This whole book was amazing!! All the turn of events happened and it just had my mouth wide open!! Like no way!! The plot twists, the heartache, the love, the action!! *chefs kiss* it was great!!

This BOOK! I can't even. I had the privilege of reading an early copy and weeks later, my brain is still firmly stuck in this world that Sophie Dyer created.
I'm a sucker for a reverse harem, and this story did not disappoint on that front. The way the characters came together was seamless, and the slow burn build-up drove the tension up to a hundred before the fireworks exploded between the characters. Each of the characters is so well developed and their POV's are all unique. It's a ten out of ten for me.
And that cliffhanger! My brain is still spinning. In hindsight, I can see where the breadcrumbs were left, but it's absolutely mindblowing and so well executed.
If you like reverse harem mafia romance with a strong female lead and enough spice to make you sweat, read this book!!

First of all I went in completely blind
Didn't even read the description
I don't even know where to start. This book was everything. I loved every second of it, and I feel like I was right there with them.

Seriously I wasn't expecting all that, I was just happy to finally read about the first female head of La Cosa Nostra .
The drama , the lies, all the twist, I couldn't get enough.
I love how Sera grew more confident with her role and how she opened up her heart to others. She has gone through so much abuse and loss and now she's finally learning what being treated with love and respect feels like.
"You both make me feel different things. Luca, you make me feel like I don’t need to be in control all the time. Levi, you make me feel so fucking adored that I don’t think I’ll ever know what it’s like not to be.”
“And Gio?” I ask.
“He makes me feel like my thoughts are more than enough.”
And to say I didn't see the betrayal coming from you know who would be the understatement of the year ! Literally at the ending chapter 16 i wrote down "What did you do?"
Also can we talk about my two favorite MMC's !!!

I definitely didn't see it coming but I'm not complaining. I literally squealed and clapped my fckn hands like a little girl when they kissed!

I Need Book 2 Now!!!
This has been on my most anticipated short list since I caught wind of it and from the first page to the last, it did not disappoint! I worried that I wouldn’t transition well from the Notorius boys, but let me tell you, this is darker, hotter and faster paced than any of Sophie’s previously released book and had me by the throat and hasn’t let go, thanks to that killer cliffhanger!
This book has left me speechless. I loved the storyline, I loved the characters and I love this new world. There is nothing I did not love about this book. All I can say is that Sophie is a one click author for me and I think that once you read one book from her, you will read them all!

This wasn't the easy win I was expecting I did for the most part enjoy myself but I also struggled to connect to the story. It's a reverse harem mafia romance which includes some M/M. Serafina Biancha is the new Donna of the Cosa Nostra, it's a break from tradition with her being female that not every ones happy about. When her best friend and right-hand man Enzo is killed protecting her Sera is heartbroken and out for revenge.
Enzo’s cousin Levi takes on the mantle of Sera’s protection. He's always held a candle for the woman in question but out of respect for his cousin's feelings has never made his move. With Enzo gone, there's now nothing standing in his way and as Sera’s new second in command, he’s determined to keep her safe from her many enemies.
Also on board is Luca who has been drowning in his pain and grief as his father was also killed alongside Enzo. He initially holds Sera responsible but that swiftly changes as he gets to know her better and soon he’s behaving just as protective as Levi.
We also have Giovanna, Sera’s new bodyguard. Gio is a silent vault and refuses to speak but he still manages to forge a connection with Sera despite his silence and lack of words. He also has some deep secrets and it's obvious he's struggling.
So it did take me a while to settle in here and though I'm usually onboard for any M/M in my reverse harems this wasn't working for me here. It came so far out of left field it felt weird and not organic to the story. There was no prior inkling and these two were essentially straight mafia men then BAM!!! They're attracted to each other. The dynamic just felt off.
This had action, revenge betrayal and some serious spice. It was well-written and despite it not being a full house for me was still an easy read. The finale was the best part and left me stunned. I was certainly blindsided and didn't see that one coming. I will for sure be reading the conclusion how could I not after that finish?

This book will grab readers and never let the go. I am going to be talking about this book for a while. Yes, it ends on a serious cliffhanger. Why, Sophie, Why??!?! Serafina Bianchi is the next in line to head up the La Costa Nostra. Basically she is the head of all the mafia families. You know there is someone not willing to accept a woman being the leader. They make it known from the beginning that they are trying to get rid of her. Serafina's reign is nonstop madness and chaos. In the middle of all of this her best friend and second in command gets killed on the day she is installed as the leader.
Serafina has to go on with life without him. She selects her second in command, Levi Marchese. Levi is her best friend's cousin. They were all close as kids. Levi knows Serafina and can help her lead. She, of course, has an enforcer, Luca Fontana. Luca was thrust into the position when his father was killed while trying to protect Serafina. Luca is pissed but can't hide from the attraction, the pull her feels toward Serafina. He needs retribution but he might need her more. Then there is the bodyguard, Giovanni. Serafina’s father insisted on him being her bodyguard. He is quiet but always exuding comfort to Serafina when needed.
Revenge, betrayal and steam are on the agenda. Serafina is surrounded by three men that would put their life on the line for her. The attraction is present but can she go there with any of them? Though the mafia is the main factor in this book, readers get so much more. The action and the steamy sexiness that this book exudes will have readers begging for more. I need the second book now!

The Silence Lies is an insatiable part one of a dark mafia book with jaw dropping cliff hanger at the end that is just so cruel - I need more!
The book is definitely on the longer side, but the positives to this means there is more time build the characters and their anticipation - each one has such rich and developed POVs throughout the story.
Serafina (Sera) is the strong female leader of La Cosa Nostra, following in her father’s footsteps and fulfilling her Bianchi name and deep family history. She is beautiful, smart but has lived through torture, abuse and most recently the loss of her best friend and second in command, Enzo. Luckily she has not one but 3 men who are acting to protect her…and lure her in (to their arms). But is it protection that Sera needs or something else?
Following the attraction and draw between Sera and Levi, Luca and Gio had me sitting at the edge of lmy seat…especially when things got spicy with some bi-awakening MM. Wow, just wow! Drooling here. Bring on book 2.

March 25, 2025 DNFing at 50%. Frankly, I just kept forgetting I was in the middle of this book and I didn't connect with the characters at all. Luca and Levi were interchangeable for me, and I found it hard to believe that Sera was the head of a crime family.

What a book and what a cliffhanger. It was so good! I loved that Sera is the first female leader of Cosa Nostra.
There is so much going on that you stay tense the entire time you read. Piece by piece you get more information about her terrible relationship with Luciano (the enemy) when she was young.
Her second in command, Levi is so sweet, amusing and knows what Sera needs. He gives her the time she needs after losing Enzo.
Her relationship with Luca is also so real! He sees that she needs to let go of all her obligations.
And Luca and Levi. Oh, I love a bi awakening! Levi senses Luca so well, just like he does with Sera. He knows what they need.
I don't dare to make a judgment about Gio in this first book.
The spicy is panty dropping good! They are not extensive or long scenes, but they are oh so good!

Wow this book!
I when I read the blurb I needed to read it now and it did not disappoint in the slightest. I’m always a sucker for a Reverse harem but when I say I would be reading about a female mafia leader with spice and revenge. It was a must read.
The prologue hit me right in the heart and pulled me right in, I needed to read more and know more, I could not put it down.
I adored the multiple POV chapters and the internal thoughts though out the book from each character just made the book for me being able to see inside there heads.
I loved that from everyone’s first chapter you could tell how they would eventually all just mould together to create amazing chemistry. Oh and the spice wow it was hot, and well written.
How can I forget the plot twists. That had you constantly thinking and wondering who and what! To the point where I was highlighting and annotating on my kindle which I don’t normally do. All I can say is prepare for your heart to be broken, put back together and then broken again. The cliffhanger is one I did not see coming and can no wait for book two to be released I need it now 😂

Dark and twisty why choose mafia romances are my favorites and this one will definitely stick in my mind for awhile! This book literally starts off with a bang. There’s a lot of action, some spice, and some serious betrayal.
Sera has a huge weight on her shoulders as the new head of the Italian mafia. Grieving the loss of her best friend, she sets her mind on revenge. I love Sera! She seems to have the ruthlessness (when she needs) as well as a mind for leadership, but is also kind and caring.
Gio, the silent and secretive body guard may have ripped my heart out a little. Levi and Luca😍. Sera’s second in command and her enforcer have such a great dynamic with not only Sera but together. I love how they can be the strength when the other can’t.
The spice level is really good in this book! Some of these scenes will be replays in my head for sure!
Umm that cliffhanger definitely caught me by surprise. I can’t wait to find out the why and how and what’s next for all these characters!

A slow burn mafia romance. Tropes include: mafia, revenge, why choose, bodyguard, friends to lovers. Sera and her merry band of men. Female mafia boss, headstrong and set out on taking revenge on the family that set out to destroy hers. This is filled with so much drama and spice! The pace isn’t fast but also not a grueling pace it keeps a nice steady one throughout. The plot was 4/5, the spice was 3/5. Cliffhanger really got me and now I’m let wanting to know more!

This is incredible start to this series. Sera is the first female leader of Cosa Nostra. This is a slow build with her and the guys. It’s definitely worth the ride they carry you on. The guys are amazing. You can’t help but fall in love with them. This book will make you scream and cry but the cliffhanger ending will make you beg for the next book.

Serafina becomes the boss of the highest mafia family. Obviously, being a female, she receives a lot of backlash. It's like a never-ending cycle of attacks against her. To what extent are the men in her life willing to go to protect her. Gio? Is he trustworthy? What's the deal with Enzo? Can we talk about Levi & Luca?
I'm honestly shocked by multiple things in this book. I will be reading the second book because I need to know what happens. There are too many unanswered questions.
Definitely worth the read.

This was a stuff your kindle day read and my first book of 2024.
The first female mafia leader takes the reins after her father steps down. Her best friend is killed in the transition and rival families are gunning for her.
Cons:
-Like many mafia-related books, we never really know what these “leaders” do. There are all these meetings and vague discussions on shipments, and many discussions on loyalty, but I never quite understand what they actually do. So while I get their business is in drugs and other seedy ventures the reader never learns anything about how this operation works. It’s just background to the romance. They sit around all day plotting, but even the plans of attack are vague. I get its romance, but give me something.
- Why can’t her father and grandfather help her. She’s just made the new leader and then she’s just expected to take over the business. Like they couldn’t even help her ease into the transition over a few months ?
-We all immediately knew it was the mute bodyguard right? Like why hire a man who does not speak? It’s even stranger that you trust him with your life? How!? Because he gives you meaningful looks? Also the father never explains to her where he found this guy or why he is so trustworthy. For a mafia queen who was raised in the life, that was so dumb. They’re all trying to find the mole and I’m thinking hmm I wonder if it’s the only person that’s new to the family, who hasn’t said a word since he got here.
Pros:
-I like the characters. While I did find it hard to separate their voices at the beginning(the two men especially) , I think towards the middle of the book they become more identifiable.
-Overall it was a fun read. It’s outrageous and ridiculous and fun.
-The cliffhanger. While I could see the bodyguard being the mole straight away, I did not see her bff being alive. That alone has me ready to read book #2 (doesn’t come out until June sadly). Now we know who helped them out during the shootout.

This book is insane!! It all starts with Sera becoming the Head of La Cosa Nostra. Not all the families are cool with a woman in charge and that what fires up this book. Sera has to prove that she handled this and keep the order. Tensions are high and you have to know who you can and can't trust. Sera is grieving but keeps her head up. Her team of Levi and Luca has many issues. Levi is loyal 100% to her, Luca, not at first, but overcomes his issues to have her back. They bring on some more people to show they won't back down. The Verdi family isn't happy and is out for blood against Sera. So not only is she dealing with all this, she is having feeling towards her men. I loved Sera. i loved how she never backed down and held her head up high. She was out to protect her men, her name and bring the bad guys down. Levi and Luca, I adored. These two men butted heads throughout most of the book and I honestly didn't know if they'd ever like each other. Boy was I wrong!!! My sweet Giovanni.. he was her bodyguard, quiet and protective, has a reason for why he does what he does. This book will keep you on your toes! So many times you heart will burst out of your chest and you'll hold your breathe until you know everyone is ok. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book!!! This book has a strong amazing woman, who isn't afraid to hold her own and get what she wants, especially when it comes to her three guys. I went into this book somewhat blind and I'm so glad that I did!! The bi-awakening between characters was a complete shock to me and I loved every minute of that especially the scene with Sera..not gonna spoil anything!!! The dynamics of how everyone played their parts was brilliant! Oh and truth be told, I am NOT a fan of how this book ends!! I was all into it, wanting to know what the heck just happened and then bam, OVER!!! Ugh I need more!!!

Serafinas book is amazing. She's a baddy that knows how to take charge when the men in her life try to get in the way. Her father has stepped down and appointed her to take his place, but he wants things run his way. She's not having it though and I live that about her. Her men support her actions as well and that's amazing.
This is a very well written book and I can't wait to get to the next one!

killer ending
That was one heck of a cliffhanger ending. For those who love to be tortured in waiting, give this book a try. I enjoy a great mafia and a why chose mmfm but to have it in one book was a lot of fun.
The things I loved were that Serafina was the head of the family and the Donna (female Don). This is not done a lot and loved that. The scenes were hot and loved each one. It’s a bit of a slow burn for me for this type of story but when dealing with grief and revenge of not expect it to happen right away. I wasn’t expecting so much who the two males would be that would share the mm scenes and I won’t spoil who. But both were and always assumed were strait so it’s more of a right person at the right time situation vs an attraction right away when it comes to the two mmc’s that come together.
I also really loved that it was the fmc that basically said to these three men, I want all of you and I won’t chose. That was kinda hot for me.
All and all I really enjoyed this one and after that cliffhanger I wanna read the next one now

This book took me a bit to get into. Personally, for me, when there are so many characters and some have similar names, it takes me longer to get into. Once I finally got a feel for everyone and who was who, I really enjoyed the book.
This is a polyam based story that builds from a why choose into polyam based troupe. I'd say the first 60% of the book is a slow build-up to the spice, but once you get there, it's a good spice. (🌶🌶🌶 out of 5).
I absolutely loved the graphics at the start of each chapter.
The main character doesn't start off as a strong character, but you do see her grown in the book.
This is written from multiple points of view (4 total).

I LOVED the storyline of the first female mafia leader and the bruised egos of the “old school” men in the mafia. I love how Sera grew more confident with her role& became a badass. She opened up her heart to others. She has gone through so much abuse and loss and now she is finally learning what being treated with love and respect feels like.
This book keeps you guessing until the very end. Some points I saw coming from a mile away, and some were so subtly placed in that it was amazing when they finally made themselves known.
I can't wait for the next book to see what happens!

my first read from this Author. And I loved this story. Serafina is stepping in two her fathers' place.as he wants to step down she will now be the head of La Cosa Nostra and the first ever woman to rule. she knows the day won't be easy. When she is made the new leader. she has her right-hand man and best friend Enzo at her side.it all looks to have gone well but then someone attacks she is their main hit. but Enzo and Luca s father get killed. this is down to the Verdi family. now Serafina is a very strong character. Who will do anything to protect, and she will do everything she can to keep them, the Schenes in this book are amazing and very hot, can you love more than one person? the men are all very strong characters oh and the ending what a cliffhanger so can't wait for book two and will be reading a lot more from this author.

Just like all the rest of her books, Sophie knocks it out of the park in this juicy reverse harem. This book. THIS BOOK. It has it all. First I LOVE the strong, reserved female Mafia leader role. The FMC is written so well, the thought processes she goes through and the way the writer takes us through her brain is amazing. And the men that surround her? Take me... lol. I love the way they all fit around the FMC like puzzle pieces, each giving her what she needs in different ways. The tension in the slow burn is FIRE and it's like a ticking time bomb when it goes off, absolutely explosive. And if you've read Sophie before... this cliffie is the MOTHER of all cliffies and you never see it coming. I'll be in a funk after reading this one for sure.

Holy roller coaster ride! And that ending! This book had the perfect amount of action leading up to each twist and turn. Every time I thought we were getting somewhere and learning who was doing what there was another perfect twist to keep you in suspense. Wonderfully done! And let’s talk spice. Wow! I loved that it wasn’t instalove which is a change from what I normally read. But when the MCs do finally come together it is hot 🥵 but also the two MMC that fall for each other are the freaking cutest!! I need more of them!!! When is book 2 coming because I need it yesterday!
