On the brink of her dream wedding, Shayla Murphy faces a murder mystery that could turn her big day into a big disaster.
Amidst the pre-wedding whirlwind—scenic horseback rides, beachside dinners, poignant rehearsal toasts—Shayla savors the moments, even as she grapples with leaving her old life behind.
When a famous harpist—hired to play at Shayla’s wedding—is murdered, Shayla can’t resist diving into the mystery. Luckily, Shayla’s crew is ready to help. Park ranger Rylie, ex-police officer Amelia, and tech whiz Telly team up, even as suspicions arise within their own ranks.
As if things couldn’t get any worse, the ancient ceremonial harp is stolen right under Shayla’s nose.
With a tricky tangle of suspects—jealous music rivals, a scandalous celebrity couple, and one of Shayla’s closest friends—Shayla must unravel the mystery before it unravels her special day.
Return to Ballywick for a wedding filled with hijinks, heart, and a mystery to die for in this thrilling series finale. Can Shayla craft her own luck and solve the murder before it ruins her marriage?
Stella Bixby is a native Coloradan who loves to snowboard, pluck at the guitar, and play board games with her family. She was once a volunteer firefighter and a park ranger, but now spends most of her time making up stories and trying to figure out what to cook for dinner.
The last book in the series. It was a good one though I do wish Tully was able to stay and be a part of Shayla’s life. Shayla has created a found family that can have many adventures so it’ll be interesting if the character pops up again.
What an incredible finish to a series. For all of us who have come to know Shayla this is the perfect ending for her story. The descriptions of the dresses and events are indeed magical. And to top it off Shayla has to solve a murder and learn the truth about someone she cares for very much. With her usual art of misdirection the killer is a surprise. But with the unwavering support of her new family and her friends, Shayla figures it out and exposes the killer in the most unusual way. It won't be someone you thought it was. It has been fun watching her and Seamus grow and their relationship blossom. And having her closest friends there to solve the latest murder is just perfect. While I am sad to see this group of characters go, it is easy to imagine them living happily ever after. So pour a couple of tea and settle in for one more adventure with Shayla.
I really love this series and this book was wonderful filled with friendship, love and with an excellent investigation as well. Really it's a pleasure reading but i would love to see Telly's case solved so she can stay a side kick to Shayla as well as a dear friend.
Shayla 's wedding is very soon when she come accross a new murder thankfully her friend from both side of atlantic are there to help even if it's from the side. Not only Shayla wants to see that murder solved she is also determined to help Telly who has been recognised as someone else.....Rylie , Amelia and Molly are together to help even if some bickering does happen from time to time as different branchs of justice clash
I can't believe that this is the last book in Shayla and Seamus' love story. Everyone from Shayla's American friends and a thawing of the coldness of of her mother seems to guarantee a perfect wedding. But Nessa, the Harper first has the ancient lucky harp fall on her. Then she is killed in an alleyway. Could it worse? Of course it can. Amidst all this chaotic time the group is treated to luxurious spa days, cocktail parties, hen parties along with sleuthing out clues. But only on her wedding day does it all come together. This is the best of the Shayla Murphy stories and I truly hope Ms. Bixby will give Shayla and Seamus more adventures in the future.
This latest in the series that began with Riley Cooper solving mysteries as a park ranger in Colorado, then moving to follow her best friend, Shayla Murphy, to her new life in Ireland, ends on a happy note, as Shayla and Seamus marry in a fairytale wedding. I can only wonder if the newlyweds will find mysteries and/or murder victims in the Maldives, where they are honeymooning. I hope they just find lots of pretty seashells, so swept away am I on the tide of love and goodwill accompanying this fortunate couple.
Celtic Clue is the fifth book in the Shayla Murphy Mystery series.
With the wedding of the century happening soon. The harpist hired to play at the reception and wedding is murdered. Then the harp itself is stolen. Shayla and her friends are out to solve the murder of the harpist to keep another of Shayla's friends from being falsely accused and going to prison
There is lots of action, and some humor in this one
This is book 5 and the final book in the Shayla Murphy Mystery Series but it shouldn’t be! There needs to be more books! What about Telly??!!! What about Amelia? Rylie? Shayla’s mom and Jonas? There are so many more characters that need their stories told!! Especially Telly and Finn!!! They didn’t get a chance to clear her name for the murder in the US!!
I really like this series. In this book Seamus and Shayla get married. But the week of her wedding her and her friends are running around trying to solve a murder. I truelly enjoyed this book and would recommend this book and the whole Shayla Murphy mysteries series.
Celtic Clue was the perfect ending to this fun cozy mystery series! Shayla is joined by a couple of her friends as she prepares for her wedding day, and I enjoyed their interaction as they solved the mystery together. What a dynamite way to finish a series. I will miss this series; I have enjoyed each of the 5 books. It was a busy book with Shayla and her friends attempting to solve a mystery and the pomp and circumstance of getting married. Recommend reading.
As Shayla prepares for her wedding, there are mysteries to solve. Can she leave it up to Molly and the Irish guard? Not if you’re Shayla. This was a fun series and a happy ending.
This has been a great book for this series. If you love a little mystery, a little romance, great characters and beautiful scenery this is the series for you. Pull up a comfy chair and your favorite beverage and enjoy!!
I love this series. There is always a lot going on in each book and this one is no exception. Despite that the authors clear writing style keeps things from getting confusing. The mystery was well plotted and had a few small twists. The characters are well developed and likable. Highly recommend!
I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.
It’s happening!! Shayla and Seamus are finally tying the knot. Of course, someone ends up dead and Shayla can’t stop herself from investigation. And she gets a little help from her friends. Great ending to this fun series. I’ll miss Shayla and the rest of her friends!!
