A collection of poems, recipes, and story vignettes from the life of a woman deep in the season of mothering young children while also navigating the many challenges of travel and cross-cultural living.

Such a refreshing, heartening read. Hannah so well captures the tender, compassionate way God walks with His own though the highs and lows of daily, crazy life. Her writing tone is sincere, laced with gentle humor and a sweet simplicity.

Here is a taste:

A broken cup,
A leaking jar,
That’s me—in awe
Of Who You Are.

You pick me up.
(Is that a smile?)
“These cracks?” You say
“Now that’s My Style.”

You hold me close,
You fill me up
I could forget
I’m a broken cup

Until I feel
That leaky crack.
Ashamed, tears slide
Right down my back

But when I look
Upon your face
I see Your joy—
This must be grace!

Your style still makes
Me feel quite awed.
To delight in me,
You must be God.

(Chapter 18 got just a little awkward theologically, so I was glad she added a clarifying note at the end of that one! 😊)

I love this book and it’s so relatable as a mom living overseas! It had me chuckling out loud a few times and there’s very few books that I do that. Well done, Hannah!
