In the late Bronze Age, the fourteenth century B.C., an Amazon nymph dares steal forbidden fruit from the gods. But Harmonia Ambrosia’s crime is not only the taste of a pomegranate, her offense is far worse when seized within enemy lands.
Greek gods descend from Mount Olympus. Demeter and her daughter Persephone, also known as Cora, look down upon this rebel. But not Hades. Hades becomes enamored with her.
With enchanted gifts of war from her lover and champion god Hades, Harmonia fights the dwarfs of Napea and the Hinterland tribes of man. Soon she and her daughter, the princess Nefertiti, lead an Amazon army so far south it even threatens the Pharaoh Amenhotep III of Egypt. But as total conquest lies finally within her grasp, only by sacrifice to gods she loathes can there be any hope of reclaiming peace with man.
Harmonia is an epic Greek and Egyptian mythical fantasy prequel to Cora: Rise of the Fallen Goddess, Book I, in the Azure Series.

Wow, can they get any better??!! This is a full novel length "prequel" to The Azure series, & as in the series combines the author's new versions & retelling of Greek, Egyptian & a little bit of Atlantis myths. I have no background in the Egyptian myths, & haven't read the Greek thoroughly in 50+ years, so I'm unsure how much is a reimagining & how much is totally the author's ideas.
It's rare these days to get this combination of intelligence & readability. I definitely connect with the author's characters. The main characters in this book are Harmonia, her daughter Nefertiti, & Hades; + lots of familiar names from ancient literature. Harmonia is Queen of the Amazon Warriors (all female & a tremendous fighting force).
Totally sucked me in to the world & story! I've never read a book from this author that was less than excellent, & this is one of the best.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Harmonia is a full-length novel that serves as a "prequel" to The Azure series. This is another one of this versatile author's new versions and retelling of Greek, Egyptian and Atlantis mythology. The writing is, as always, imaginative and unique with characters that fairly leap off of the page. Recognizable names pop up in this reimagination with Harmonia, her daughter Nefertiti, Hades and other names from ancient literature. I truly enjoy the world that we visit in Harmonia.
The Azure series is incredible and brimming with fantasy and Greek mythology. The world building is fantastical and draws you in and this prequel does the same. Thrilling, intriguing, well paced, action packed , adventure filled and so exciting as we join the journey and this incredible world sucked me from start to finish.
