Bailey Tisby is one semester from getting his degree and proving everyone wrong about his ability to graduate. All he has to do is make it through one more class. It would be an easy task if he didn't have to work with the most feared professor on campus. Dr. Page is ruthless, unforgiving, and illusive as they come.
When the stress of working for the man sends Bailey down a rabbit hole of self-soothing methods one night, he discovers a world he never imagined filled with binkies and blankets and bibs. He can't click the add to cart button fast enough.
Kelvin Page is frustrated with life. His job as a college professor bores him, his friends have all settled down, and his search for the perfect little never seems to end well. He's especially bothered when one of his students proves to be a temptation at every turn.
Fed up with his own sour disposition, Kelvin decides maybe he needs to just renew his Club Deny membership so he doesn't keep growling at everyone he encounters. At least if he could play Daddy a bit here and there, he'd find some relief.
When Bailey's package shows up at Kelvin's place by accident, the Daddy in him sees an opportunity he can't resist.
Bailey is a part of A Daddy for Christmas, a multi-author series. All the books are standalones, but each Daddy has a unique gift for his wonderful boy (or boys). Except all boys know that sometimes Santa gets it wrong, and it's going to take a very special Daddy to make it right. So why not stay and read them all?
We all know that if a professor, or any educator for that matter should fall for one of their students it could be disastrous resulting in a ruined career. Bailey is Kelvin's TA. When Kelvin sees him, he thinks how perfect he would be and wants to make him his boy. He has enough sense left to remember that he can't do this if he wants to keep his job or ever teach anywhere again. So, he decides to be short tempered, harsh and always out-of-sorts with him, causing Bailey to think that the professor hates him for some reason.
Bailey thought that Kelvin was the hottest thing God had ever created on two legs... but of course he can't show that, he's his teacher and the professor hates him for some unknown reason. Since Bailey's life is very stressful with his rich controlling, slimeball, parents, plus there's the guy that he has feelings for that he doesn't dare act on...and even if he could, the guy hates him...he begins to look on the internet for ways to de-stress his life, and what do you know...he stumbles onto age play. He feels less stress just reading about it...so he thinks this might be something that he's interested in...and just to try it out he orders a few "little" things...well actually a lot of "little" things...then waits for delivery. Checking for the status of said delivery he sees that it says it has been delivered...but he doesn't have it. Someone has it...and that someone knows exactly what it is, because he's a "Daddy" that thought, even though he wanted a "boy", he didn't have the time. Looking at the package he sees the address is almost the same as his...then he sees WHO that package of "little" things was supposed to have gone to. As they say, the rest is history. It was a warm, sweet story, that ended beautifully.
I read this a month or so ago...but forgot to review it. I understand the theory "of everything I've lost, I miss my mind the most" :)
It just clicked that I'd not published this review when I finished the book a few days ago.
I've been eager to read Bailey's story since he was introduced in His Christmas Conundrum, that I absolutely loved. With the exception of a few minor issues, I wasn't disappointed.
Bailey's had a rough life. The only child of a ridiculously wealthy family with political aspirations, he's been forced to play the game. He had to be the dutiful son who pretended to be part of a happy family both privately and publicly.
His parents were horrible, though that's too nice of a word to describe them.
Another person making Bailey's life miserable is his former professor, Kelvin Page. It was bad enough when he was Kelvin's student a couple of years before, but now he's the man's PA. To be blunt, the professor is a total ass, constantly calling Bailey out for silly reasons. Kelvin doesn't really hate Bailey - far from it, actually - but he feels like he has to be mean or Bailey might see how he really feels.
The only way to describe Kelvin when it comes to Bailey is obsessed. From the first meeting two years prior, he's wanted Bailey with every fiber of his being. No, not just wanted Bailey, he wants to be Bailey's Daddy. Only he has no clue if Bailey is even into kink, much less a Daddy/little relationship.
Spoiler alert - he is.
The way things come together for these guys is cute, if more than a little rushed. I've noticed that about this author's books.... everything comes together quickly, sometimes too quickly.
Even so, I really enjoyed the book. The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is because of that rushed thing I just mentioned, and a couple of other minor issues.
4,5 stars A Daddy for Christmas: Bailey by A.W. Scott is part of the A Daddy for Christmas series by multiple authors. This is the story of Bailey and Kelvin. (If you've read His Christmas Conundrum then you've been waiting for this story too!!). I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written. Bailey is such a sweety.

How to review Bailey (student) and Kelton (professor). Melton was IMO obsessed with his student at the time Bailey. Now Bailey is his assistant, but still can't have him by collage rules. Bailey does find Kelton attractive but he acts like an a$$. Kelton pretends to be that to keep distance from his obsession over Bailey. This is about at the halfway mark in story from here on. Suddenly, Bailey is interested in age play?. So he immediately orders "little" things. His boy items ordered online coincidentally were delivered to Kelton's house. This is where, again IMO, where it seems to turn a bit creepy and slightly stalkerish on Kelton's part when Bailey , unknowing who the call was from, gets the address to pick up his box. He was given directions just to enter and follow the arrows which landed him in Kelton's "baby" room already set up for BAILEY. 🤔Once in room Kelton shuts the door. 😮 CREEPY & STALKERISH to me how that went down. 😳 Bailey see's all the boy stuff and SUDDENLY they become Daddy/Boy couple right then 👀 !!. So fast. It was to me a bazaar story as Kelton still acts a bit creepy to the end. Maybe it's just how I seen it play out, so you'll have to read and get your own take on this. More to story with family, but these parts are what stood out the most to me. Happy reading. 🙂
Bailey is part of the ‘A Daddy for Christmas’ collection written by various authors. This stars Bailey Tisby, a little and TA, and Kelvin Page, professor, and Daddy. This is told in first person, present tense from Bailey and Kelvin’s pov.
The blurb sounded good so I picked up this book. Unfortunately, the blurb only gives the plot of the story, it doesn’t cover the writing style or characters. This book was not for me. I liked the plot, but I didn’t like the writing style. It’s in first person, present tense, but at times seems like it’s written in past tense, so mixed tenses. Also, there are a lot of errors in this book, like no one proof read this or they weren’t very good at it. Some scenes and actions seem inconsistent with other scenes in the book.
As I mentioned, this is in first person and the character voices, especially Kelvin’s, are boring. The story is about eighty percent monologue, telling their thoughts, feelings, actions, descriptions etc. Just telling, telling, and more telling. I couldn’t get into the characters because they told me how they felt rather than pulling me in to experience their emotions. I couldn’t believe Bailey forgiving Kelvin so quickly after Kelvin was so mean to him for the past year, no matter what Kelvin’s excuse was.
Bailey was an okay character. He had terrible parents who stressed him out, as did the antagonistic behavior of Kelvin when in the classroom. Bailey decided to search for a way to calm his nerves and found out about littles. Being a little came easy for him and I could believe him as a little. Kelvin, I didn’t like. He was a bully until he found out that Bailey might be a little. Kelvin was obsessive, possessive, and wasn’t into self-reflection. Other Daddies had to give him advice on how to fix his relationship with Bailey. Some people might think that Kelvin’s behavior is ‘swoon-worthy,’ I find it problematic. I mentioned character voices previously. Kelvin’s voice was very monotone. When he told us his thoughts, it was like someone reading a newspaper article. No emotion. I couldn’t believe in them as a couple.
I found Bailey to be a disappointing read, almost exclusively due to the tremendous amount of monologue in the story, which distanced me from the characters. That along with first person, present tense made it impossible to connect to the characters’ emotions. The plot is interesting, but the execution was not. I don’t recommend this story, and give it, 2 Stars.
Another great story by AW Scott!!! The stories she has spun haven’t disappointed me at all. I always am eager when she writes a story because I love/devour the stories she comes up with. Daddies/littles trope is one of my favorite tropes. This one takes place in a college setting. If you haven’t read “An Christmas Conundrum”, I’d suggest you read this one as well since the MCs in that book are in this book as well while Bailey, the MC in this one is in the other book too. It’s nice to be able to say, “Oh yeah, he’s in that book too”. I’d give this one 5 stars!
The story focuses on Bailey, who’s a TA for his professor (he has a crush on) but he’s being picked on or criticized by the professor. He couldn’t understand why. At the same time, Professor Kelvin has feelings for Bailey but because of the “relationship” between professor and student is being frowned upon, he had to suppress these feelings. To be able to do that, he had to be a grumpy professor and criticize/pick on Bailey to keep the feelings at bay. It so happens that Bailey ordered some “littles” stuff but the packages got delivered to the wrong address. It so happens Professor Kelvin’s address was somewhat similar to Bailey’s. I’m sure you can figure out what that entails so I’ll just stop right there and have you pick up the book and read. Don’t forget about the other one as well. Happy reading!
Bailey Tisby is just one semester from getting his degree and proving everyone wrong. He just has to make it through one more class but he is also the TA for the most feared professor on campus - Dr Page. Stress working for him sends Bailey looking into self-soothing methods and ends up in a world he never knew existed with binkies, blankets, bibs and stuffies. HE adds them to his basket as fast as he can. Kelvin Page is frustrated - his job bores him, his friends have all settled down and his search for the perfect little never ends well. This is all made worse when one of his students proves to be a temptation at every turn. He renews his Club Deny membership to get some relief playing as a temporary Daddy. When Bailey's package shows up at Kelvin's place by accident, the Daddy in him sees an opportunity he can't resist.
I loved this story with the two frustrated men, the stress on Bailey from his family, the supportive members of the community and the way that Bailey was a natural Little. I loved the inclusion of Princess Aster and the great support that Kelvin had for his boy. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
Five stars for a wonderfully written, sweet, holiday Daddy/little romance filled with pinning, grumping, a brand new little, a package mix up, and a cast of supporting characters that sends this from great to exceptional.
Though it can be enjoyed thoroughly as a standalone sweet daddy/little Christmas tale this book soars if you’ve read at least a couple of the books preceding it in A.W’s interconnected world. XOXO Aster, Tuck & Run, XOXO Grayson, Daddy’s Curious Boy, and His Christmas Conundrum cover all the amazing characters you’ll meet. (Especially His Christmas Conundrum as they happen simultaneously). But why stop there! If you haven’t read all the books in the series those books fall into then you’re missing out. Check out Princess Pen pals and Club Deny series now.
Another Christmas favorite to add to the list and another brilliant peek into the lush world Scott has created.
I love these books by AW Scott. I'm getting familiar with her stories, as I've read the Trevor/Milo story. This is Bailey and Kelvin's story. Kelvin is a professor at a college, and Bailey is his Teaching Assistant. Kelvin Page is known to be a tyrant, and generally unlikeable, and has done everything to make Bailey dislike him. Kelvin secretly has a huge crush on Bailey, but fears repercussions because he is a professor, and Bailey is a student. Not willing to risk his career or Bailey's education, he tries to sabotage any chance of getting Bailey, but a misdelivered package, may change things. Bailey is the gay son of a wanna be senator, and severely neglected and dismissed from his family unless they need him for promotions. Bailey suffers from anxiety, and seriously needs a way to calm himself, a chance suggestion from the internet, might just be the answer, and the way to bring Kelvin and Bailey together after all.
4.5 stars This one was super cute. Bailey tugged at my heart several times. He was just going through so much. And as much as I ended up loving Kelvin he was not helping Bailey out in the beginning. Bailey was so brave to look for answers and being willing to explore this new kink he was learning about. I did end up loving Kelvin but I did not like how he treated Bailey at the start. Yes he had his reasons but it still made me hurt for Bailey. But when he finally decides to change he is such an amazing man and an amazing support for Bailey. Half a star is taken away simply because I think Kelvin should have actually apologized to Bailey for how he acted over the years. He explained and Bailey just accepted the implied thank you. I just personally would have liked to see Kelvin actually say “I’m sorry for how I went about it”. But that is just my personal opinion. It really is such a super cute, sweet story. Absolutely recommend.
When a professor falls for one of his students it could ruin his career. So when Kelvin sees Bailey, and wants to make him his boy he has to be harsh with him, making Bailey think the professor hates him. Bailey life is very stressful, while looking up how to de-stress your life he stumbled upon age play. So he decided to buy some little stuff to try it out. Awaiting for his package to arrive he discovered it went to the wrong address. Kelvin received the package and set his plan into action, to get the boy he has wanted for the past two years. Brilliant story, and it had a lot of characters from A W Scott's previous books
Kelvin is a professor and a Daddy who falls for a student two years ago then that same student is now is TA. Kelvin is doing everything to keep his feelings hidden. Bailey has a stressful family and being a TA to a professor that hates him just added more stress. Then he finds age play and orders somethings that will give him stress release. Oops it was delivered to the right but wrong house. It was explosive when they realized that they enjoy being together.
Bailey is a bit of enemies to lovers story. Bailey is a TA at his college, he is scared of everything and is just trying to make it through. He is also on a voyage of self discovery into the Littles world of bdsm. Kelvin is a ruthless professor and he makes his TA Bailey suffer as well as his students. He is miserable and take sit out on them all. He is also a Daddy who has been out to of the scene for a bit. A delivery mishap and some help from Princess Aster from previous books set in this universe.
I know daddy kink tends to be instalove/lust, but calling someone Daddy seconds after finding out they don’t hate you and they were only being a jerk to you for years because they wanted to hide their obsession with you is… a choice. Yet something about this book made me want to keep reading.
This story combined two of my favorite tropes: Daddy/boy and professor/student. I really liked how Kelvin revealed to Bailey that he was a Daddy and wanted Bailey to be his boy. This was a sweet story with cute characters, an interesting plot, and a little family drama.
This was such a great read. I wanted Bailey’s story when I read him in Trevor’s book. And we got some good blasts from the past. It’s always great when PA is involved.
Great book,,,there are so many people in this world but when you find your one and only love well there are different ways around that and that is patience and a lot of misunderstanding until you sit and communicate and that’s what this books about
Bailey’s under a lot more stress now that his Father’s running for office. Enjoy Bailey and Professor Page as they discover they may be able to relieve the stress together in creative and steamy fun ways!!!
AS Scott did a wonderful job building this story. Not surprised other characters have there own story too. Just picked out two more to add to my Kindle! The story line is believable. Getting a found family in the mix is great.
So I really enjoyed Bailey and Kelvin. Reading feeling falling into the story so I was fully invested and just a little sad when it was over. Sigh I would enjoy more.
This story has a great buildup to the start of their relationship. They are well suited for each other. The big reveal scene is adorable. Another great holiday read.
