The Abbey is a neutral space in the midst of a lawless city and I stand as its steward. Anointed by the High Power and answerable only to the Bishop, I keep the peace. Sometimes people try to bribe me with gifts—property, cash…people. None of that interest me. After all, I’m a man of the cloth. I’ve said my vows and abide by them and I have never, ever been tempted to stray. This new gift might break me. She might make me forsake my vows. She’s definitely leading me down the road to sin.
Angel
Okay, I was dumb. In my attempt to protect my friend, I got kidnapped and dropped on the doorstep of some…church like place? I don’t really know. The stone mansion is surrounded by high walls and the windows are made of stained glass. There’s a man here with wearing vestments and oh, I’m going to hell for the things I’m thinking about him. Truth be told, though, I need to get out of here because I’m worried if I stay, I’ll never want to leave.
Angel, after being kidnapped, finds herself in an abbey. Bjornssen is the priest, a different one. When he looks at Angel, he knows nothing will be the same.
And when superior orders come, he won't obey them. He'll do anything to keep her, even if it means going to war.
This story interacts with . Angel is Lauren best friend, and when she tries to save her, Kane sends her to Bjornssen. Both men will fight the order to keep both of his wives.
Delicious DUAL VIRGIN goodness!! Quote (about him never succumbing to temptation), "“Every man succumbs to temptation at some point in his life.” His warning falls on deaf ears. Especially to a girl that has never been claimed by anyone. " “But you haven’t, have you? Not even once?” He turns his head to face me. “Never.” “Not even a kiss?" Quote, “I want a kiss.” His eyes actually widen. My heart races as I wait for a response, terrified either way. Will he push me away or give me something neither he nor I have ever given anyone else before?" SWOON SWOON SWOON!!! Neither has ever touched, kissed or done anything with the opposite sex!! Angel and Bjornson are kinky! *wink wink* They both enjoy a little pain and being tied up. She enjoys being dominated with some pain, and he enjoys some pain and giving pain as well. Rough sex is in their wheelhouse as well and yes the sex scenes are hot, because there is never any doubt that they are head over heels for each other. Especially him, he just knew, and she had a few doubts after the 10 days of him not seeing her, which is understandable. Safe No cheating No OM No OW No gross condom use No OW comparison 10 day separation (they are in the same place but he stays away from her. The reason was kind of meh but I understand it was a catalyst for her to attempt to run away...after their first sexual encounter, she kind of ran away from him to her room. Angel waited for Bjornson but he would not come to see her, but she would smell him in her bed, letting her know he was there at night... until the last few days when he no longer was. His explanation was that he was losing control and if he was with her, he would be in bed with her all day and night, and he had to keep his mind clear to defeat their enemies. His refusal to his higher ups in the church and his refusal to kill Kane, the hero in the first book, "The Good Bad Man", lead to the inevitable all out war, so he had to prepare.) 1 week separation (Kane and Bjornson) took Angel and Laurel to a place far away until they tied up loose ends back home. The ending is them coming back to get them after a week. The weakest part of the book is that it ends there, and I wish there was an epilogue with them enjoying their future, getting married and seeing them happy. An epilogue in the future would be so great! HFN/HEA (but I believe in their love so much that I can imagine a HEA, even though I would love to see one described in a long epilogue). So a lot of their interactions and story I described already, but the gist is that Bjornsonn is priest of sorts, from a faction that dabbles in dangerous things. He keeps the peace and was part of the church since he was a child. One of the many sins he never indulged in that would result in excommunication is lust. That never bothered him because he never was interested in a woman, even when women would offer themselves to him, he would politely refuse and the women thrown at him as a prize, he never abused his power over them. His sexual awakening happened when he laid his eyes on the beauty, Angel. She has had a difficult upbringing as well, in and out of foster care and always forgotten, until she meets Laurel (the heroine in the first book, also a dual virgin romance), they met at the library and they struck up a friendship. Angel is really a ride of die friend and I love her sense of loyalty. When she is captured, she did not know that Bjornson captured her for life in all ways! I thoroughly enjoyed this! I recommend reading Kane and Laurel's story in "The Good Bad Man" and then reading this one. As I type this, I am already itching to reread it, it was so good! This love story was better than I expected and also very unexpected! One more thing that all the dual virgin romance lovers want, is when the hero says that "she is all his", we scream for him to say that "he is all hers as well, mind body and soul"......WE GET THIS HERE!! *fist pump* Quote, “Only I will ever have you.” He pulls out and thrusts back in, making me moan. “Only you’ll ever have me.” “Bjornsson,” I whimper, loving that. We’re both giving each other something that no one else can ever have. Both physically and emotionally." Now THAT is both sexy and so romantic!!! *dreamy sigh* I will be rereading both books. This is an insta favorite for sure! Happy reading everyone!
I found it original in certain aspects in this kind of novella. It's an instalove romance, yes, though the cloistered setting in the middle of the city and the semireligious ambience give it a kick out of the ordinary. The order that's a mix of sacred and criminal makes it convincing and seductive.
The story is about a street-wise girl who is kidnapped for information, but her captor is no ordinary man. A sort of priest in an order of power and city balance, he's sworn to celibacy. Well, spoiler alert. He's going to blow away his vows in a big, hot, naughty way as his will gets eroded by his captive's many charms. I really liked the depiction of his holy residence, very atmospheric. And the pull of forbidden romance is always enticing. This couple is a match in temperament and erotic kinks.
The plot evolves into conspiracy and mayhem, and it ties wonderfully with a previous novella. I like that.
My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
4.5/5 stars
This book picks up when Laurel’s friend is taken away when she came to find her friend at Kane’s apartment from The Good Bad Man. You aren’t told her name in that book, you find out in this book she is a foster care kid and the state gave her a name, Mary, but she told Laurel her name was Charlotte, from Netflix’s Queen Charlotte. Bjornsson is the powerful man she was given to, he calls her Angel. He owns the abbey, it is a neutral place in their city. He sort of represents the church. He wears the collar of a priest but it didn’t seem he was an ordained one. He is more like the church’s hit man, he gets orders from a corrupt Bishop to take out Kane, of course he doesn’t do it which leads to mass destruction of the abbey and an intense firefight. Bjornsson is attracted to his Angel from the moment he sees her, he knows he should not be but he can’t fight it. The more time they spend together the more the attraction grows. He wants info on Laurel and Angel is keeping quiet. She does try to escape the first day but finds out the abbey is a giant maze with a hidden exit. She then tries to rile Bjornsson up everyday. It works, they have a hot steamy moment in one of the hidden gardens. He takes her virginity with his fingers and gets her off several times. Soon he’s called away to deal with the mob guy from previous book and another guy called Butcher who wants both girls, apparently he’s already paid for them. Bjornsson is never giving up his Angel but he does stay away from her for days. Angel is mad and heartbroken, she gave him her virginity and she thinks he ditched her. She decides that she can’t stay locked up in the abbey anymore and escapes, she is headed back to Kane’s to see if he will protect her and let her see Laurel. Right before she can step in his building Bjornsson nabs her and takes her back to the abbey. He’s done fighting his feelings and they have their first time together, dual virgins! When he is asked to give up the girls and kill Kane by the Bishop he refuses and the church higher ups send guys to kill him and take Angel, Butcher has joined forces with them. He and Angel fight their way out and almost escape. Butcher has Angel at knife point and Bjornsson is hurt from fighting with the bad guys. In swoops Kane, he shoots Butcher and saves the day. Once he is all healed up he and Kane go to deal with the higher up at the church, the Bhisop was killed by the church and given to Bjornsson as an offer of contrition but Bjornsson wants to make sure they leave him and his Angel alone now. Epilogue with Angel possibly pregnant and I love you with more sexy times. It was heartbreaking to read how Angel loved Laurel and considered her a friend and went up against a very powerful man to find her and Laurel never even thought of her. I’m glad she saw how Bjornsson choose her even above his position at the abbey, he choose her above everything. He showed her she was loved and worthy.

I read this through KU. I’m still on the fence about buying it. I wouldn’t even consider buying it if it wasn’t for that hot scene at the fountain❤️🔥😈 but for $.99 I might. The premise is different for this book which is cool but for the book being a tiny darkish, really a dark gray, the all the way smex scene was a total let down. After them messing around at the fountain I was totally expecting when they went all the way it was going to be Kindle melting… Spoiler alert it was NOT😒 and the epilogue was also a snooze fest. I was really liking the book up to the Fountain scene but really after that it was all disappointing. Up to the Fountain scene the book was 4.5 stars ✨ and then the fountain scene took it to 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. After the ⛲️ scene the book went to 2.5 ⭐️ imo. I would rate the book 3.5 stars but you can’t on Amazon so because I like some of these author’s books I upgraded to 4⭐️ instead of 3✨
The hero and heroine from this book were mentioned in The Good Bad Man by Ella Goode, which gave just enough of a tease to wonder about them. Angel was just trying to help her friend when she finds herself at the hands of the hero. She tempts him in ways no other has and our hero finds himself struggling with his vow of celibacy. But the temptation is too much and both our hero and heroine have met their match. As a result, they find themselves in danger from the "higher power" and the man who originally "bought" both Angel and her friend. Yet, neither man will let their woman go and everyone gets their HEA.

Plot: We met Angel at the end of The Good Bad Man when she tried to save her friend from the mobster Kane. It turns out that her friend didn't really need saving, but Kane wasn't taking any chances. He had her delivered to Bjornnson the priest, a priest who is now wondering if those vows of abstinence are so important after all.
Commentary: I wish we could have gotten a lot more about this organization because it seems like he's a priest but not really because? I can't tell if that's the actual Church and they're using it as a front for a whole shadow organization or if it's an organization that mimics the structure and function of the Church. Some of that confusion colored my enjoyment of the story - obviously I still understood the love story, but I wanted some of Bjornnson's backstory and I think that would have come with more explanation.
🔹What makes Ella's books different is, that both MCs are witty, and have fun to gether in general. Banter is good and the smut is really sexy.
🔹But in this one, I dont think the preacher-angel part was really explored. It all felt very flat. Its like the author didnt put any effort into writing this.
🥴I did not feel any chemistry.
(ive been binging parks and rec a lot lately.)
🙂Anyway, enjoy your cup of coffe. No sugar. No cream. And no coffee.
💗Dual Virgins. 🔹30/19. 👀Preacher/Commoner. She isint LITERALLY an angel. He's ex-mafia or some shit. who cares👀 🥰she is a bit witty and sassy. he's just boring. 🔥Smut-7/10. (thats too low for Ella Goode) 👉No-cheating. 🖤No OW/OM drama. 💗HEA.
I read this for the cover....lol - it really spoke to me and after reading it, I'd give it maybe 3.5 stars? I do love a good priest story (hence why I was pulled in by the cover), but was Bjornsson really a priest? Eh kinda 😂 If you like your priests to be the vengeful kind who keep the piece with force and killing. 😂 It was good but there was just something that didn't pull me in enough to want me to read Santino and Laurel's book....maybe not spicy enough? Not sure. It was good, but not outstanding.
The forgvniss from y my God and i walk to road of sin even many hard wall stand there but the evil dance around my shadow plz God forgive me my vow and word still at my heart but there war come to take it all by all natural emotion y gift it me how i can keep my oath when y give me beutfl rainbow why i must carry amprila plz God make my life to rest as y wish without wind od pain and wound and write me with all my love and who love at yr book give me rest and love
I enjoyed this one as much as I could considering it features a father of the Lord even though that’s not really my thing. He took an oath to the Lord and he’s tempted by her and even acts on his temptation. Good story, I just wish it had a different background.
This book feels like it starts in middle of a sentence and you missed the first part. It’s very disjointed. I really couldn’t get into it at all. First time for me by this author. I honestly didn’t get too far into the book. I quit at page 30 because I just felt so lost and directionless.
"The Good Bad Girl" is the story of Angel and Bjornssen.
So, this was a bit confusing. Big bad protector priest guy kidnaps innocent heroine because of her best friend. They eventually have sex after lots of chest thumping. I just didnt get the plot, and the epilogue was.. confusing.

I’m loving novellas for introductions to new authors. This author posted in a ruby dixon group and I’m glad I gave this book a shot, it was cute. Tropes: mafia, “priest,” kidnapping, instalove, forbidden. Plus there’s a little spice.
Oh, how I wish this was a full-length novel. I wanted more, more background, more oh-la-la scenes, more, more, more!! No spoilers? "You're right. Death is inevitable, but love goes on..."
I have read everything this author has written, but this one was weird to me. It was hard for me to get into, not because of the characters, more because of the concept. I do wish there had been more about her and Laurel I this than just back story.
I give this a 2.75 I'm not sure I enjoyed it, it was a quick read I definitely wish there was more at certain parts, like maybe the end, but the storyline was alright and it kept me pretty entertained plan of reading the other girls story since it'll be a quick read as well

°Virgin heroine °Virgin hero (30) °Dual POV °No OW/OM drama °OTT alpha hero °Annoying heroine °No separation °No cheating or scenes with OP °Low steam °I didn't like that he popped her cherry with his finger 😞 °Lackluster ending: HFN - she's pregnant
It was an OK read. It was not as hot as I expected. Angel is a young girl who ends up tempting the most powerful man in the church. And the most dangerous. Because he would go to warm with whomever dared to come for his woman. Recommended
“There will always be evil in this world. You can’t stop that, but you can balance the scales. Even in the dark, a little light can shine.” -Father Bjornsson, from The Good Bad Girl by Ella Goode
This was all over the place. I wish the setting was explained, the characters had more interaction and there was more description. This could’ve been really cool, like a John Wick love story thing.
Definitely different from other countries and intriguing moments! Sensual in-depth pleasure throughout this book!! Good drama moments and continue situations that came up!! I will definitely recommend this book to my friends!!
A ver, estuvo bueno, pero sienro que hay muchas cosas que en mi cabeza no terminaron de encajar, eso sí, fue de fácil y rápida lectura. Pero sin duda también cambiaría algunas cosas para que terminara de cerrar
I wanted to like this one more, but it was not what I was expecting. It took too long to explain the Church. I did enjoy the banter between Bjorn and Angel.
