In the heart of the crumbling wastelands, the drums of rebellion resound louder than ever. The vampires have been preparing for revolution for their entire lives. It’s now just over one week away.
In a pulse-pounding race against time, William and his comrades prepare to lead one of the sixteen armies in a daring assault on the towering strongholds of their oppressors. With the fate of their revolution hanging in the balance, they must navigate the treacherous waters of uncertainty, facing a formidable enemy shrouded in mystery. As the countdown to confrontation dwindles, they steel themselves for battle, knowing that, ready of not, they’re going to war. If they’re to be successful, they must capitalise on the fleeting advantage of surprise.
Revolution is the eighteenth book in the thrilling post-apocalyptic Beyond These Walls saga.

Summary:
William and his friends are broken up into different groups with one goal- overthrow the leaders of the blocks and insure the survival of everyone not just the entitled few. This has come at extreme loss by every member of the group. They have overcome the odds of traveling through unimaginable dangers and somehow maintained their humanity. Unfortunately attempting to take over the blocks could lead them into even more treacherous situations.

Things are about to spiral out of control with only trust between each other. Who will survive? Will the succeed? If they fail it could mean death to humanity.

As the story unfolded for the reader the love, friendship and trust between William and his friends creates it’s own story as the dangers mount up.

I for one can’t wait to read the next book in the Beyond These Walls series.

Our team of survivors are seeing an end to their misery finally, as they are preparing for war against their formidable enemies. The vampires are planning to enter the towers and take these down, however as the countdown to this attack starts they still need to reconnoitre, to get more details of how best to enter the towers, and to raise some more Icarus towers and activate these. As the group separates to tackle their own jobs they are stressed to the max, and keep attacking one another. Stress levels are at maximum levels as they are tired and frustrated, the diseased are all over the place so every move they make endangers them, but these they can handle, it's the unknown in the towers that scares them. Secrecy is key as they have to take the towers by surprise if they are to succeed. This book is a nail biting book, as the Shining City looms so close now to what they hope is their freedom. Can our group survive the upcoming war? Can they really approach in secret across the wastelands? Will any of them finally walk free? We've been through so many challenges with out group of survivors, they have become like family who we are rooting for, hoping for a happy ending for some of them at least!

This episode has our friends preparing for war with their oppressors. Like it or not, they must overthrow the vampires, or die trying. Mr. Robertson continues to dive deeper into his characters’ personalities, as they must cope with what, at times, seems like a truly hopeless future. As they constantly face one setback after another, it would be very easy to just succumb to the diseased creatures. Can they keep plodding along, taking what small victories they’ve been able to eke out? Or will the war of attrition become insurmountable after all? This series is well-written and keeps me engrossed, even after so many books; I highly recommend it, and am eager to read more.

Wow, you never know who is safe in this series! This instalment was gruesome, sad and shocking. I liked to follow the familiar characters on their horrific journey of survival and how they continue to battle 'those in power'...will they succeed in overpowering the regime?

Apart from the use of 'me either' instead of 'me neither', the writing was excellent - fast-paced, thoughts and feelings and descriptive enough for the images to print onto the brain.

Each character had a distinctive personality and was well-developed.

I can guess but I wonder what's coming next?

Highly recommended.

What a Ride!

I have now read ALL eighteen books in this series! I could not put them down, becoming so invested in the characters within these books is completely and utterly unavoidable.
The most frustrating thing about these books, is that number nineteen is not out until 2025! Oh well, just a few short months to wait.
Seriously, if you're looking for an apocalyptic read involving the undead - and some people who are actually worse, then this is it!
Michael Robertson, you Sir, are a genius! And this series is a masterpiece!

Revolution is the excellent 18th book in the Beyond These Walls series. The main characters have long been friends and they are usually relatable and likable to me. The non-stop action and intense situations kept me reading and now I want more. I highly recommend the entire series but you should definitely read them in the order written to keep the storyline straight.

Disclaimer: I received this ARC from the author and this is my honest and freely given opinion.

I just love this series it has gone from strength to strength. Plenty of action and adventure the tension remains throughout. With multiple story lines there are cliffhangers at the end of most chapters.
The finale is incredible with an unexpected twist I definitely recommend this book

intense

Not my normal genre by any means, but I got the first one a few years ago, and never looked back. Great read with nonstop action. Maybe even a tear or ten!
