Another sweet read in the Made in Savannah series.
Elvira is at it again causing quite a ruckus; however, this time Pete Taylor the pirate - who is Carlita’s fiancé and their wedding is in a week - is also partially to blame in his part.
Elvira has something going on across the alley from Carlita and Carlita wants to know what it’s about. She does know it has something to do with finding treasure, because it seems that’s always what Elvira is trying to do.
When an explosion in Elvira’s basement occurs right near Carlita; a van shows up every day at Elvira's at the same time with two suspicious characters named Jamie and Damon that are hired by Elvira; and then Pete is the main suspect in a murder of Trent Riggle, his former business partner, Carlita is bound and determined to investigate and find out what is going on.
This story involves tunnels under the city, shooting (of a weapon and a camera), Family and family, a shark, a leg cramp that leads to an important clue in a killing, and lost treasure.
It's always a crazy time when Elvira is involved, but it's also always a wonderful time when the Garlucci's are near.
The series continues… Made in Savannah Book 22 coming soon! No title or release date is known yet, but I’m sure devoted readers of the Savannah series will be watching for it!

I always cry at weddings!
Hope Callaghan has delivered another exciting adventure in book 21 of the Savannah Mystery Series! Carlita and Pete are finally getting married. All of her children and their families will be arriving soon as final plans are made for the nuptials! But with a neighbor like Elvira, you know there is going to be something to throw a wrench into the plans...and what a wrench it is!!
Always looking to make a buck, Elvira accepted an offer to give fellow treasure hunters access to her basement and the tunnels in the area. A week before the wedding Elvira's basement is the scene of an explosion that rattled the entire neighborhood. While searching the tunnels for damage, a former business partner of Pete's is found dead, not a causality of the explosion, but from a gunshot wound! All evidence is pointing at Pete and Carlita is determined to find the evidence to prove her soon to be husband is not the one who pulled the trigger!
This book is filled with page turning action, tender moments, smiles, laughs and an excellent recipe at the end! Enjoy!!!

It’s a pirates life for me. Yo ho!
Carlita and Pete are ready to tie the knot 🪢 But will things get in the way?
Remember those tunnels under the buildings? Yeah well., Elvira hasn’t . Turns out she actually had two other people connect with her to help her find the treasure.. If it’s there that is.! When those two people set an explosion and blew out Elvira’s window, the fire chief was called. Unfortunately, when searching the tunnel, they ended up by Pete’s tunnel. And they saw something on his side. It turns out it was a body and guess who’s the prime suspect? Pete, of course.
Can Pete get off the Hook 🪝? And get married on time? We’ll have to see.
I absolutely love these books. Been with them since the beginning. Well, all of Ms. Callaghan’s books. I like that they’re sweet and succinct. They’re full of joy 🤩 and happiness and lots of family. Not really having had family it makes me happy to read about it.

A Pirate’s Wife can be read as a stand-alone! BUT in this delightful cozy mystery Carlita brings her family and friends together (including Sharky from Cruise Ship Mysteries Siren of the Sea) for her Christmas wedding to Pirate Pete. A page turning mystery with an explosion, a murder, a miracle, and a wedding. This avid reader enjoys Hope Callaghan's writing style. She includes enough past information to remind the reader of previous stories and characters. The story flows with likable characters, twist and turn plot, red herrings to keep the reader guessing, and a believable conclusion. Both likeable and frustrating characters are included for your reading pleasure. YES! It is ALL about the MONEY!! Carlita’s neighbor and nemesis Elvira is the center of the action. Are life and gifts ever Elvira Proof? Looking forward to Carlita’s transition from mobster’s life to pirate’s wife. The recipe for scrumptious Creamy White Chicken Lasagna is include.

I have read and re-read this entire series so many times! I love visiting with the Garlucci's and their friends and this most recent installment was one I've been looking forward to. Carlita and Pete's wedding day is approaching and a new mystery is afoot. I love how the family always has each other's backs, and Elvira's antics are (as always) over the top! It was also fun to see Sharky Kiveski outside of the cruise ship series and collaborating with Elvira in her schemes. Hope's descriptions of the businesses in the square always leave me wishing I was there walking around, sampling the delicious food and finding treasures in the pawn shop or taking that Spooky Inns and Eats tour! This was another wonderful trip to Savannah with the Garlucci's and their friends.

As the police investigate, A dead body is found in Pete's tunnel! The police think Pete killed the man because of a business investment gone wrong! Sharky from the Cruise Ship has come to visit Elvira & she wants to search the tunnels more! Elvira begins to worry the men who claim to be FBI agents are not legitimate after she has granted them access to her back door & the basement. Never a dull moment with Elvira around & the possibility of treasure! Will Pete be arrested & Carlita & Pete's wedding/honeymoon be ruined?

Treasure hunting can be dangerous!k
I just love the characters in this series and look forward to each and every book! The Garlucci family, now becoming quite a clan, are gathering to see Carlita and her favorite pirate Pete get married. Elvira is as crazy as usual, this time looking for treasure and blowing out her basement window in the process. The is always good for some laughs! Sharkey is in town and Elvira’s date for the wedding. But when treasure hunting turns up a murdered guy, Pete is suspected. A rollicking good read with no room for boredom! I received a free ARC of this book and write this review voluntarily.

From Mafia Widow to Pirates Wife
The wedding of Carlitta Garlucci and Pirate Pete Taylor is finally within a week. But, thanks to Carlitta's neighbor and thorn in her side, Elvira Cobb, and her two shady "partners" Pete may be spending their wedding night and honeymoon in jail for murder! Elvira is her usual self and is joined by her friend from Siren of the Seas cruise ship, Snarky and Fin. Hope Callaghan has once again shown the side of true friendships and love that a parent has for his/her children and grandchildren, and merging families together. I absolutely love MS Callaghan's books and they are clean. Looking forward to the next Savannah Book!!!!!

A Pirates wife for me....she thought lovingly.
Another one of Hope's fantastic books in her 'Made in Savannah Cozy Mystery series. Carlita and Pete are ready to be married the day after Christmas. Unfortunately, there was a week to go before the wedding and as always in Carlita life something unusual, normally a dead body, has to show up. There are many people who could have done it but to make matters worse someone close to Carlita is being unfairly framed for the murder. You will WANT to read this book as with all Ms. Callaghan series it is a definite must read!!!!

Spies, Lies and a Wedding Plan!
A good read with plenty of twists in the middle of planning a Holiday wedding!
What more could offset a Holiday Wedding than finding a body in your underground tunnel?
As busy as everyone is during the holiday why not add a murder investigation in the middle of Family get together's.
Time is running short and so much to accomplish with many suspects to check out between work,parties and romance!
This book kept the suspense going until the very end.
I enjoyed reading could hardly put it down.

The Savannah series is totally awesome! You have the knack to bring the characters to life. Sometimes I can actually picture what they might look like. Elvira is a trip and she adds a lot to story line. Please continue this series, although all I want to do is read to see what happens next and nothing gets done around the house🤣

Great story!
Some spoiler alerts here...
I never get tired of Elvira's crazy antics in these books. Having Sharky along for the ride was great. I also like it when the whole family gets together. I like 'seeing ' Paulie, Gina, Vinnie, Brittany, and all the kids.
I enjoyed reading this mystery and following along as it was solved. Another tough one to Crack. I can't wait to hear what happens on the honeymoon!

Culinary Cozy suitable for all ages
The wedding is near and Elvira once again has created havoc. A explosion in her basement brings odd dealings to light and is somehow connected to a body at Pete's restaurant. The gang is working hard to prove Pete's innocence, but will it be soon enough. I highly recommend.

pirate Pete’s friends come to his rescue
I loved everything about this book it had surprises and suspense on who did it Elvira never let’s you down she’s always in trouble sparky is a hoot about food and pete is so romantic and Carlitos is a wonderful mother it just was a fabulous book.

With only days until the wedding, a body is found in a tunnel beneath Pete’s restaurant and he becomes the main suspect. As expected, Ms. Callaghan has delivered another great read! Expertly crafted with a lovable cast of characters and plenty of twists and turns, this one is a real treasure. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series.

Another good one from Ms Callaghan. She's never failed to entertain her audience ( me ). I have loved the Savannah series best of all, but they're all really well written. How does she come up with the ideas?
Unlike so many others out there, her books have few if any mistakes. She must have better proof readers!!

Great
I thoroughly enjoy reading all of Hope's books. It would be really hard to rate one above the other because I really get into them, but I have been to Savannah many times, usually stayed at the Hampton Inn historic district downtown, and I can truly visualize the surroundings as I read. Wonderful books I love them.

Never a dull moment. Carlotta and Mercedes were in tip top spy mode the 2 weeks before her Wedding
This book was so good I could not put it down. Carlotta. & Mercedes were going crazy the last 2 weeks before her and Pirate Pete's wedding. A Murder in Pete's tunnels, men pretending to be FBI working with Elvira & Sharkey Elvira"s boyfriend. And the whole family about to arive.
This book was so good I could not put it down. Carlotta. & Mercedes were going crazy the last 2 weeks before her and Pirate Pete's wedding. A Murder in Pete's tunnels, men pretending to be FBI working with Elvira & Sharkey Elvira"s boyfriend. And the whole family about to arive.

I have enjoyed every book in this series And I am looking forward to another. Have been to Savannah several time and the author describes Savannah as if I am there. If you are wanting a mystery with good food and humour you will enjoy this series

Excellent
WOW that was a close call for Pete! It was good that the whole family was able to be there for the wedding. Elvira is something else, but she is always right there when she is needed and of it will be on her terms. I love the Savannah mysterys!

Such a fun book
Another great book in this fun series! I love all the characters & how they interact with each other. The storyline was interesting, kept me guessing & I loved the ending.
