How will the apocalypse end? An amnesiac and a mysterious stranger might herald a new beginning—or the destruction of everything.

I awoke one day on a beach in Northern California with no memory of who I am or how I got here. But a group of refugees from the apocalypse took me in. After two months in the camp they call Sanctuary, I still can't remember anything.

Then a man drops out of the sky.

Who is Gabriel? Who sent him here? He can be a total jerk, then turn around and save me from certain death. The moment we met, something sparked between us, something hot and undeniable. I don't like him, but I'll need to lay my life in his hands to survive whatever comes next. Gabriel is a warrior, and the only person in either world who has explored the entirety of the Echo.

But the mission a mad man started did not die with him. Without its creator, the Echo might destroy both worlds—itself and the Earth. Someone must figure out how to stop it. Someone? Yeah, that's me and my gruff protector. The powerful, intensely sensual connection I share with Gabriel has become our only shot at ending the chaos once and for all.

Perfect. Amnesia girl and the beast to the rescue.

Echo Unbound is the third and final installment in the Echo Power Trilogy of steamy paranormal romances.

Anna Durand is a bestselling, multi-award-winning author of contemporary and paranormal romance. Her books have earned bestseller status on every major retailer and wonderful reviews from readers around the world. But that’s the boring spiel. Here are some really cool things you want to know about Anna!

Born on Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Anna grew up moving here, there, and everywhere thanks to her dad’s job as an instructor pilot. She’s lived in Texas (twice), Mississippi, California (twice), Michigan (twice), and Alaska—and now Ohio.

As for her writing, Anna has always invented stories in her head, but she didn’t write them down until her teen years. Those first awful books went into the trash can a few years later, though she learned a lot from those stories. Eventually, she would pen her first romance novel, the paranormal romance Willpower, and she’s never looked back since.

'A fitting finale for a series full of thrills, twists, turns, and a whole lot of 'something more'. Wink wink. Anna Durand displaying her writing prowess with this dystopian series finale' -TheBritishBibliophile_

Thank you to Anna Durand for sending me an ebook Advanced Readers Copy as part of her ARC team for me to read and leave an honest review.
------------------------------

As I said in one of my reviews for one of the previous two books in the series, the dystopian genre is not one I tend to go for as it's not one of my go-to book genres. However, I was willing to give I a try here since it's not War of the Worlds, but is more of a dystopian romance. Plus, it's Anna Durand. I'm willing to try anything she writes because she's that amazing to read.

Since this was going to be a trilogy, it was going to be one of three things. One, a series of standalones. Two, interconnecting books featuring the same two leads in all three books. Or three, an interconnecting series feating a different set of main characters in each book. As you can probably tell if like me you've read all three books, Anna has chosen the latter. Personally, I think she made the right choice in doing so. By splitting this interconnecting series into focusing on three main characters each time, the bigger picture of their group, the world around them and everything else is split into three segments, rather than three, drawn-out books with the same pair leading us all the way through.

Gabriel and "Sarah" are our main characters this time around. Though hardly an angel, Gabriel is quite literally dropped into Sarah's life--and indeed the world they're currently living in--, and is less than a bucket full of sunshine. He's the grump we'll grow to love and gives us the grumpy-to-sunshine trope in full force. He might come across as arrogant and rude, but it's Sarah who brings out the true man beneath the gruff exterior, and we'll see her bring out that man as the two of them embark on an adventure together which should hopefully and once and for all, bring an end to the series of events happening around them and everyone else. Sarah, on the other hand, has to navigate the self-same world and Gabriel dropping into her life, all without knowing who she is. Not only does she have to help the group and contribute to helping restore the world to what it was before, she has to find herself, too.

And it's not easy with what is endlessly thrown their way. Twists and turns, one thing after another, they battle through it till they're literally on their knees. That still doesn't stop them from fighting for what both the group needs, and what they want as a couple. Both things are worth fighting for, even when it seems like it's quite literally the end of the world.

What, might you ask, was the key to saving the world? Well, that you'll have to discover when you pick up this read and the other two in the trilogy. It must be said, I did find it somewhat amusing, and a hell of a lot entertaining to read how they had to save the world. Or rather, what was another key component in saving said world. It wasn't what I expected it to be, but that doesn't mean that it was any less entertaining. In fact, it was entraining. Several times over, entertaining. I wish I could say more, but it would spoil it. I will say this though...bravo Anna!

Echo Unbound was a truly enlightening read to spend my time on. Though I am not used to this genre as previously mentioned, thanks to Anna's skilful writing, I'm coming around to liking the genre thanks to her unique spin on things. I would most definitely give another read of hers a chance should she decide to go down the dystopian route again some time in the near future.

4.5 stars!

Brilliant Conclusion! Great Story, Series & Listen🎧

Echo Unbound
Echo Power Trilogy, Book 3
By: Anna Durand
Narrated by: Jason Clarke, Rose Dioro

Anna Durand pens a fantastic conclusion to her amazing “Echo Power Trilogy” and she takes you along with her characters for a wild, action-packed ride and a steamy one too. I loved the originality of this series, the fascinating characters and storylines, as well as the world she created. Gabriel was sent to the sanctuary and the first person he sees is Sarah, the girl with amnesia, she overlooked his rudeness and brings him back to meet the others who were not trusting of who he was or how he found them. With a bigger plan in motion, there is a reason these two met, and it turns out there is so much more between them than that smoking hot and explosive chemistry, but they need to explore it first. They need to put an end to what the evil mastermind created, and get to the heart of it and must return to the echo to do so. Time is running out for them and the world as they know it. The two make a great team but despite having super powers they are not enough, she realizes what they need to do and everything falls in to place. This cleverly plotted story brings you to the edge of your seat and has you holding on for dear life, there is plenty of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and some steamy romance and scenes. Ana Durand, thank you for this amazing story and series, it has been a wild ride, and I loved every minute.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Anna Durand, once again, cast the perfect narrators to bring her characters and story to life. Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro are wonderfully talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit their character’s persona and were believable in every role they played. Dioro was a natural in Sarah’s role, she grasped every side of her personality. Clarke knocked it out of the park as Gabriel, starting with an alphatude and not afraid to show his softer side. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances this fantastic story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

**AudioBook (ALC) Review*** A Dystopian experience I can really get behind!

Well, Anna did save the best until last. Echo Unbound is the 3rd and final instalment in the trilogy and is narrated by Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro.

I had not read the previous 2 books: Echo Power and Echo Dominion, so before I started Unbound, I went back and listened to the other 2 books which are interconnected and each book and couple have their own part to play in conquering the Echo.

And boy did Anna take us on a captivating, steamy paranormal romance with an intense drama filled journey.

Gabriel and Sarah’s attraction is instant and their chemistry is out of this world (pun-intended)!
And boy did Jason and Rose bring it!

Their performance was exceptional: Jason was the perfect broody, grump, protector Gabriel who was in effect Sarah’s guardian angel. His British accent was outstanding and I would love to hear more, he is such a talent and combined with his signature growls had me swooning and I was soo here for it!

Rose’s portrayal of the kind, caring, amnesiac girl who was desperately trying to do what she could to save her friends and the world, and also tease-out the grumpy exterior of Gabriel.

I really fell hard for them both and was cheering them on to save the world and get their HEA.

Anna once again delivered the goods! This was a captivating and thrilling story by a great author, performed by a talented cast!

If you are into dystopian themes, with a twist of hot steamy romance with a broody grump Hero and a happy determined heroine, with suspense and drama, then you will love Echo Unbound and Echo Unbound and the Trilogy. Deserves more than 5 stars that’s for sure!

Echo Unbound
Echo Power Trilogy #3
by Anna Durand
Narrated by Jason Clarke & Rose Dioro

All the pieces of the puzzle are finally in place! Anna Durand has taken us on a whirlwind mission that only Gabriel and Sarah could try and stop the echo power. Sarah has lost her memory, and Gabriel fell out of the sky. An unlikely couple, the attraction is strong and they find together they are powerful. But are they powerful enough to stop the echo power? This conclusion to the paranormal trilogy has it all. It's adventure, a bit of science fiction, a little thrilling and a lot of sensual romance all bundled into one exciting story. Durand captivates us with the craziness of one and a power that is out of control. I love the six coming together, the pouring over the journals, the dominance of both Sarah and Gabriel and they way it all comes out at the end. It is full of twists and turns and the ending is completely satisfying! Loved this installment and the entire trilogy.

Rose Dioro shines as Sarah, slightly innocent, strong and worthy. She play her with a gusto that makes Sarah real, and relatable. Jason Clarke is Gabriel, a bit of a loner and lonely, and he comes to life when he meets Sarah. He comes through as focused and sensual. Loved this team and enjoyed this story from start to finish.

Exciting magic and ever changing mystery continues
Echo Unbound (Echo Trilogy Book 3) by Anna Durand is wow! What a conclusion to this trilogy. Hands down, un-put-down-able five star read chock full of all things paranormal and fated love. Sarah and Gabriel, absolute strangers, yet drawn to one another by an unexplainable sense of a bond. Without knowing what magics are at work, both feel an urgent sense of protectiveness and need to be together.
The plot reveals all (and I won’t spoil it for you) including the reason why Gabriel and Sarah are bonding. Their story and adventure takes place in both realms, but most of the work and solidifying of the bond is done in the Echo. This situation becomes confusing and dire, but does nothing to deter either Gabriel or Sarah’s determination to destroy what remains of the evil machinations set in motion. Between the characters love interest and their steamy bonding, the magical elements along with the dangers those present as well as events and the roles of the other bonded couples, this book is truly a page turner.
Overall, through their echo powers, bond and sheer will, Gabriel and Sarah triumph. The whole resolution of this paranormal apocalypse is full of promise and love all around.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

“Echo Unbound” is a crazy, twisty and action packed ride to finish out this apocalypse trilogy that pulls you in as they try to defeat the Echo.

Sarah can’t remember who she is. She woke up on the beach outside the sanctuary and the residents took her in and made her one of their own. Until a man literally falls out of the sky, the team is still working on solving the Echo. Gabriel might be the missing puzzle piece they need to finally defeat the Echo.

The action and steam was turned up for the final book for sure. Sarah is sweet, caring and strong. Her willingness to do what she needed to do was so admirable. And I loved how she never put up with any of Gabriel’s nonsense and stood up to him. Gabriel is a classic Grump, which is always a favorite for me, and even though he might be rough around the edges, he’s a good guy trying to do what he can do to help. Their chemistry was off the charts hot and played an important role in the book. I loved having the rest of the crew involved and how they helped. The ending was great and wrapped it up perfectly.

What a way to stop the end of the world!

Book 3 of the trilogy, it can stand alone but it's best if read in order. While some past events are touched on based on the character's second hand knowledge, you're going to want to know everything so just start at the beginning.

Amnesiac Sarah is the protected member of Sanctuary. She doesn't fight, she doesn't have any knowledge or skills to help the camp thrive, but she's a member of the community.

Gabriel is not the man he was before the alchemy of worlds began. He's spent most of the apocalypse so far inside the Echo. He crashes into Sanctuary and everyone is immediately wary of him. All except Sarah who, for some reason, feels connected to him and wants to help.

We get more of a view of the other side of the end of the world, learn more about what the Echo is and isn't, and through Sarah and Gabriel's bond, learn that it might be possible to stop the end of the world for good.

The audiobook for this final installment of the apocalypse is narrated by Jason Clarke & Rose Dioro. These two are a great pair for this story. Jason is the perfect blend of harsh/growly grump and steamy/dominant dirty talker. Rose is so great as Sarah bringing a beautiful blend of vulnerability and strength. Sarah is following her instincts more than anything else and Rose build Sarah's confidence so well until she's the one who wants to risk it all to save the world... and Gabriel.

I requested and was provided with an advance copy of the audiobook. These are my honest thoughts.

The pieces come together in the exciting conclusion to The Echo Power Trilogy. Gabriel and Sarah are unlikely allies who are pushed together by circumstances outside their control - like everyone else caught up in the echo. She has amnesia, and the reason behind it is genius! He arrives in Sanctuary after fighting for his life in the echo. Now his hopes are smashed into bits and he has a giant attitude problem. They are forced to work together and the sparks fly in this exciting series finale with all the magical mystery, suspense, and unexpected twists and turns that kept me playing 1-more-chapter until the very end.

With Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro you know the performances will be excellent. Rose so perfectly performed Sarah with all of the emotional complexity needed to bring her to life and carry that part of the story flawlessly. Jason’s growly magnificence brings Gabriel’s grumpy, broody, sexyness to life with the perfect amount of vulnerability, and delivers all the steam with this bad-ass hero that has earned him the #JasonEffingClarke tag. Excellent casting!

This trilogy has been a wild entertaining ride. The finale was exciting and thrilling right from the start. This installment follows Gabriel and Sarah, and their story was intriguing. They both have an instant attraction to each other despite their rocky start. They both have been through very different scenarios in the new world they are living in and I loved getting to see the work together save the world.

Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro narrate this book and they bring Gabriel and Sarah to life. Jason does a great job at portraying Gabriel’s grumpy and protective nature. Rose does a great job at portraying Sarah’s strength and smarts despite having amnesia.

I loved every part of this trilogy, if you are looking for heart pounding action, an intriguing story and great narration definitely pick up this series.

This is a strong finish to the dystopian trilogy. It bound up all the loose ends of the story and we got a happily ever after. This series is steeped in magic and physics. Don't let that stop you from reading the series. I was pulling for both the hero and heroine to figure out how to end the changes happening because of a mad mans plan to change everything into his idea of utopia. These two dug through the clues and were open enough to the magic to find the answers and get the plan rolling. They each had to open up to the other and grow individually for them to find success. I think this story was the best of the three.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thought and opinions are my own.

This is the conclusion to this trilogy. The action is fast paced and easily kept my interest. The characters are smart and bold. In here we meet a couple..Gabriel and the amnesia girl (we saw her a bit in the last book). They have instant chemistry which is good since they will be spending time together. Learning to work together and reading each other. Luckily we also get to see the people from the last couple books as all the stories mix to give us a fantastic conclusion.

What a way to wrap up the series! So interesting how everyone had their part to play in setting things right again. Sarah had to constantly battle with Gabriel's grumpy demeanor. How she put up with him at times I have no idea.
I especially loved Gabriel's fun time with the ropes and how he and Sarah were affected in that room. Verrry spicy!
Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke did a fabulous job with the characters and telling Anna's story. Love them together!

Great ending to this series!!
Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke are perfect for these characters!

Note ro readers : you really need to read in order from book 1 to get the most out of this series.

Its a great dystopian/post apocalyptic series that's unique because it goes between two worlds and carries the same theme even though new characters are introduced in each book!

This is an amazing conclusion to the Echo Power Trilogy. This series has been a wild ride thus far and this final book is no different. The mystery continues to build until the revelations. It is thrilling, steamy, gripping, and unique. I enjoyed the narration; Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke did fantastic with the characters. They are easy to understand and emotive.

**Audio Review**
Sweet Lady Godiva! Echo Unbound by Anna Durand was a gripping, wild, and steamy paranormal romance that kept my heart racing till the very end. Anna definitely saved the best for last, finally fitting all of the puzzle pieces together perfectly which in turn gave us one epic ending. Gabriel and Sarah’s journey to HEA is full of thrilling twists and spicy turns that made their unexplainable bond, magnetic and explosive!

Jason Clarke and Rose Dioro narrate this audiobook, and both captivated my attention from start to finish. Rose captured Sarah’s vulnerabilities, strengths, desires, and determination in a mesmerizing performance. (So powerful!) Jason depicted Gabriel’s grumpy, turned-on, and courageous persona perfectly in his signature growly tone. (Hello Chapter 17!) Jason and Rose both brought the heat in this one because Gabriel and Sarah have hot, fated chemistry.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of an apocalyptic romance with a hot broody hero, a brave amnesia girl on a mission, talking down the Echo, finding sanctuary, lightning strikes, deciphering journal entries, spicy times that could save the world, dedicated friends, haunting castles, frightening creatures, dangerous battles, and a HEA that will make a lasting impact on your heart, then you will love Gabriel and Sarah romance and the thrilling conclusion to the Echo Power Trilogy! I always look forward to more from Anna Durand.

ETA: The audiobook is really good, too. The narrators do a great job with this crazy world. It really sounds like this is their own story.
I am so glad to have all of my questions about this series answered. Sarah and Gabriel are the last two pieces of the Echo that need to be in place to stop the craziness that Sefton Stainthorpe unleashed. There are several obstacles to that, though. One is that Sarah has amnesia and doesn't know how she can help. Two is that Gabriel has witnessed entirely too much of the apocolypse and doesn't trust anyone. They feel compelled to try anyway. I can't say much about what happens because everything is a spoiler. I will say that the chemistry between them is the hottest of all the couples in this world. It fits in with who they are in the Echo and the earth, and everything closes with a satisfying end.

And they all lived happily ever after; after a bit more chaos.

This is the third book in the Echo Power series and for this book to make sense, it would be best to have read the first two books. Although this is a stand-alone book, there is a lot of other knowledge that comes from reading the other two books.

Sarah has lost all her memories from before the apocalypse but retains some of the traits she had. So when a stranger approaches her on the beach, she isn’t sure how to handle him. But Gabriel knows he wants her. Even the people at the Sanctuary don’t know what to do with him.

But one thing is clear, Sarah and Gabriel need to return to the Echo. Where their attraction just grows and they learn they are a vital part of the system. But when Gabriel is taken hostage by the specter form of the man who started this all, will Sarah be able to save him?

Sarah and Gabriel get their happy ending in this stand-alone book in a series.

I really wanted to get into this book but Gabriel just rubbed me the wrong way, especially when he had sex with Sarah for the first time. I do feel he would have accepted a No if Sarah had said it, but it almost seems like he took her by force. This makes me wonder how much control they had over their own beings and how much the Echo controlled them. This book does wrap up the series very nicely in the last chapter but I would have loved to have seen where they all were a year from then and how everyone was adjusting back to a normal world.

I received an advanced review copy from the author and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I really like the way that Sarah and Gabriel, despite all that occurs to them both separately and together, are able to put aside fears, doubts and distrust to combine forces. Neither can overcome evil on their own. Neither can believe everything they see. But just possibly, together, they can end the apocalyse. Book 3 of the trilogy.
