Owen I’ve always wanted her, to protect her. Laya Kavanagh: sinful, seductive, passionate… and my best friend’s little sister. Unattainable in every sense. She deserves better than me. A manipulator, a monster. I’ll always protect her, even from myself. After pushing her as far away as humanly possible, my hell becomes a reality. She’s married, pregnant, and living her dream life. But what if she discovered it was all a fantasy, a charade masking the epitome of the devil in disguise? What if she needs me to protect her? I’ll claim her and her baby, make them both mine. Just how they always should have been. Because Laya is my everything, now I have to prove it.
Laya Owen James Stevens, a dark broody man covered in ink, was my everything. I’ve watched him from afar, drooled over him from a distance, and when I came of age, I handed myself to him on a silver platter. Only, my heart was broken, and I was tossed to the curb. I moved on with my life, creating a dream. But it’s a charade. Because beneath the surface of my new life lies an underbelly of darkness. When evil strikes, I run. Owen Stevens isn’t just my crush, he’s my soulmate. My protector. And when I need him the most, he claims me. But to what cost?
*This book contains tropes and content some may not be comfortable with. Please author website for further details.
Owen Stevens is Tate’s dark and broody best friend who Laya Kavanagh has always been in love with. Never believing himself good enough and fearful of losing his best friend, he vows to let Laya find happiness elsewhere. But when she does, it’s smoke in mirrors with nothing as it appears.
A brother’s best friend story from BJ? Say less. Okay, I can’t actually do that… Owen is a mashup of my favorite alphahole qualities: obsessive, dirty talking, and soft for his woman. Plus, there’s an age gap! Yes, please! Our girl Laya is sweet and a little broken, but a fighter all the same.
BJ never skimps on spice, but she also weaves suspense and storyline to assuage any guilt in case you end up reading one-handed.

Absolutely loved this story so much - probably my favorite one of the series! It's a really quick read with lots of action, a bit of suspense, and a whole lot of super hot smexy times. So many things that made me love this story:
✅ After his betrayal, she made a solid try to move on ✅ When he sees her baby bump, he says, "They're mine" ✅ He's been pining the WHOLE. FREAKING. TIME!
There's nothing I can't stand more than a heroine who pines away after a dude betrays her or tells her to get lost. But there's nothing I love more than a hero who will accept another man's baby as his own. Super sexy. Loved the whole freaking book. The teasers for Tate are the bomb-diggity.
Apparently, there is an OW scene in this book, but I don’t know the full details because I found out from a Facebook post where someone recommended it. She doesn’t want to spoil it since it’s going to be released soon😓
But based on the previous books by this author, I’m definitely not going to read this🌚🤷🏽♀️
Owen by BJ Alpha is a remarkable story about love, forgiveness and redemption. The power of love will always win, and this story delivers that with intense characters and wonderful moments delivered with the words and descriptions BJ crafted. I love all of BJ Alpha's story's but there is a special place in my heart for Owen and Laya, their love endured the chaos and mayhem that they went through, only to come out the other side stronger and together at last. It's a story that will forever be in my mind because it was wonderfully told by emphasizing the strong power of love and redemption. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a deeply moving and beautifully told love story.
Becky, you are brilliant! Owen blew me away. His darkness & obsessiveness gave me chills- the good ones, his dirty mouth had me squeezing my legs together, & his vulnerability had me almost teary eyed. Seeing him so vulnerable w/Laya will forever live in my head. It’s rare in dark romance that we see the guy literally on his knees, crying. So for writing Owen this way (& not making him a mansŁUț)- thank you Becky! The way he w/Romeo had my heart swooning, he was the best. There was even a part of me that liked Carlos. Yes, what he did wasn’t good, but I feel he truly tried w/Laya & he loved her & Romero. What happened to him, & the letter he wrote, it had me a little sad. My heart broke a little at his last words he said to her. I’m left w/so many questions & theories about Reece’s book, & also Reed! I can’t wait for it all! This book had it ALL- 🩸,🥛, 🔫play, betrayal, second chances, heartbreak, some VERY HOT & DIRTY scenes (& I mean DIRTY) & some really funny moments between the guys! I enjoy Tate’s humor & Reed’s determination to never have kids! I see this man falling HARD. One thing that has me the most excited for is Stone. I want to know more about the Carrera family!!
Laya has loved her brothers best friend as long as she could remember … she gives him her first kiss 💋 wants to give him all of her firsts … heartbreak and a promise prevent them from being together at first BUT Owen isn’t having that !!! That’s is his woman , it’s his time to claim her and he will do whatever it takes to make it happen !!!! :) possessive ,obsessive , morally gray MMC does anything and everything to ensure that at the end of the day she is right where she belongs …. NEXT TO HIM 👏🏾 ALSO THAT CLIFFHANGER 🥵
Owen is HEAVY on the “MINE” & “my wife “ , goes celibate for years waiting for the love of his life & has a MASSIVE bl00d & breeding kink oh and let’s not forget the pacifier kink 🥵 THE SPICE was super good , IN classic BJ ALPHA style 👏🏾
“You stepped into my darkness Laya, and now all I see is you, my light”
Where do I even begin!!!!
I’ve been on BJ Alphas ARC team for a while and when I say this is hands down my favorite book she has ever written, I mean it!!
You can feel the longing and love Laya and Owen have for each other on page freaking one!!!
Ups and downs happen but when Owen says she belongs to him no matter what, he means that. He was her first everything but when he decides to listen to others instead of going after what he truly wants, he winds up losing the one thing he’s ever loved. Laya. But the moment she barges in and tells the family she’s married and expecting, all bets are off. Where there’s a will there’s a way. And by the stars, Owen will get what he wants one way or another.
Laya has been a complete joy to watch turn into the character she is at the end of the book. When one door closes another door opens. Or in this case, a cage is locked with the key thrown away until one fateful night. When her husband is ☠️ for getting into things he had no business to, she has no where else to run. Or so she thought, until she finds herself in the arms of Owen once more.
Watching the MCs banter back and forth about anything and everything, to finding there place in their crazy world was fan-freaking-tastic. And the mouth on Owen🥵🥵🥵 I needed more!!! I still do!! I can’t wait to see what else comes from this series because I once again am hooked!!!!!!
5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3🌶️🌶️🌶️ BJ Alpha does it AGAIN! Brothers best friend ✅ Depraved ✅ Possessive ✅ Taboo ✅ All of the spice and all of the story, when will she write a book that flops? Hopefully never! I honestly feel the books go from strength to strength and Owen has now taken my top spot in my BJ Alpha book boyfriend lineup! I loved this storyline and genuinely could feel the need and wanting from each POV. I now need Reed’s story like I need air to breathe though as we are already led into this so well from Owen!
Rating: 5⭐️ Would Recommend: Hell yeah! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
My Review: Good God! Owen's obsessive and possessive nature is just off the charts! 🔥
This book was so good. I am not usually into second-chance romance, but this was written so perfectly that I can't help but love it.
During the prologue, I did not like Owen, especially after reading Laya's POV. But as the story unfolded, I ended up becoming Owen's #1 fan. The love and devotion between them seriously pull at the heartstrings. 💕 💖
I don't want to spoil it, but this story has everything - spice, suspense, action, obsession, and spice (it's worth repeating, guys) 😜🌶️
What I love about BJ Alpha’s writing is how she weaves all the characters in her universe (can we start calling it the Alpha-verse? 😉). Plus, there are so many fun little easter eggs tied to other stories 🔍
I don't know whose book is next, but I cannot wait to read more! 📚
Tropes: Age gap Virgin h Second chance (kind-of) Mafia (kind-of) Breeding kink OM drama
Well, well, well. Hmm... BJA's books have often been recommended for their absolute spice factor and I always wanted to try one. After much dilly-dallying, I finally decided to try this one based on the fact that there is a supposed angsty betrayal scene in it. Verdict? I am putting this book and probably this author in my 'Not For Me' box.
On the plus side, there were funny kinks galore that made me giggle by their absolute OTT-ness (). But on the negative side, the numerous sex scenes never came across as even remotely hot. I was not repelled by them, but I was bothered by the lack of feels or real chemistry. Just outrageous, hilarious kinky moves that surprised me but left me yawny by the end.
On the plus side, I appreciated that the H was so ready so claim the h's child with OM and that he remained celibate ever since he rejected her. However, on the negative side, their 'romance' felt hollow and skin deep, with little to none character buildup. They were perfect for each other though, what with their one dimensional personalities that were obsessed with each other. On another note, it was so gross that he would change the way the baby was called and that she went happily with it within seconds; in the same vein, her deciding to never communicate the OM's last thoughts to his son in the letter was also gross - though the OM was no angel, he did not deserve that 'eradication' treatment.
The biggest stumbling block of the book, I think, was the prose style. All the sentences were written in a hyper manner that was aimed to give the appearance of sexy intensity but which to the dispassionate eye was just a bunch of empty purple prose. I found it very difficult to read and it leaden my reading pace. Also, the whole world building was ultra-flimsy and many times illogical (e.g.).
I would probably have rated a bit higher if the book owned up to be in the smut category as the kinks here could have given Jessa Kane a run for her money 😆.

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read, loved this book 5🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ spicier than spicy wowww
This is the third book in the series this one follows Owen and Laya.
Layla has been besotted with him her whole life.. but he’s off limits and it’s a line not to be crossed. Owen is Laya brothers best friend
That doesn’t stop her fantasising about him and wishing all her first were with him Her wish comes true on her 18th birthday but they are both left heartbroken and Laya moves away and starts a new life where she meets Carlos on her 21st birthday. He becomes her world and they marry and have a baby together
Laya is in a bubble she has the family she’s always wanted but there’s a storm brewing and things turn very dark.
She ends up back in the arms of those who she trusts the most…. Owen
The spice in this book is next level If you love an Alpha male with a mouth that will make you blush Owen is your next read
BJ Alpha knows how to keep you wanting more and this book is it. This ride is one you want to be on. Twists turns and the scenes between these two are 🥵🥵🥵🥵
Check the triggers but if your like me and don’t mind a shopping list of triggers then check them first and dive in
How many interruptions could I possibly have had before starting “Owen”? It was like the universe was working against me, but ultimately, it was so well worth it.
BJ Alpha brings it on from the beginning in “Owen.” I was immediately wowed. I got angry, and I was even tearful. That all happened 10% into the story.
The men of Storm Enterprises are some freaky deakies, but Owen is the best kind. BJ Alpha knows how to incorporate all the shminky shminks into an exciting plot filled with drama, action, heightened emotions, and some groveling to boot.
Owen is best friends with Tate, and Laya is Tate’s younger sister who has been off limits. Intriguing, yes? They have a tumultuous relationship that spans for a while with misunderstandings galore, but Tate wants a second chance and will do anything and everything to win Laya back. I loved how Owen’s character developed as the story swiftly flowed, as it was a shorter read. Familiar characters made appearances, which is always appreciated. And the BJ Alpha’s ending always keeps me wanting more.
Owen is the 3rd book in the Storm Enterprises series and wow, what an emotional rollercoaster this one was!
I couldn't put it down. I absolutely loved Owen. His obsession with Laya was so over the top but perfect. And I loved Laya - and I was so glad she didn't fight Owen on picking up the pieces with him again. Their dynamic was great - she knew how to push him just right. And Owen claiming little Romeo as his own just melted my heart.
And the spice? I don't even know where to start but in true BJ Alpha fashion, those scenes left me sweating.
There were a few twists and turns that I didn't see coming too! Always appreciate a good plot twist.
That ending has me so exciting for Reed's book. Can't wait to see what is going to happen next for this group of friends!
Owen and Laya 🖤 This is book three of the Storm Enterprise series. Check the trigger warnings before reading!! They are heavy. Laya has always been in love with Owen. After breaking her heart on her 18th birthday, Laya tries to move on. She gets married and has a baby with a man who keeps so many secrets from her. Owen had only broke her heart thinking he was doing what was best for her. He definitely makes up for it! The way this man makes it his mission to get her back! Not just her but “his family”. These two are hot 🥵🥵 together. I think I discovered a few new kinks along the way 🫠
🖤Brother’s best friend 🖤 Possessive MMC 🖤Second chance
This one hit the gas outta the gate and never let up!! And a trope list longer than a CVS receipt (check your trigger warnings)! At the core though was a love story, full of heartbreak and redemption.
Laya has been in love with her brother’s best friend her whole life. But circumstances separate them and she moves on, but never loses her love for him. And eventually she needs him. She needs his protection and his safety and she craves his control.
Owen might be a “touch” OTTJP of Laya but underneath he loves her. He wants her and he needs to protect her, and finally make her his.
I devoured this book in one day. The spice was spicy🥵. Definitely check those trigger warnings people! Nothing triggering for me, but I did get the ick few things. But hey one man's ick is another man's kink. I wish the ending was a tad bit longer, so I could see how laya and Owen's relationship progressed; guess I will have to read Reed's story to see if there will be snippets. On darn! (Sarcastically 😉) I really enjoyed the writing style. its flow made the story just zip along, and I didn't want to set it down.

Spicy! Emotional! Love! Danger! BJ has done it again with another amazing book! I loved reading Laya and Owen’s relationship through the years. They faced obstacles, mainly Owen being a Jerk and not getting out of his head and realizing he is the perfect person for Laya. In the end love wins!
This was so good! I’m pretty sure this is BJ’s best book yet to be honest. Not only did this book have a lot of my fav tropes but I was obsessed with the characters. I couldn’t get enough of Laya and how she didn’t back down at all. She had no issues going after what she wanted and making Owen grovel for the times he hurt her. And I loved Owen and his love for Laya and how he owned up to his mistakes while still taking what he wanted. I loved these two so much!
I my heart broke for Laya. She has been in love with Owen for ever and he has constantly broke her heart or rejected her. I thought he had come to his senses on her birthday but that was so heart destroying. She moved on when her heart wasn't ready but her mind told her to. Owen grew on me as i got further into the book he wanted to protect Laya and Romeo (Romero) he was the perfect man he should have been for her from the start. Then he destroyed her all over again but again worked to prove he is the man she deserves. The book was a rollercoster of ups and downs and twists and turns but this was a great addition to the STORM series and Laya gor her HEA
Loved this so much!!! Two things I love about BJ’s books? They are all easy to read and they all have tons of naughty scenes!
This book is about Owen and Laya. She’s been in love with him since she was a little girl and he has always had a thing for her too but stayed away; seeing as he’s 10 years older and her brothers best friend. She has her first kiss with him at age 17 and her first “time” with him at 18. But then he does a 180 and lets her go, when she thought they would finally be together. But she moves on with her life.
I love how protective Owen was and how deeply rooted their feelings were for each other. There is a lot of good suspense and action and I really loved both characters. Can’t wait for Reed’s story next!
Owen is book 3 in the Storm enterprise series ~ if you loved Shaw & Tate then you’re going to devour Owen, he’s possessive, dominant with a dirty mouth. He’s completely swoon worthy.
This book had everything that kept me completely hooked from start to finish
Laya is a strong woman, she knows exactly what she wants & she’s not afraid to pursue it, she’s fierce & determined. I loved her. She has always had a teenage crush on her brother’s best friend Owen. You can literally feel the chemistry & connection they have jumping off the pages.
Owen has a darkness to him, he’s had a very different upbringing to his friends, he’s seen experienced things no little boy should. He’s always protected Laya & isn’t immune to her beauty, he’s always wanted her, he just doesn’t want to want her ~ He believes he’s not worthy of her. He’s tried to resist her but the thought of loosing his best friend Tate & his found family is too painful so he pushes her away.
The consequences of doing so will have repercussions, changing both of their lives forever. Owen vows to destroy anyone who hurts Laya, he’s determined to get her back.
Owen is not just a romance; it is a story about facing your past, seeking redemption, and finding love against all odds.
You know when you start a book and you just know it's going to be a doozie ~ I knew straight away. First few pages in and I was hooked.
It is every single thing that grips. The $€x. The tension. . The angst. The secrets & suspense. And oh my God, the straight fire that are these two.
B.J Alpha delivers a tale that is both dark & thrilling, with characters that readers will root for from beginning to end.
I had the honour of reading this as an arc, and loved every second of it
Owen is the head of security for STORM Enterprises, and is also Tate’s best friend. Laya is Tate’s sister and has loved Owen for years. Owen has had feeling for Laya for years but has always resisted until now
The spend a hot minute together on her 18th Birthday, but Owen realises that he’s not good for her, and pushes her away, breaking both of their hearts in the process Laya goes off to college. On her 21st Birthday, she goes out with her friend from college and meets Carlos. He’s powerful and gives her the security that she wants, but there’s a dark side to him that she doesn’t see yet and when she does, things take a dark turn, but by that point she’s married to him and has a baby, Romero
Things come to a head and Owen comes to the rescue, taking both Laya and Romero in. He’s loved her since she left and always knew that they would end up together, and that is exactly what he intends to do now.
Their relationship starts very quickly and their love for each other burns hot, but it doesn’t run smoothly and there are dangers lurking.
The storyline and plot twists are incredible, and the spice is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I would recommend this book to anyone that loves dark romance and very high spice books
Wow, I honestly thought that not another dark, morally grey man could compete with my favourite BJ Alpha character, and those who know me well, know who it is, but Owen, Owen is the perfectly broken, scarred, damaged morally grey man. He has loved Laya forever, and just when he had her in his arms, he let her go. Laya, she loved Owen her whole life, and finally, finally she had him in her arms, she had already given him her heart, but then Owen walked away, and got engaged to another woman. Laya’s whole world cracked open, and she decided it was time to move on, and she gave her body to another man, a man who she thought would heal her broken heart. Owen knew he made the biggest mistake of his life when he let Laya go and she was married and pregnant with another man, she was supposed to married to him, pregnant with his baby!! Owen knew what he had to do, and he would stop at nothing to make that baby his and Laya his wife, even if he had to chain her to his bed!! Owen is the next installment of the STORM Enterprises series by BJ Alpha, and it is magnificent! Twists and turns, angst, heartbreak, I felt the pain and anguish of the characters, and of course, the very, very hot spice in the book. Before jumping in, check your triggers, but you will not be disappointed!!!!
What an absolutely heart rendering and beautiful story. Owen has now become by favourite man in BJ Alpha’s world.
This beautiful story pulled me in from the very beginning and held me a willing prisoner to the very end.
The emotions and depth within Owen and Layla’s story was so beautiful. The pain and heartache to real and relatable.
Watching the series of events that kept them apart play out broke my heart and kept me on the edge of my seat.
Owen is a beautiful character. He’s, without a doubt, a dominant alpha male but he’s also a man so deeply in love, his heart is so bruised from the obstacles in his way to his HEA. I just wanted to storm in and out everyone straight, clearing the path for him to make his move.
Laya is a wounded character. Her heart leading her, and her subsequent pain allowing for misunderstandings that change the course of her life.
Watching them traverse the tumultuous path was as compelling as it was heart rendering.
I was on edge through this spellbinding read, their pain became my pain. But not once would I have stoped reading. Absolutely phenomenal read! So many stars it’s impossible to count.
Owen is book 3 in the Storm series and it’s one of my favorite troupes: Best. Friends. Sibling *devil smile*. Laya has had a crush on her older brothers best friend Owen since she was young. With a 10 year age gap, Owen has always wanted Laya but she was off limits. Completely. When she turns 18, they act on their feelings for one night. Things go badly and hearts are broken. Four years later, it gets wild. Telenovela style wild. Owen. Lord this man. Completely obsessed and determined to get and keep his woman. He’s intense, committed, kind of psychotic, and so freaking sexy. Laya is officially one of my favorite BJ characters. She’s self assured and knows exactly what she wants. She never wavered and stood her ground. She’s passionate and loves her family. I adores her immediately. Their story was unconventional but also deeply emotional. While I think Tate and Shaw still have my heart, Owen and Laya absolutely have a solid place in this series. I cannot wait to see them in Reed’s book. Also I would pay anything for Mase’s book. I’m so into him already. Side note: the BJ-multi verse was so involved in this book. It was really fun to see names and stories all interconnect.
BJ Alpha took me on an emotional rollercoaster with Owen and Laya's story. Laya has loved her brother's best friend since she was young. He destroys her heart on her 18th birthday, forcing her to move on. The tr@umå that Laya experiences afterwards left my heart in shreds.
Owen Stevens is the definition of touch her and ☠️ vibes. He has so much darkness in him that needs to be released. Their chemistry and bond is off the charts and BJ Alpha absolutely brought the spice! Holy sh!t is this book spicy 🥵. I would not read it in public unless you have a change of underwear.
The STORM Enterprises series might be my favorite series by BJ (however, it's so hard to pick a fav) and I was so glad to finally delve into the mind of Owen. It left me on edge needing to know about Reed and what's worse...
1000% recommend! 5 stars! And sooooo many amazing tropes and kïnks. There truly is something for everyone who enjoys dark romance with this book.

“Get used to it, baby girl. I’m going to own your 🍑in a few hours, and if I want to make you my c*m sl*t, I will.” 🥵
When BJ Alpha tells you this will be a hot as f*ck ride, you just buckle up and take it like a good girl. 🤭
And if you want a powerful man, ready to torch down the world & unalive anyone who dares stand in his way to own you? This is just the perfect book boyfriend to have!
Laya’s sass & determination gave him a run for his money though, so don’t worry, he won’t have it easy.
The spice hits hard & then it all takes a turn …. 🤫
But, he has been pining secretly, and I’m so here for it! I couldn’t put this book down, it straight up dragged me from the pits of a slump and skyrocketed me back in!
Owen is an over the top, possessive/jealous man, and if you think you can say no? You haven’t been paying attention. 🤤
I have been struggling lately with contemporary romance and I was unsure how I was going to feel going into this..but this is exactly what I needed. I will say this is my favorite so far among the STORM series! Owen was Layla’s first in everything. She was her brothers best friend and everyone knew she had a thing for him. When he push comes to shove he ends up pushing her away and it leads to her marrying another man and ending up pregnant with his baby. Now Owen will do anyhting to get her back with him like she was always meant to be.
Definitely check the author notes for this one. There might be some content you might not be comfortable with. I was hesitant at first but thought that BJ Alpha played it very very well. I really liked how she handled the whole FMC married another man aspect to move on with her life. I would have thought that this would have made me annoyed as a reader but I really loved it actually. I loved how she played that character out as well. There were tons of spicy scenes throughout the book which i very much appreciated becuase BJ writes great spice! The next book is teased in the epilogue so I’m actually really excited to see what’s next!
