Never fall for the golden boy... especially when he's the untouchable star quarterback deeper in the closet than your great aunt's fur coat!
Milo Jensen ---
A tech whiz from the humblest of beginnings, I thought Stanford would drown me in codes and algorithms. But instead, I'm drowning in the deep blue of Brady Mitchell's eyes. Captain of the football team, heir to a fortune, he's a walking fantasy with a secret that could bring his perfect world crashing undiagnosed dyslexia.
Our worlds collide in a swirl of late-night study sessions and charged glances. Every innocent touch sends shivers down my spine, and every shared secret binds us closer. But Brady's already taken, and his battles with identity turn our fiery attraction into a tantalizing taboo.
As I draw him into my world of vintage gaming and classic rock, he shows me a life of luxury and sin. A secluded mansion becomes our escape, a place where social norms fade, and raw passion takes over.
But reality crashes in, breaking our secret haven. With Brady's future at stake and a legacy threatening to pull him back into a life he doesn't want, can our love survive? Can I pull him into the light? Can Brady find the strength to embrace his truth and the love he didn't know he craved?
It's a game of heart and soul, where the risks are high, but the rewards... they might just be everything we've ever wanted.
Loved this sweet read! Who doesn't love a jock/nerd pairing? :) Milo is the sweet, nerdy tutor and Brady is the frat boy, star quarterback with the beautiful girlfriend. Their connection is undeniable though. St. Clare's writing is just beautiful, and paints a gorgeous picture with words at all times - the emotions of the boys, the scenery, just loved it. Of course there was a proper level of angst and redemption. Overall a beautifully written story!
Thank you to Chase for this ARC in exchange for my spoiler free honest thoughts.
The 'Nerds' get a sweet deal when they move into the frat house to be tutors for the brothers. But as Brady says throughout Fraternal Figures, it's "Complicated".
Milo and Brady get paired together and they sizzle from the beginning. Milo even moves out of his comfort zone and attends a football game. Brady sits Milo next to his girlfriend...
Ah, romance in college, it can be so sweet or so painful when you're so young. This tale proves that, the jock and the nerd, drawn to each other but have to stay hidden and that can be one heck of a strain, especially with a fake girlfriend involved as well. All those points are why I hate and yet love this trope. This is my second story with this author, nice writing, touching plots, a really nice read although I found the hospital shenanigans a teensy bit over the top, but it was acute addition.
This story is such a heartfelt and beautifully told story. Milo’s awkward charm makes him so relatable, and Brady’s struggles with who he really is hit you right in the feels. Their connection is equal parts sweet and sizzling, with moments that make you smile and others that break your heart. The writing pulls you in with its emotional depth and vivid details, making it impossible to put down. It’s not just a romance—it’s a story about love, growth, and finding the courage to be yourself.
"Sometimes, you need to lose yourself to find yourself again."
This is a quick and steamy MM romance. If you love a jock x nerd trope, but need a bit of angst this book is for you! Brady and Milo have sizzling chemistry from the moment they meet, despite the fact Brady has a girlfriend. Every book I've read from Chase St. Clare just sucks me in, and I just can't help but fall in love with his characters as they fall in love with each other.
"Sometimes, you just need to lose yourself to find yourself again."
Fraternal Figures is my first read of the year. It's quick and steamy with a splash of angst. I loved it!
Sweet, nerdy Milo! I found myself wanting to slap Brady on your behalf. Fortunately, Brady, the closeted jock, got his sh*t together and redeemed himself in the end. I just wanted to hug these boys!
This was a great sports romance for me. I loved the friends to lovers, loved all the emotions that were involved and kept me going. This was really special and I’d recommend to others
This was a quick read with a touching plot chocked full of varied emotion. It was jock/nerd mm college romance, sort of strangers to fast friends to lovers.
Milo and his friends move into the fraternity house in exchange for tutoring which is where he meets star quarterback Brady. It doesn’t take long for things between them to heat up but with Brady’s future and the fact he has a girlfriend keeps them from truly exploring this thing developing between them.
💕 This story of Milo and Brady both pulls at your heartstrings and makes you angry at the same time. I loved their bond, but at the same time, wanted to (figuratively) smack them up the side of the head. And I loved that. I loved the push and pull, the ups and downs, the ultimate drama that ensued.
Sometimes great stories arise from characters making bad decisions. Characters afraid to disturb the status quo, yet ultimately don’t have the choice because in the end, the heart always wins.
Sometimes you want to hide so you don’t have to make the tough choice. The choice you know you must make but can’t seem to. Sometimes you just want to live in the moment. Let things be. But in doing so, not only will you hurt everyone around you, but you will also lose yourself in the process.
This story will take you on metaphorical journey through winding streets and uphill climbs. Of calm serene waters to roaring rapids. All you must do is hang on and enjoy the ride.
