Faced with encroaching alien forces, a daring officer's journey unveils a hidden history between humanity and their cosmic adversaries...

Galiza, a planet besieged by an enigmatic alien force, finds itself engulfed in perpetual darkness, its inhabitants scrambling for survival amidst the engulfing shadows. In a vital refurbishment of their defenses, the canine-humans of Galiza resort to manipulating the biology of their extraterrestrial adversaries, fashioning quantum suits powered by the invaders' blood. Yet, despite these technological advancements, the conflict remains at a stalemate after two relentless years of war.

Amat Luciph Criptous, a commanding officer on the front lines, faces not only the physical threats of battle but also the haunting specter of his own fractured psyche via the code nine neuro-chip. However, a near-defeat in aerial combat grants him a glimmer of hope—a chance to reclaim control over his mind.

With the aid of his cousins and sister, Lara, Amat devises a daring plan to grant salvation to their kin, stranded in the desolate wastelands of Galiza. Together, they covertly gather these forsaken kinsmen to underground militia bases, of which, access is reserved solely for those affiliated with the resistance.

Yet, their actions do not go unnoticed. When the tyrannical Diramal gets wind of Amat's well preserved secrets, the devious villain is forced to relay his findings to an even greater adversary set before our hero. An ancient entity who would seek to use Amat as a means to grow his grand army, forcing the rival foes of the Jinn-hid and the Diramal to work together. This in turn sets off a chain of events that threatens to unravel the delicate balance of power in the cosmic conflict. As rival factions converge and ancient enmities resurface, Amat and his comrades find themselves caught in a web of intrigue and betrayal, where the line between friend and foe becomes increasingly blurred.

Ready to challenge the sinister forces at work? Join Amat Luciph Criptous and his courageous allies in their quest to defend Galiza and uncover the truth behind the cosmic conflict.

After reading The Altered Moon I had to read the next book in the series. I loved the first book which was filled with scifi action, suspense, as well as some political aspects having to do with mind control. I am here to tell you that the 2nd book does not disappoint.

One of the thing that I find most interesting is how the author has literally created a new universe with its' own set of vocabulary and places. I found it very entertaining and loved getting lost in this world as I read through the book. The plot of the 2nd book is more complex than the first one as well, with some interesting plot twists along the way. Even if you're not into scifi I think that you will enjoy both this book as well as the first book in the series, and I can't wait to read the third one.

Without giving too much away the 2nd book continues the story of Amat, leading an army and trying to win a war that seems impossible to beat. At the same time, he is being undermined by the leader of his people who as time goes on turns out to be more sinister than even I had initially thought. I am really excited to see how this story ends when I read the third book.

A lot going on

Right after the bat action is everywhere! Gotta love it. And also really good drama between characters and a really good consequence of someone’s actions. But I will say those, the narration a bit of a struggle. I know the text says it’s from a different POV but I couldn’t help it, it felt like it was the same person. I truly do believe for this many characters it would have benefited if the sorry was in third person. Though I thought Amat’s story would have been entirely different in this book, I did like what journey he went through. Here’s to book 3.
