THREE COWBOYS AND A BRIDE (Three Cowboys Book #3) by Kate Pearce is the third book in the Three Cowboys trilogy of cowboy contemporary romances and Max’s story which I have been waiting for and I believe my favorite of the three. While this book can be read as a standalone, I read them in order to follow all three of the cowboys’ romances because the main characters live together, and all appear in each book.

Cowboy Max Romero has never felt he deserved a permanent home, and he has an unfiltered mouth which gets him in trouble often, even with his friends. When he takes off a without notice from the ranch after a disagreement with Luke and Noah, they are surprised when he returns a few months later with a bride in tow that no one knew anything about.

Phoebe Creighton-Smith has tracked down the man she married in Reno. Four years ago, she conceived a marriage of convenience to Max to solve a problem with her inheritance back in England and then they parted ways. Now she is back requesting Max to play her husband at her sister’s wedding. Max agrees, but only if Phoebe will play a real rancher’s wife until they need to leave.

While playing husband and wife, Max and Phoebe discover an explosive chemistry between them, but these two have a few secrets to clear up. When Phoebe’s brother manipulates them to part, will Max risk it all for the woman he loves?

I loved Max and Phoebe. I really had no idea how Max would find the one for him after his problems in the first two books of the trilogy, but they were perfect for each other. There was a large communication gap between them, and it was slowly settled throughout the story and ended with the HEA I wished for. The sex scenes were smokin’ hot and steamy, but not gratuitous. I also always enjoy catching up on the lives of the other main couples and secondary characters. This is an entertaining and sexy romance with a great cast of characters.

I highly recommend this entire trilogy and I will definitely be checking out more of this author’s books.

Three Cowboys And A Bride by Kate Pierce is everything I hoped it would be first of all it was about Max who was secretly married to Phoebe for the past four years, she was in Reno needing a marriage of convenience and Max was conveniently there and agreed. Everything was fine and then Max shows up to the ranch with his bride In tow shocking everyone. Max however is the most shocked and confused because if all Phoebe wanted was a divorce then why come all the way to California? The whole time Max believes she is just there for that one reason but when things get out of hand and they spend the night together everything becomes murky and then a visitor from England shows of confusing things even more. They try to convince Max that despite phoebes confession of wanting to stay, he maybe shouldn’t trust that. Will Max stay a desperado or is the Lord the one making a simple situation into a confusing one? I couldn’t wait to read this book I have loved the three Cowboys books and spooned over everyone but Max was the one I looked most forward to I just love him and wanted to see how his romance would play out and OMG if Kate Pearson didn’t give him the best story. While all this is going on I do want to mention that Bernie and Noah are getting ready for the wedding the family excepts Phoebe and makes her feel at home I wish we would’ve seen little sky more but that is just a person no wish and not something that affects the book at all. I do love the way the author always maintains the characters she creates personalities from books to book a lot of times authors don’t pay attention to that but I guess that is what makes Kate Pierce one of the best. This is an absolutely fabulous book that I definitely recommend if you love romance then you’ll definitely love this book. You don’t have to read this after the others it can totally be read as a stand alone, reading all three just gives you a fuller picture. Max has always been a bit of a live wire. You never knew what to expect from him. It was good to see him come back with a bit more direction in his life and the knowledge that he had to try harder and think before speaking and/or acting. It was time for him to grow up and he did. In some ways, I couldn’t blame his friends for doubting his intentions when it came to Phoebe. Yet there came a time when I thought they were being a bit too hard on him and not seeing how hard he was trying. It made me sad for him.

As Phoebe’s story unfolded, I couldn’t help but sympathize with her. She has been married to Max for four years, all of which they’ve been out of contact, so she’s still a virtual stranger to him. But Max and his found family are more in tune with Phoebe and her personality than her own family that she sees almost daily. They take advantage of her and make her feel guilty for wanting to live her own life. She doesn’t seek Max out to force a relationship, but these two understand each other and are drawn to each other. It muddied the waters and they don’t speak their truths to each other which made it worse.

While Max and Pheobe are great together, I wish there would have been fewer misunderstandings. They got tedious after a while. They cared about one another so much but kept hurting each other. Then, when they both finally seemed to get a clue, the ending wrapped up quite quickly.

I’m not going to lie, I have struggled with this series. It’s not bad at all. It just doesn’t live up to what I’ve come to expect from a Kate Pearce contemporary. (I haven’t really read her historicals, so I can’t speak to that.) This final book in the series is much better than the last one. Again, they are not bad. Yet something was missing. Possibly a connection among the characters that wasn’t as deep as I wanted.

The third book in the trilogy & another well written captivating romance. I loved both Max & Phoebe, both had baggage. I loved the chemistry between them & how their feelings deepened as they spent time together. It was also good to catch up with Noah & Luke – well they do live on the same ranch. A fun, entertaining romance which I read straight through

Absolutely excellent honeymoon beach read. Couldn’t get enough of the “sweetheart” and “sweet pea’s” and cheesy storyline involving the ex-marine turned rancher and sophisticated English woman dropped into the farm lifestyle. A simplistic plot but had more substance than I was banking for.

Good wrap-up to the series. The story begins with a prologue, spelling out how Phoebe and Max ended up married. Phoebe, a British woman trying to wrest her inheritance from her uncooperative family, needs a husband to fulfill the requirements. Max, a Marine between deployments, draws her attention in a Reno bar. Something about him leads her to propose a marriage-of-convenience arrangement, and Max, who is always game for a challenge, jumps right in. But Max disappeared the next day without leaving contact information.

Four years later, Phoebe tracks Max down at the California ranch where he works with his two Marine friends, Luke and Noah. He never told them about Phoebe, so everyone is shocked that he is married. Phoebe still needs Max's help, and asks him to continue in the role to convince her family. Neither expected the sparks of attraction that rekindled from their wedding night. I loved seeing Max and Phoebe get to know each other as she settled into her temporary stint as a ranch wife. The more time they spend together, the deeper their connection and feelings grow. Some wonderful scenes highlight how good they are together and how happy they can be. But both of them have emotional baggage that makes it difficult for them to believe the other would want more than their temporary marriage.

I got frustrated with both because neither communicated well with the other, leading to misunderstandings and hurt feelings. Matters became more complicated when Phoebe's brother showed up, trying to convince Phoebe to return to England. George was manipulative in his attempt to get his way and zoomed in on Max's insecurities. He also knew which buttons to push to get Phoebe to react in the way he wanted. Both Max and Phoebe have some self-examination to do before they can let go of the past. I loved the advice that Max got from his friends and what he did with it. At the same time, we get to see how Phoebe's relationship with Max has changed her. There is a terrific scene with George, and later her grandmother, that shows off the new Phoebe. Max's big moment was fantastic, and I loved seeing them work things out.

The epilogue was terrific. Seeing all three couples and catching up on their lives was great.

Three Cowboys and a Bride is the third and final book in Kate Pearce's Three Cowboys series. You can read it as a standalone but you'll probably enjoy it more if you've read the other books first. There's a lot of history and backstory for the three cowboys and it's been delightful seeing them all get their HEAs.

This book reminds me of the romances I read when I was young only so much better and more modern. It contains a marriage of convenience and a British bride who spent her youth at an all-girl's boarding school. She's also part of a titled family and is fighting her brother for an inheritance that's rightfully hers that he's trying to block.

While there's some pretty heavy petting in the story the real sexy time doesn't come until about 50% of the way into the story. Phoebe and Max don't communicate well which leads to all kinds of misunderstanding.

Besides the relationship between Phoebe and Max we get to reconnect with characters from the first two books. The three guys are all great friends but they still tend to get on each other's nerves at times.

I've enjoyed reading this series very much and I'm sorry to see it end. I've been following Kate's cowboy romances for several years now and I hope that this won't be the last of them.

Side note: I read a lot of books by British authors and I loved that Kate Pearce had a British heroine in this book. I do have one minor comment about that though, and I suspect it might be an editor's mistake: I totally loved it when Phoebe spoke with a British voice (jumper instead of sweater for example) but there were few places when Max was speaking that the grammar wasn't correct for US English (for example when he said: 'your family are missing out' when it should be 'your family is missing out'). These things didn't diminish my enjoyment of the story at all. It's just something that bugs me a little bit when I read a book written by a British author that is set in the US and I can't help but notice it.

Is this story for someone who wants to just buzz out the noise and read through a Harlequin type of book? Potentially yes.
Was this story for me? No.

Truly and honestly I wanted to like this book. Unfortunately I didn’t and dnf’d at 68% as I felt like the story wasn’t taking me anywhere.

Two of my favorite tropes are there’s only one bed and a marriage of convenience. Unfortunately this book didn’t meet the potential it could’ve reached for these tropes. Everything moved faster than an average work of fanfiction.

The two main characters, Phoebe and Max, haven’t seen each other in four years for a reason I haven’t fully figured, other than “I needed to figure out things”. Both were very eager to dive into that one bed together rather than talk it about things. The smut felt cold, distant and clinical. Not once, but twice.

I couldn’t connect with any of the characters as I felt they lacked depth and remained superficial. Maybe also due to fact that the book is written from a third persons point of view.

It felt like it was all over the place and as a reader we were given a lot of unnecessary gap filling information in places that didn’t require them or added anything new to the story.
For example, we’re presented with a side character named Olly who had a helping hand in organizing a bachelors party. Apparently our main man Max gave Olly some input and had a helping hand in making this vision a reality for Olly. Though, going from Olly’s introduction there was absolutely nothing that indicated that these two characters had met prior to discuss this bachelor party.
This is one example out of many others I could give.

However, I could definitely see the potential of the story, but unfortunately this felt like reading a first draft. Personally the story didn’t draw me in like I had hoped it would. It felt like a platonic friendship that was one sided when it came to showing interest.

This is the third and final book in the Three Cowboys series about three former Marines. Luke Nilson owns a ranch in northern California and after he and his Marine buddies, Noah Harding and Max Romero, get out of the Marines, they go back to the Nilson Ranch to live and work. Noah and Luke got their HEAs in the first two books and now it is Max's turn. While this book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone, I was glad to have read the first two, so that I was familiar with all of the characters that appear in this one.

Four years ago, Max was in a casino in Reno when Phoebe Creighton-Smith, a British woman, approached him. She had been quietly observing him and noticed that he was not responding to aggressive women that were approaching him. She thought that he just might be the candidate she needed for a marriage of convenience. She was in line for an inheritance in England, but she needed to be married in order to get it. She told Max that as soon as her inheritance came through, they could be divorced. Overnight, Max disappeared without leaving Phoebe with contact information.

In the meantime, Phoebe tries to track Max down. Her family demands that she produce this "so-called" husband to prove that she is actually married. Finally, she finds out where Max is and shows up at the ranch. Max's marriage is a total surprise to everyone, but as they get to know Phoebe and see the attraction between the two, they decide that maybe this could be a match after all.

However, it is not smooth sailing for the two. They must deal with interference from Phoebe's prestigious and difficult family and Max and Phoebe have trouble being honest and leveling with each other. This book was a nice culmination to the series.

It was only supposed to last a year. But after the year passed, Max never really thought about it. That's just the way he was. So no one was more surprised than he was when Phoebe showed up at the ranch where he lived and worked with his army buddies Noah and Luke. Though time had passed, Phoebe still needed Max's help to convince her family their marriage was real and convince them to give her the inheritance her grandfather had left her.

Max was willing to continue the charade, but first he wants Phoebe to spend some time experiencing his ranching life. To his surprise, Phoebe enjoys it, quickly becoming friends with Luke's sister and his fiancé, and his mother, as well as Luke and Noah. As she carves out a place for herself on the ranch, Max finds more and more the fake marriage doesn't feel all that fake. And it scares the heck out of him.

I'm a fan of the underdog, so I really loved this story. Max isn't quite the devil may care, sarcastic guy we thought he was. We learn a whole lot more about Max and his background. He tends to care for the others much more than he cares about himself. He's self deprecating. Now we know why. Despite having a found family who cares about him and a place to belong, Max seems so lonely. He doesn't believe in himself and can't see how he can possibly be good enough for his friends, let alone someone like Phoebe.

This is a heartwarming, story of friendship, of self discovery. Max agrees to help Phoebe on a whim. But it may be the best thing he ever did. I think Max was actually surprised to find how much he cared for Phoebe. And caring for her may be the best thing that ever happened to him. With a little help from his friends he starts to see himself in a new light. He becomes more confident in himself. In the end, you can't help but root for Max.

Three ex-Navy SEALs gone cowboy find love in this series. Max meets Phoebe in Reno four years before the story begins and their reunion proves interesting, indeed!

What I liked:
* Phoebe: British, bright, responsible, honest, communicates well, has given much time to her family, wants her inheritance in full and is willing to do what it takes to get it, attracted to Max from the beginning but will she get all that she wants before the book ends?
* Max: ex-SEAL, adolescent trouble maker, settled down in the military, good friend, capable, has insecurities and self-worth issues, uses humor as armor, tends to suppress rather than confront, is attracted to Phoebe, has trouble communicating, wants Phoebe but will he be able to have her?
* Luke & Berrnie: missed their story in book two of the trilogy BUT Luke seems wise, competent, aware, and there for those he is responsible for and cares about
* Noah & Jen: remembering their story, that I did read, was a lot of fun – both were positive influences in this book though Noah was a grumpy Gus for awhile
* The bachelor party - interesting and thoughtful of Max to come up with that event
* The way the relationship grew between Max & Phoebe and the way it…eventually…worked out
* That Phoebe’s background didn’t impede her ability to slip into ranch life and fit in well
* All of it really except…

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant not to like
* Phoebe’s oppressive manipulative relatives
* Not being able to understand Max’s parents

Kate Pearce brings us another installment of the Three Cowboys series with cowboy Max. When Max meets a beautiful English woman, he doesn't expect her to propose to him. When it does happen, he throws caution to the wind and goes for it. Fast forward four years later, we find Max working on the Nilsen Ranch near Quincy, California when his wife reappears into his life. After years of living apart, what will Max and Phoebe do now that she still needs his help? What they do not tell everyone is why they married in the first place and why they still need to stay married. It always comes down to money and this case, so she can inherit a piece of family land that her family do not want to part with.

Kate Pearce brings us the story of two strangers who married each other. What can possibly happen all these years later as they try to convince everyone around them that they are truly married? What happens as they spend more time together on the ranch amongst friends and family? How can they convince her brother that they are indeed married when he comes over from England? And what happens when they are too stubborn or hesitant to share how they really feel? Does it get in their way and prevent them from having their happily ever after, or will someone be brave enough to step up? You get to follow along on their journey as they answer all of these questions and catch up with those we met in the other books.

Kate Pearce is my favorite Western Romance writer and this series hasn't disappointed. The characters are likable, have issues (who doesn't), and their lives are so different and on a totally dissimilar paradigm than my own. Lovely banter, beautiful scenery description make it such an enjoyable read. It makes me wish I wasn't allergic to horses and several decades younger.

The mystery of where Max disappeared in the previous book is revealed. He had a secret wife, a marriage of convenience that took place 4 years earlier in Reno after they met at a casino and they has lost touch. British Phoebe Creighton-Smith, stranded in Reno had approach Max at a bar when he was stateside and ask him if he would marry her to help her out with an inheritance issue. He went along and then forgot to leave her with his address. She tracks him down at his sister's, Maria, who none of his friends knew about either. Neither will admit that it was love at first sight and both are too scared (because of those issues that I mentioned earlier) to be honest with each other and almost destroy their chance of happiness. Watching them, knowing that they are really perfect for each other, is frustrating for their friends and the reader, but with a little heart ache and pushes from their friends they finally figure it out. The only thing I don't like is that the series has ended, as I would love to read more about them all.

Book 3 in the Three Cowboys trilogy is finally Max's story. This can be read as a stand-alone.

British heiress, Phoebe Creighton-Smith needs a husband to access her inheritance. Marine Max Romero is having a drink in a Reno casino between deployments on a visit to his half-sister. But Max "looks right" to Phoebe so the two strike a bargain for a marriage of convenience.

Four years later, Phoebe needs to produce her absent husband to force her brother to release her inheritance. Phoebe returns to Reno to convince her husband-in-name-only to return with her in time for her sister's wedding. Only, they form a deeper connection predictably marred by misunderstandings and miscommunications.

They make an engaging couple. I had some issues with some aspects of the story. For a group of retired Marines on a working cattle ranch, they seem to subsist on pancakes and soup. Nothing wrong with pancakes and soup, but heartier fare might be called for. It would've been nice to have mentioned their ranks at retirement while author, Kate Pearce alludes to dangerous missions which results in varying forms of PTSD. This made for an entertaining read and a fitting end to the trilogy.

Cowboy Max Romero has a secret, even from his two best buds, Noah and Luke. Having this big a secret would normally be hard to keep but when you do a favor for someone and then don’t see them for four years, things take a back burner to daily things, like running a ranch together.
But when his secret British bride Phoebe Creighton-Smith shows up out of nowhere and moves into the ranch with Max, the secret is out, big time! Finding out that they not only were married but had been married for four years takes some explaining.
Phoebe meets Max in a bar in Reno and tells him of her inheritance issues and that she must get married to be able to claim her inheritance from her brother and grandmother. It was to be a marriage on paper only but when the two meet again, all bets are off!
Watching the journey of Max and Phoebe is a delight, as well as revisiting the characters from the first two Cowboy books. This is a sweet and sexy read and I enjoyed every minute!

Three Cowboys and a Bride is the third book in Kate Pearce’s Three Cowboys series. Once three combat tested Navy guys, Luke Nilsen, Noah Harding, and Max Romero are now working the ranch owned by the Nilsen family. Max disappeared earlier in the year worrying his friends only to return with a British bride of four years. Prior to this, Luke and Noah had no idea that the grumpiest of them all was a married man.

In what had begun as an odd request for a marriage of convenience has led to a call for help and then Max sets up house with his wife, Phoebe Creighton-Smith. When the British lady begins riding western and spending long days on the ranch and long nights in her husband’s bed, things change in a big way. But when Phoebe’s brother puts Max in a difficult position, Max does the gentlemanly thing and sets his wife free to return to her birthright while suffering inside.

This is a well written story that compares people and their backgrounds, ways of life, and how feelings can out shadow it all. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

Three Cowboys and a Bride is the last book in the series by Kate Pearce. The series is about 3 cowboys who together work on a large spread. In this novel Max is the focus as his secrets come out in a surprising way.

Max Romero is married and has been for four years. Just a detail he didn’t tell his friends. Phoebe propositions him at a bar and he agrees to marry her to help her. Now she is back and needs her husband. Together Phoebe and Max try to move forward. Since Phoebe has always been at her family’s beck and call, she assumes everyone thinks poorly of her. Max struggles to communicate even on the best of days. Together they have to bumble along trying to find a solution while finally admitting they love each other. Compromises and honesty lie at the heart of Phoebe and Max’s issues.

I enjoy Kate Pearce’s writing and her characters. In this novel, I found Max particularly difficult, so it was fun to watch him struggle to find his way when he comes across all heartless and swagger. Three Cowboys and a Bride is a good read,

An absolutely enjoyable romance between Phoebe Creighton-Smith, from England, and former Marine and now cowboy Max Romero. Four years ago, Phoebe met Max in Reno and thought he would do nicely to be the husband she needed. Her brother was threatening to withhold her inheritance, so, she asked Max to marry her and he said yes. Now four years later, Phoebe finally tracked him down, not knowing that he had been overseas serving his country. His marriage comes as quite a shock to his extended family, but then they are used to Max, just being Max. Phoebe enjoys helping at the Nilson Ranch, enjoying the family atmosphere and making friends. As she and max spend time together, will they decide to stay married, to consummate their wedding vows? Or, when her brother arrives in town, will he convince her to return to England to secure her inheritance? I enjoyed Phoebe’s fiery spirit as she fights, with Max’s support, for what is right and what she deserves. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. Cowboy Max Romero has returned to the ranch with his wife of 4 years. Seems he's been married and never told his best friends. He was married in Reno to a British lady name Phoebe. Phoebe has returned to America to find Max; she needs to prove to her family she does have a husband. She needed to be married to get her trust fund that her family is holding hostage too. Her father has now passed away and her brother is still holding the purse strings. Phoebe surprises everyone by willing helping with the ranch chores. She can ride and doesn't have a problem getting dirty. The longer they are together both come to realize maybe being married to each other is a good idea. But; they have to admit it to each other. They are in for a bumpy ride on HEA.
I have read the first two books and loved following the adventures of these three men. They have survived a lot since they are former military.

“Oh what tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.” Says it all with this story. Phoebe is desperate! She needs a husband in order to receive her inheritance. Most people go to a bar to pick up someone, she goes to find a husband. When Max is asked to marry by a total stranger, his answer is why not? And the next day it was as if it never happened and Phoebe goes back to England. Years later she finds Max at the ranch in CA. He wonders if she is looking for a divorce, but there is a spark and so many secrets on both sides.
Love the MCs and the insecurities both Phoebe and Max try to face up to, but also hide. Glad the previous characters are all back and the is a continuation of their stories. Be forewarned there are a few steamy scenes.

This was a fabulous read from Kate. The marriage of convenience between Max and Phoebe was startling.
It was four years before Phoebe was able to track Max down to see about getting everything sorted.

She was in love with him, and clearly wanted to make a go of the marriage for real. Max was giving her mixed signals, and there were a lot of ups and downs. When her interfering brother, George, turns up he tells Max what he will do if Max agrees to let Phoebe return to England with him. As Max has finally decided that he is in love with Phoebe, he makes her decision easy. Unfortunately, when he returns to the house, Phoebe has already left for her own sister’s wedding.

In the midst of all this, Noah and Jen are preparing to get married, and Luke has finally decided he is going to propose to Bernie.

This was a great story and wrapped up the previous two books as well.
Congratulations Kate on a job well done.

his is the third book in the Three cowboys series of Kate Pearce. And although you can read it as a standalone, I would recommend you read the Three cowboys and a Baby and Three Cowboys and a Puppy first. Because you can enjoy the dynamics between Max, Luke and Noah a bit more, if you have read them all. These three cowboys have been through a lot and still Kate is able to spin three totally different stories. I think I liked Max’ story the best of all.

Because how often do you read about a man who ‘accidentally’ gets married and then never sees her again for four years? And when his wife Phoebe does show up, he promises to help her by going around the world with her to convince her family they are happily married. How cute is that?

Of course, the credibility and likelihood of this story is a bit low, but nonetheless I highly enjoyed it. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Hold your horses, girl! I gotta admit, I didn't read the first two books of this series. The truth is that I didn't even know that it was part of a series. What can I say? Can't resist a cowboy romance !!! yeehaw

I thought this was a polyamorous romance, but I was wrong (lol). This story's all about Phoebe and Max. Four years ago, they met in Reno, got hitched in a spur-of-the-moment kind of way, then went their separate trails. Now, Phoebe's back in US, searching for Max, and that's how they both end up at the ranch. And explaining this surprise marriage to Max's ranch buddies is, let's just say, interesting.

Definitely, it was a fun ride. Phoebe and Max are such cute. Opposites attract + fake marriage = never disappointing *chef's kiss*. HEA? You bet your boots!

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC! An impulsive wedding between two seemingly opposite people; Max, a mischievous cowboy and Phoebe, a posh Brit. Max and Phoebe have not seen each other since their wedding night until Phoebe shows up and requests Max to play happy couple in front of her family. What occurs next is two strangers, from two different worlds, falling in love and trying to decide how to make this marriage work...and if the other partner even wants to.

This was a super cute love story. I have not read this series but quickly figured out who our 3 cowboys are, and did not feel like there were major details I was missing by reading this final book in the series. I feel like this book addressed communication; family boundaries etc. all really well, and in a realistic way. This is not a closed door romance so please keep that in mind when reading.

I loved the Three Cowboy series!

Nobody at the Nilsen Ranch knew that Max Romero had gotten married four years ago until he had to tell them when his wife Phoebe Creighton-Smith showed up at his sister’s house in Reno. Phoebe had married Max to help with getting her inheritance from her family. Now her family wants to actually see Max in person finally but she would rather be around Max on the ranch if her family doesn’t interfere.

Max had thought that Phoebe would file for divorce after she had solved her inheritance problem but now she was on the ranch he didn’t want her return to England.

I loved how everybody on the Nilsen ranch supports each other because they want the best for them.

I recently finished reading "Three Cowboys and a Bride" by Kate Pearce, and I found it to be a delightful cowboy romance centred around a marriage of convenience. Initially, I was a bit unsure about the title, but I later discovered that it's actually book three in the "Three Cowboys series" by Kate Pearce.

The story revolves around cowboy Max Romero, who has been keeping a secret from everyone at the Nilsen ranch for the last four years. Meanwhile, Phoebe Creighton-Smith returns from England after four years to find the husband she married but has not seen in the same amount of time.

They got married one night in Reno due to Phoebe's inheritance issues, and the story beautifully portrays two strangers from different worlds falling in love and trying to navigate the complexities of their fake marriage.

Third book in this series, this is Max’ story.
When, out of the blue Max comes home with his wife of four years all his friends are speechless… he never ever mentioned a wife and sometimes he didn’t even remember having one. But days and nights with her are nice so why not asking her to stay for good? When he realizes what and who she is, there’s no way he will put himself between her and her duties.
Phoebe didn’t want to drag this thing with Max for so long and now that she’s come all this way to get a divorce the last thing she wants is letting him go… but he made her a huge favor four years ago agreeing to a marriage of convenience and now she wants to set him free… after all he didn’t ask her to stay with him…
OMG ! I never expected a plot like this. A “modern-regency-cowboy romance”… is it even possible? It seems Ms Pearce can write anything !!!

Three Cowboys and a Bride is the latest entry into the Three Cowboys Series by Kate Pearce. Secret marriage that has actually been a marriage since it first happened. Everyone is surprised to fine that Max Romero had an impulsive side to him that includes a Reno marriage. Now his bride that was Brit Phoebe Creighton-Smith needs Max’s help in convincing her family that it is a real marriage. A trust fund is at stake but more importantly are two hearts and a love that could become lasting.

A fun story with cowboys working a real ranch and a stuffy British family. Max is a guy to love, and Phoebe grows on you with time. Time that allows her to ride, rope and a life like the rest of them. An entertaining story to add to these guys HEAs.

The third and final book in the Three Cowboys trilogy by Kate Pearce is a lot of fun and a quick read.

Marrying Phoebe in Reno four years prior, when she shows up on the ranch, Max figures she's gotten her inheritance and is there so they can divorce. Nothing is further from the truth. Phoebe must show her family that she really is married by producing the husband!

Misunderstandings abound and if they would just discuss issues, Max and Phoebe's lives would be so much easier! Phoebe's family is not the most trusting and make everything more difficult. Talk people talk!!

I read the first two books of this series and was glad I did. Although this could be read as a standalone, having the background from the first two books really helps with knowing all of the characters.
