New York Times Bestselling author, Leslie Kelly writes sexy romances and dark romantic thrillers. A four-time RWA RITA Award nominee, eleven-time Romantic Times Award nominee and 2006 RT Award winner, Leslie has become known for her delightful characters, sparkling dialogue, and outrageous humor in her romances, and for the dark grittiness of her thrillers. Since the publication of her first book in 1999, Leslie has gone on to pen more than forty sassy, sexy romances for Harlequin Temptation, Blaze, and HQN.

In 2009, Leslie began tapping into her love for dark suspense by penning several books under the pseudonym Leslie Parrish. The Black CATs and Extrasensory Agents series quickly put Leslie on the must-read list of romantic-suspense fans.

Tired of writing under various names, Leslie decided to go into her next genre--futuristic thrillers with a suspense element--under her real name. She released her dark, gritty Veronica Sloan books, and reissued the Black CATs series, as Leslie A. Kelly.

Who knew Harlequin could be so hot?

If you love a quick, fun read with great characters and lots of sexy games, check this one out. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Reese Campbell and Amanda Bauer meet when Reese takes a charter flight to a Halloween business party and Amanda is the pilot. Dressed up for the Halloween flight in a risqué little stewardess costume, she had Reese’s immediate and undivided attention. They both felt the instant sexual attraction and decided to act on it, indulging in one night of passion, knowing that they’d never see each other again because Reese lived in Pennsylvania and Amanda in Ohio, an hour’s plane commute apart. However, the night was so incredible that they found themselves getting together whenever they could manage it.

It wasn’t long before Reese felt more than just a physical attraction to Amanda. He saw something special in her and wanted to at least make an attempt at a relationship that consisted of more than just sex – he wanted to actually have meaningful conversations and get to know her better. Amanda wanted no part of that. Having been label all sorts of unflattering things by her ex-boyfriends, Amanda had sworn off anything even remotely resembling commitment. But Reese, with his charming, sexy ways sets out to do whatever he has to in order to get her to take a chance on a relationship that might lead to something more permanent.

While I’m not a huge fan of sex outside of a relationship just for the sake of “getting off,” this story worked for me because it didn’t take long to see that there was definitely something more going on between them, something deeper, even though Amanda didn’t want to admit it.

This was a surprisingly hot, fun story with very little angst but loads of sexual escapades.

I love Ms. Kelly's books! They're usually predictable but they are also fun, sexy stories that always make me laugh, feel good and leave me wanting more. Play With Me was no exception.

Reese is an overrun brewery owner who has taken over the family business and the business of being head of the family upon his father's death two years ago. He use to be fun and wild, but now is all work and no play because he is pulled in so many directions. Reese's crazy Aunt tells him he is bored and should be do something wild and fun again.

Amanda is a charter service pilot who's biggest fear is relationships. She sucks at them, always being the one who leaves and leaving a trail of broken hearts behind her. She is not close to her family at all as they both have different views on behavior. She's open, fun, loves life and all it has to offer...they are not...with exception to her Uncle.

Amanda is suppose to fly a few fun senior ladies to a Halloween party that she is asked as a guest to by one of her favorite regulars. Amanda is waiting for them dressed as a 70's airline stewardess complete with vest, hotpants and go-go boots, when her flight is canceled due to illness. Never fear there is a last minute flight that has been booked for Reese.

I don't want to tell you the whole story, but suffice it to say a one-night stand turns into a holiday romance. Every holiday these two crazy kids get together to play. Amanda likes to play, especially with Reese, but only on holidays and only if they don't discuss anything personal. Reese loves the arrangement, but he really wants to also get to know Amanda better and see where the relationship might go. Hmmm, who will win out. I'm sure you don't have to the read the book to figure that out, but what would be the fun in that?

It was kind of bland and I found myself skimming through most of the pages, looking for something special to hold on to.

Day 1,

Having recently completed a tome concerning Librarians, reading habits, and helping patrons find books they enjoy, and also having recently become a divorced man, I decided it was time to take a chance and delve into a realm of literature I have never before experienced: the Romance novel.
What follows shall be my reviews and subsequent reviews as I complete the next 20 novels purchased for $20 American at a paperback retail establishment in East Texas

Plat with Me:
This be dirty...yo. While the plot contains many delightful episodes, and the characterization was satisfactory, and the diction was functional with some key and quite an impressive word choices, I found overall...that I liked this book. It was a fun enjoyable read that was largely a string of sex scenes strung together, nevertheless, the rope binding these erotic moments together was a believable and heartwarming story.

I was quite satisfied, as were the characters apparently, and look forward to my next foray into the realm of Harlequin Blaze fiction. Stay tuned for my vext report on: "Yule Be Mine" by Jennifer LaBrecque.

A daring and passion-riddled, but also achingly sweet story of sexgames and heartache.

Chronique complète ---> http://chroniqueslivres.canalblog.com...

A bland romantic read
2 stars

Commitment phobic pilot Amanda Bauer's terrible track record with men has made her wary of traditional relationships. But when she meets hunky business owner Reese Campbell, it's not a traditional relationship that she has in mind - it's just plenty of adventurous sex.

After their first steamy encounter, they arrange to meet up every couple of months for fantasy fuelled sex. But how long will they both be happy with their no strings relationship and what will the pair do when they realise that it's not just lust that's driving them towards each other?

I adore Leslie Kelly's writing and there has never been a book of hers that I wasn't engrossed in from the first page. Until now. It seems like a betrayal to say that this book fell completely flat for me.

While Reese and Amanda were both good enough characters, neither had much depth or were overly exciting. Amanda especially was a disappointment as, to me, she was completely un-relatable and at times, un-likeable. The pair did have chemistry but it was definitely more one night stand chemistry than of the happily ever after sort.

At times the attempts at sexiness sounded more like the script of a really bad, and predictable porno. There were the required number of sex scenes but with the lack of emotion they came across as bland and perfunctory. A lot of the sex was based on role play fantasies: sex with a stranger, phone sex, cop and prisoner etc. It all still did very little for me, I'm afraid.

This book just didn't capture me and for that I can only give it 2 stars. I'll still look out for books by Leslie Kelly I just don't think that this one shows off her talent to any great length.

This was a fun read -- not deep and complicated, but interesting in that the heroine was a person who had come from a very cold, unfeeling family, had rebelled repeatedly during her growing up years, and was gun shy of close relationships because of past amorous disasters. Fun to see how a caring and sensitive man brought her out of her negative context.

A private pilot hooks up with a passenger one sexy Halloween night, kicking off a meet-me-in-some-random-city affair with a lot of role playing--some of which eventually ends up on YouTube. This was better than it sounds.

Cute story pretty much summed up on the back of the book adding in lots of steamy sex. Pilot Amanda meets businessman Reese and they get together on holidays for wild sex. It seemed like for every page of dialog or action there were two pages analyzing it and I skimmed a lot.

Better than expected. The couple starts out as a hot hook-up. They are very into role-playing so the story is a bit on the erotic side, then it develops into a relationship. Well done, I actually felt their feelings for each other developed into a deep and caring relationship.
