Can Moonbeam and the Blue Heron Cottages weave their magic and provide the perfect Christmas for everyone?
Continue on with the Blue Heron Cottages series, a touching saga of love, resilience, and the profound connections we stumble upon in the unlikeliest of places. It's a journey through love, loss, and ultimately, the transformative power of friendship.
Kay Correll is a USA Today bestselling author of sweet, heartwarming stories that are a cross between women’s fiction and contemporary romance. She is known for her charming small towns, quirky townsfolk, and the enduring strong friendships between the women in her books.
Kay splits her time between the Southwest coast of Florida and the Midwest of the U.S. and can often be found out and about with her camera, taking a myriad of photographs, often incorporating them into her book covers. When not lost in her writing or photography, she can be found spending time with her ever-supportive husband, knitting, or playing with her puppies - a cavalier who is too cute for his own good and a naughty but adorable Australian shepherd. Their five boys are all grown now and while she misses the rowdy boy-noise chaos, she is thoroughly enjoying her empty nest years.
This is the 7th installment of the Blue Heron Cottages series. I really love this series. It has great 3-dimentional characters who have their own unique personalities and blend in well with each other.
Violet is preparing to celebrate her first Christmas as the owner of Blue Heron Cottages. If you have read the previous books then you know that Violet is the owner of Blue Heron Cottages in the quaint town of Moonbeam, FL. She totally restored the old cottages and gave them quite the facelift. They are charming with their different colored cabins.
Danny is struggling with his teenage daughter, Allison, who has gotten in with the wrong crowd at school and has found herself in a bit of trouble. He decided the best medicine is to get away and take his unruly daughter to Moonbeam for Christmas. Even though she is so stubborn and doesn't want to go, she doesn't have much of a choice. This may be just the medicine they need to rekindle their father / daughter relationship.
Rose is still grieving over her husband who past away months before as she prepares for her first Christmas without him. She decides to revisit Blue Heron Cottages for the holidays and reconnect with her friends including Violet.
Aspen is worried that Walker is losing interest in her. He seems to be keeping a secret. To make matters worse, her sister cancelled her plans to come to Moonbeam to spend the holidays with Aspen.
It’s going to be a magical Christmas in Moonbeam!
This is a sweet book about Community, relationships, friendships, family, surprises and second chances. I really enjoyed it just like I have the other books in the series.
As always spectacular you never disappoint. The sense of community and family love is so resonating. I love a good Christmas story and this met all my expectations and more. I laughed and cried and just felt good in general. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series already pre ordered!! Can't wait to stay tuned
I enjoyed this story very much. Kay writes of a small town where all the people are so kind and considerate toward one another. In this story another broken family find their place and begin to heal. It's exactly the kind of place I'd like to be! Kay's books take me away from the problems of my own life, even for a little while!
Just finished Christmas by the Bay. I think of all the books I have read so far in this series. This one is my favorite. I just loved the story about family and the holiday spirit. The joys and memories that can come out at the holiday season. This is an amazing story. Kay, you have really outdone yourself on this book. Now, for the last book in the series.
OMG...I actually teared up!! Kay Correll this story was so good!! They all are but this one just touched something in me. I loved these characters and the plot. The newcomers were a surprise and I'm so happy for Violet and Aspen. I'm so looking forward to Roses story.
A very uplifting book. This series is filled with uplifting things. Everyone seems to end up getting what they need when they end up in Moonbeam. Each book can be read as a stand alone but it is so much better to read them from the start.
I would love a place like moonbeam. I love that Danny loved his daughter so much that he risk her staying angry with him to remove her from a bad environment for her.
Kay, you are an awesome storyteller! This series just keeps growing, and I see it’s far from over. We went to the west coast of Florida, to a small restaurant on the water with tables outside. All I could think about a grouper sandwich and you!
It's always great to return to the Blue Heron Cottages and especially for Christmas. Kay Correll has given us another book to enjoy with all the characters we have come to love have come to stay in Violet's cottages. She has been looking foreword to the holidays decorating and enjoying her guests. What she did not know that was Santa was going to bring her a present she didn't know she was getting when guest Danny Parker and his daughter came to stay for the holidays. And dear Rose who is like a grandmother to all, has come back for Christmas and she is celebrating her first one with out her dear Edward and she must make some life changing decisions going into the new year.
So join in the holidays at the beach and this will bring you that nice warm holiday feeling, even if you are reading it when is blowing snow. What more could one want for the holidays.
