Essentially a coffee table book about loyalist paramilitaries - a bizarre idea at best. Inevitably it's a bit light on detail and the coverage is somewhat perfunctory but the period photography is outstanding and very evocative of the Troubles. Not for you if you're looking a wide-ranging academic study but surprisingly compelling visually.
