I began my writing journey in 2016 after suffering a breakdown and having major time off work to recover.

I'm a huge fantasy lover and began my journey as an author writing The Wrath of Raghnall which I later shortened to Raghnall's Wrath (new adult fantasy.)

After the pandemic, I began writing contemporary Rom-Com as I felt like I needed something to laugh at and many of my readers felt the same. Screw it! was born and became a hit with my readers.

I will continue to dapple with different genres though, I doubt I will change to a pen name for any. I am immensely proud of all my books and will continue to put my name to any/all works.

A few things about me:

I speak fluent sarcasm and for those who are easily offended, I'm most definitely not the person you want to be around.

I'm a hot chocolate lover with a healthy obsession with all kinds of romance books and an unhealthy obsession with fictional men *Ahem... Bat-boys.📚

I'm a mother to a beautifully demented little boy with ASD and GDD. He loves nothing more than to cause mischief and stalk away laughing maniacally. When my miniature bond villain isn't leaving a trail of destruction behind him, he can be found doting on our two dogs.

When I'm not busy running around after my son— you can find me curled up with a paperback or Kindle in hand—occasionally the odd Audiobook.

Firstly, thank you, Shauna, for sending me a free copy for my honest review.

This is the 4th book in the Olden Chronicles, and it starts off where the 3rd one ended. Just like the others, there is plenty of action, and you just want to keep turning the pages to find out what happens.

I love this series so much, and I'm team Tristan even though I also like Bjorn, and it was nice to read more about him. My heart did break a little bit while reading it, and there were parts i wasn't expecting.I can't wait for the next one and see where it goes.

If you like a fantasy romance novel, then this series is for you.

It isn't a secret that I love this series. It's also not a secret that I'm team Tristan, but this book shows a different side to a variety of different characters and I fell in love a little bit with Bjorn.

Catherine has had to sacrifice her relationship with Tristan in order to save his life, but she just can't let go fully.

Bjorn has fought for Catherine for years and vowed that he would eventually make her his, so now that she is traveling with him, can he thaw her heart to him.

This is a series where you fall in love with the characters, especially the supporting cast. Nola is a bad ass, Sverre is dangerous but soft and I must admit towards the end of the book though I could have caved Jamie's head in.

I will always be team Tristan I think, because both he and Catherine have went through too much to not be end game, but at the same time I have grown to love big Shirtless and think he's also gone through so much to prove his mettle and love for her.

I love a good "why choose" story line and if there is a HEA for the three of them, I'm so for it!

I love Shauna's writing and her sense of humour is always there on the page to lift you up after a tearful, anxious or tense scene.

This is book four in the series and it's the best one yet! I hope Shauna pulls her finger out and gets started on book five asap 🤞🤞

Following on from the pre ious book, Catherine and Tristan are far away from each other, recovering from their wounds. Each is longing for the other. However, to keep her safe, they must stay apart until their common enemy is discovered and dealt with. I really love these characters and their love story. Tristan makes the ultimate sacrifice by allowing Bjorn to care for and marry Catherine for her safety. They have complete and utter devotion. Catherine’s two souls are torn between the two men. I enjoyed watching this play out and I’m excited to see what comes next. The story is far from over. This is a well written, pacy novel that will appeal to fantasy romance lovers ever. There are a lot of steamy scenes throughout so it’s definitely for adults only. So far I’ve loved this series and cannot wait for the next chapter.

Vikings, violence and a whole lot of spice, what more could girl ask for in a read!
The latest instalment of The Olden Chronicles did not disappoint. Picking up from where Gaelic Mettle left off we get to see how Catherine and Tristan are faring apart and oh boy what an adventure unfolds in front of us. The story didn't go where I was expecting to however it works very well and is left nicely open for another year instalment, as always I look for to reading the next.adventure Shauna creates for us

If you are not a bjorn fan when you get to this book trust me you will be after. In this book you get so much more of an insight to him as a person but also his and Catherine’s relationship.

I must admit my heart did break a couple of times during this book but it was for a beautiful reason.

I cannot wait for the last book of this series I am excited to see where this will go.

I am telling you all now that I FLEW through this book! I have been following Shauna for many many books now, starting with her Raghnall series, her Screw You series & now beta reading and helping with the Olden Chronicles & Shauna has been working so hard with her writing.
We see a different side to Catherine in this story, losing her mate, the separation, the blood, the tears, & the heartbreak. I love Tristan and Bjorn as characters, they are such good matches for Catherine but you know me my bookworms, I love a good love triangle! Where I started off being #teamtristan at the beginning of the series, this book has me moving to #teambjorn 😱 & let me tell you those steamy scenes were too hot to handle!
If you love fantasy mixed with romance, fights, witchcraft & monsters then you will definitely love this series. Shauna has not disappointed us & I can’t wait to see this series blow up even more than it has already! Five stars all round!

So, there are no shocks here - this was always going to be a 5* read for me!

This is book 4 of the Olden Chronicles series and if you've been watching my stories/posts for a while, you'll know how much I absolutely adore this series!

I was so, so happy to have been given the opportunity to alpha read this as I have been desperate to continue the story since devouring the first 3 books over a couple of weeks, earlier this year. And I can tell you, it was well worth my (very short and impatient) wait!

If you've read Shattered Steel, Highland Reaper and Gaelic Mettle then you'll know that we were left on another huge cliffhanger - and we jump straight back into the action from where we left Catherine in the aftermath of the fire.

Upto now, I've been completely on #teamtristan but I have to say that the forced seperation that the past events created, means we now get to see much more of Bjorn and the relationship that had been simmering there all along.

We can't deny that Bjorn is gorgeous and he absolutely loves Catherine and would do anything to keep her safe - and there's plenty of opportunity within these pages for us to see just how much he cares - and to see Catherine fight her feelings, but slowly start to let Bjorn in (and her wolf take the reins)

I am way too sensitive though, because as lovely as this development was, I hated how the seperation was leaving Tristan and I loved all the ways he went about scheming to be able to see Kitty or find out where she was.

Ok, enough plot. I have to mention how badass Nola is in this book! She's totally fierce! Such a great friend to both Tristan and Catherine, keeping them both on the straight and narrow as well as coping with a new babe, a new man and honing her powers.

This was filled with action and adventure right from start to finish - the tension builds in both the immense fighting and the spicy scenes. The writing, characters and plot are addictive and I literally can't put it down once I've started reading.

I loved the direction the story took us in during this book and it's easy to see how things are building up nicely, ready for the epic final battle in the next (and last) book in the series - I'm already preparing for lots of tears! But will they be happy or sad ones?
However, there were more than a few real shockers in this book, so be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster here too!

I have never looked forward to the next book more - whilst also dreading it in equal measure! I honestly don't want this to end and can see myself grabbing this series over and over again in the future!

I loved the finale of this series - heart wrenching. After saving Tristan Cat is fleeing the country with Bjorn but torn between the two. The why choose RH aspect is played up really well. Plenty of action and adventure, too. The banter was fab and the interactions & action had me picturing this as a tv series in my head. I also love how in each of the books there is one gnarly monster Cat has to battle. A fast-paced, not-a-dull-moment enjoyable read with more burly Vikings than Scottish nobles this time. Interesting glimpses into the future as Cat taps into her seer powers. Loved the hints of portal-hopping built in but awww...the lengths some men would go to to get their mate back. The ending was sad-sweet and while not a cliffhanger, plenty of suspense for setting up the next generation series.

Recommended to read the books in the series in sequence; and for lovers of PNR medieval-vibe romance.

Another amazing read with in depth character/relationship development. I loved getting to see more of the Viking side of things, Sorli is like a Norse Ethan. There were times I thought the author was setting us up to lose another beloved character, though the Trinity keep kicking, others were not so lucky. Shauna's writing sucks you in, makes you laugh, and, at times, breaks your heart. I'm excited for the final book in the series, at the same time, I'm dreading it!

These books keep getting better. This book is part of a series, you would be better starting with book 1 then the others including this. Shauna has done great work with this series.

Once again this was such a good continuation of the series! I mean you always know with Shauna there'll be a heavy dose of depression... It wouldn't be a (fantasy) book written by Shauna if she didn't kill off at least one person you love but apart from that I of course loved it so much!
This is book 4 in this series so I'm actually not sure what I can say that won't be spoilers for previous books haha! BUT, I still really love all the characters, Shauna writes them so well and it's easy to distinguish even with a very large cast of characters. It was good to see a lot more of Bjorn in this one (although I'm not taking sides!) and some new lands and fantasy elements.
Having said all of this, I am not at all looking forward to reading the next book lol! As much as I love this series I am not at all excited for Shauna to rip out my heart and stomp on it. But alas, I need to know how everything unfolds, and at least then I'll have the joy of being able to read the Raghnall series! Seriously though, apart from the crying and heartbreaking I thoroughly love this series and all of Shauna's books!
P.S. Bonus points for dedicating it to my mum haha!
