The Corpse Conspiracy

Rate this book
Lucas and Young Dave arrive at Detective Inspector Robert Durham's home to decorate the interior and can't believe they have the right address. Since when could DI's afford swanky modern properties even millionaires dream of?

When the scruffy DI's wife and her twin sister make an appearance, they're even more confounded, as the haggard inspector always seemed like a disheveled bachelor, not someone with an adoring and beautiful wife who seemingly doted on him.

With the shock over, the duo head back to the van to grab their brushes and tool bags, geared up for a large decorating job that promises to be a good earner. With Harlow, the super-smart red squirrel tagging along, they're keen to get started—after a morning cuppa, of course—but even working for a respected member of the local police force seemingly isn't enough to stop the team becoming involved in yet another murder mystery.

Their joy soon turns to horror when they open the front door and find DI Durham hovering over the body of one of the twins with a knife in his hand. Could he really have killed his wife or sister-in-law, or is there more to this than the obvious?

Lucas, with his newfound magical mojo, and Harlow, the squirrel savant, not to mention Young Dave's ability for stating the blindingly obvious, will be stretched to the maximum as they try to put together the pieces of what seems to be a corpse conspiracy of epic proportions.

Will they manage to clear their friend's name, or did the DI really commit murder and expect to get away with it?

Prepare for a spellbinding mix of magic, mystery, and pure mayhem as our group of oddball sleuths dive headfirst into another hair-raising adventure. This time their brush with magic and murder might be a total whitewash!

A great cozy mystery to escape from real life. Once again Lucas' and friends plunge in to help a friend seemingly framed for murder. Good twist at the end. Of course Lucas is ably assisted by the world's most adorable squirrel, Harlow.
