without requiring more than elementary calculus (simple derivation and integration). Very recommendable if you want to start discovering the concepts of quantum mechanics and relativity.
Bahasanya lugas sehingga materi yang tersaji dalam buku ini mudah dipahami. Fisika Modern yang begitu abstrak menjadi sangat mudah dipahami dan terasa begitu nyata.
The print quality is poor, you can easily wipe out the ink from the page. But the content is very similar to the original book and it is very easy to read.
