Christine Pattle writes thrillers. Countless hours spent watching every high-octane film available in her youth instilled a permanent love of edge-of-your-seat suspense. She soon moved from film to books, devouring all things thriller, crime and mystery.
When she’s not writing, she’s busy scaring herself silly riding big, feisty horses, or walking around the countryside dreaming up exciting new plots. As if that wasn't enough, she still manages to squeeze in the day job, trying to make small budgets do great things in the fight against homelessness.
I don't like Rose. Rose is the main character in this story and I simply do not like her.
Rose has neglected her widowed mother for years, even admitting that she would read a book rather than pay 100% attention to what her mother was saying during their telephone conversations. NOW she is remorseful. NOW she wishes she had visited more. NOW she wishes she had listened during their conversations instead of switching off. NOW when it is all too late.
I don't feel sorry for Rose and what is happening in her life one little bit. Karma has come calling.
I received a free copy of Rock Bottom through BookFunnel and have chosen to leave a review.
