TEN Killing my mate might have saved our continent from her psychotic rule, but it destroyed me—all that’s left is an unfeeling husk of an alpha. But my brother Noire isn’t done asking for my help. His mate, Diana, is dying, and the only place that might hold answers is the ancient library at Pengshur, a center of knowledge and healing.
The brilliant, happy-go-lucky female librarian assigned to our group stares at me when she thinks I’m not looking. As days pass and our search for answers reveals dangerous secrets, Onmiel becomes my first real friend and confidante. She burrows her way under my skin, consuming my thoughts and recentering my world around her smile. ONMIEL Underneath Ten’s alpha austerity lies a kindred spirit. But he’s drowning in an ocean of pain and loss. So, I make it my job to make him smile, then laugh. I get him hooked on coffee and books, and friendship follows. As our search for answers grows frantic, Ten becomes far more than just my client. Tender stolen moments turn into playful touches and heated looks until I know there’s more between us. I need him to open his eyes to what’s right in front of him—a second chance at love.
But long-buried secrets from my past return to haunt me, and Ten and I are caught in the crosshairs. Now I don’t know if I’ll ever get a chance to love Ten, or if the fates are conspired against us. Ten is the final book in the Temple Maze series, and ends with a happily ever after!
This series was excellent from start to finish, and it’s bittersweet that it’s over.
📔 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼: Ten by Anna Fury, the third and final novel in the Temple Maze series, an interconnected set of character stories.
📚𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Shifter romance, omegaverse, dark romance, romantic suspense, friends-to-lovers.
📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Ten is a mental mess after killing his mate to save the continent. But when he’s sent on a mission to help find a cure to a strange disease affecting his pack omega, he meets Onmiel, who sees his heart and is determined to help him heal.
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: The final book in this series was, to put it simply, perfect.
Ten was an interesting character from the first book. Smart and empathetic unlike his brothers, he made an interesting addition to the pack. And when he disappeared and then reappeared broken, I knew this book would have all of the feels.
And it truly did. You got to read as friendship healed Ten’s broken hubris, then as he became more of himself. And then as him and Onmiel, who was an excellent sunshine to Ten’s grumpy, battled a new foe.
I’m glad I got tangled up in this series. I’m sad it’s over, but so pleased with how the story ended. Long live Pack Ayala!
🔮 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝗲: Medium to hard. This series I have been describing as almost for intermediate shifter readers. The other creatures take a solid imagination, and the world is a bit complicated. But solid fantasy readers or shifter romance buffs will love it.
What an amazing end to the series! I loved Noire and Jet but I think this one was my favourite. Not just because Ten is such a loveable character but the setting is *chefs kiss* If Pengshur was real it would be at the top of list of destinations to visit. This was every bookworms dream romance. With coffee and books being the language of love. Anna transported me as the reader to such a magical place, it gave me such a warm cozy feeling. This is one that will have a special place in my heart. We follow Ten on his journey to heal mentally and emotionally, meeting some great new characters along the way. Loved it, just loved it!
4,75 stars - a fun and explosive ending to a series I've loved the whole way through! Love love love the worldbuilding and the gang in this series so much, and I'm gonna miss it!
I especially loved where this book took place for the first half, absolutely magical! Obsessed!
This one was easily my favorite in the series, and it was the most satisfying conclusion to the brothers’ story!
What a journey it’s been for Ten. The end of book 2 left us with that huge moment and I was wondering how Anna could write a story that will bring closure to a character who has been through so much. But oh boy, did she deliver.
Onmiel was the breath of fresh air that the series needed with her bright spirit, her perpetual thirst for knowledge, her unquenchable curiosity, and her strong work ethic.
This book gave everything I didn’t know I needed. The characters were hurt and they got all the comfort they needed. There was comedy. A lot of action. Twists and turns that had me constantly guessing. The spice delivered (as always with Anna’s books). And dare I even say I shed a tear close to the end of the book?
I love a book that engages its readers and keeps you on your toes, and this one just hit all the right marks for me.
Strap in for a wild ride when you pick this series up. Mind those TWs and enjoy. 100% recommend for lovers of dark romance.
What a perfect way to end this series! If anyone deserves their HEA, it’s Ten. Anna broke my heart at the end of Jet with what Ten had to do to save his family and everyone else from Rama. This is a heartbreaking but also giggle-inducing journey, with a friendship and then relationship that helps heal two people broken in similar ways.
Ten has always been the more empathic one in his family, and he helps balance it so his ending makes complete sense. I loved seeing the nerdy side of Ten come out once they get to the library. He can’t help but be drawn in by the books, and I love that even though that's what Rama used to lure him in, he doesn’t let that tarnish the joy he gets from learning about the library.
Onmiel is a big ball of sunshine, sass, brains, and empathy it's impossible not to fall in love with her. She is my favorite FMC in the series, probably because she resembles my disposition. Like Ten, she is a giant nerd and is haunted by a death in her past. Her method of dealing with it was to give herself a prisoner tattoo. I love how much she cares and how honest she is with everyone.
Anna delivers spice that weaves perfectly into the story and can even have laugh-out-loud moments. My favorite is a moment where Ten absolutely should have knocked.
The Temple Maze series is an excellent read if you enjoy darker PNR stories, but I can’t recommend it enough!
A happily ever after but in such a contrived way, it was disappointing.
Contrary to the other reviews, I liked Noire the best and thought the series got progressively worse. The author worked so hard to get us to understand and appreciate Noire’s perspective, then spent two books trashing him. It took me out of the book every time someone who was supposed to love him explained what an unreasonable, selfish asshole he was.
I also dislike when series have character development stop once a couple’s book is done. The gang was all here for this book but they didn’t do much other than banter, rage and just plain exist. Characters I liked in the other books were just props to move the main story ahead.
The part in the Tempang had promise but devolved into a simplistic fairytale with a lot of sx thrown in. Or maybe like a superhero movie. This was disappointing after all the complexity in the maze.
If I didn’t want closure, I would have DNF’d. With that said, most loose ends were tied up.
If you’ve been looking forward to Tenebris’ story, you may enjoy parts of this. If you’re on the fence on whether to buy, skip it. Wave your magic wand and pick your own fairy tale ending. It will probably be better.
I felt for Ten after the cliffhanger ending in book two. I could not wait to read his story. Anna did not disappoint with this book. Ten does get his HEA (finally) but not before going through another trial that will test him. Luckily, this time he is joined by his brothers, Noire, and Jet and their mates Arliss, Ascelin, and Diana.
Onmiel is the newest addition to this group. I loved her a lot. The fact that she had not watched the maze games and therefore was not afraid of the group was refreshing. It allowed her to get to know everyone for their "real" selves.
The romance between Ten and Onmiel is a very slow burn. Yet, after what Ten went through previously in the prior book, I appreciated that the tone of these two's relationship was a slow burn. I felt all of the emotions that Ten was experiencing. This book really made me fall for him even more. In fact, he may be my favorite of the three brothers.
Fans of this trilogy will love this final book. I can guarantee that they will fall in love with Ten as much as I did. This book is a perfect "Ten"!
What an amazing finale! Ten is one of those characters you have been rooting for from the start and every time he gets knocked down you pray he gets back up. Ten is obviously struggling through this book with the loss of his mate and everything she put everyone through. In comes Onmiel, who is just a star in this book. She brings him back to life, offering him genuine friendship. Onmiel has her own set of past regrets that haunt her, but with Ten and the Ayala pack they tackle them together. The coffee and AMAZING library are a definite plus too. Seriously, the library is a book lover's dream come true. I really, really hope this isn't the final book in this world because I love Lombornei and its unique monsters.
If you enjoyed Maze Runner, but wish it had dark romance themes, more monsters, and an pack of hot alpha wolf shifters – then you need to read Temple Maze series immediately.
Each book in this trilogy follows one of the alpha brothers and their individual romantic story, while being part of an overall, much larger, plot. This story has so much to love: interesting monsters and other beings, a fight against evil to save the world, humor, and really great characters that you get to meet very INTIMATELY throughout the trilogy. I loved this series, and definitely think it deserves more hype! (Make you sure you check trigger warnings on this one, it does have some darker themes!)
This book is not what I thought it would be. It’s way better! Ten is such an intricate character and I desperately wanted him to find his happy ending from the first page and boy… what a journey he had to travel to find it! Miel is sweet, horny and too intelligent for her own good! and both are drawn to each other. They are a balm for each other soul. So much happens in this story. There are so many twists and turns. This story is such a good read and I got invested in the characters and truly didn’t want it to end as it was so enjoyable. I think this is Anna’s best book yet! Amazing!
Wow. I always knew Ten would be my favourite of this series. But this book had such an unpredictable, magical, monstrous ending. I love the character development and the friends to lovers trope. It was like sitting with old friends and binging where they are now.
Omniel is a strong, bubbly nerd with a heart of gold. This, paired with Ten's gentle but protective nature, is just pure bliss to read.
Well done, Anna Fury. Your work is always a favourite of mine, but this series was just beautiful. (Darkish, check your triggers).

Ten has lived his life without choice....even the pain he is feeling is due to a mate he didn't choose. This is definitely not where I saw Tens story going when we first met him in book one....but it was a great ride.
The more we learned about Onmiel and her friendship grew with Ten you could tell the instant ner connection. The friendship was the foundation Ten needed for it to grow into something more.
An oh that twist...did it have me possibly shedding some tears. I won't tell. Overall this series is a must read.
The conclusion of this trilogy threw me for a loop. And I loved it. This book follows the younger brother, Tenebris, as he struggles to reconcile the mate he has with the shifter she was. It leaves him heartbroken and lost. Tired. Done with life. But a small woman from a library brings him out of his grief by being her witty, quirky self. Onmiel is my favorite FMC in this series. She is absolutely fantastic. As they both try to find a cure for Diana, it leads them back to the Tempang forest where Onmiel has to face the consequences of her actions.

First off, I truly believe that chosen mates is a superior trope than fated mates (but I'm am still a sucker for fated mates) and this has been my fave story in this series!
I wanted to protect baby Ten but I was so excited to see him grow and mature (and get all smexy and stuff). Omniel could not have been a better fit for Ten, even with her hidden past. One sexy nerd + One sexy nerdy alpha = one helluva spicy romance book.
Omg this was my favorite one out of this series! I loved the plot, there was no dull moment in the book. I've always liked Ten and this book made me like him even more. Onmeil was also precious, she's my fav FMC out of all the three women.
The best book in the series and the most perfect ending. I've been #TeamTen from the beginning and my heart broke for him at the end of book 2. He got the happy ending he deserved though. The lovely Anna Fury did right by him. What she also did was have me bawling my eyes out!! Nothing like bringing an Alpha to his knees! This book, and the whole series, reinforce my love for PNR. It's what first got me into reading many years ago and will always be my first love in the world of romance. If you haven't read this series yet, I 100% recommend that you do! I promise you'll find this author's imagination just as fascinating as I do!
One of the best books I've read all year. I didn't think the series could get better, but then this book came out. I'm so happy to see Ten have the happy ending he deserves.
Soooo good! I devoured this book in just over a day. The further I got into it the more invested I became in their story. The grumpy / sunshine vibes were perfection and the library setting was amazing. I want to visit that library so badly! Then when they went on their quest it ramped up even more leading to a culmination which just fit the story and the series perfectly.
The heat and love radiated from the pages. I loved the dark bits, I loved the light parts and the banter and everything in between.
This series caught me from book 1 and this one was no exception. It felt like an ending to the series, but I hope there’s more to come, there’s so many other stories that can be told.
I would 100% recommend this series (and this author’s other book worlds too!)
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This book should be a Ten..without the buts. At least of the one-T variety.
Ten is still reeling from the events of Books One and Two. He had been brainwashed by his supposed mate, and he eventually had to sacrifice her to save everyone else. Now he must save his brother's mate, and the answer lies in an old library..and its keeper Onmiel.
Jet will always hold a special place in my heart, but Ten stole my heart. Ten's arc over the three books was so fun and amazing to read about, and I love that in the third leg, Onmiel joins him in the journey. Their development from strangers to friends to lovers was a slow burn that was worth the wait, and our reward is a spicy prize. The spice was not as intense as the previous books -- Jet definitely took that gold medal -- but the focus here is the depth of their relationship supported by the individual growth of these main characters.
We also get a healthy side helping of suspense, which was a pleasant surprise.
This read can be a standalone, but I promise you, the experience will be so much richer when you read all three books in the series.
** I am voluntarily reviewing an advance copy of this book. Thank you to Anna Fury for providing an ARC. **
The final book in the Temple Maze series by @annafuryauthor. This book ticks ALL the boxes and then some. Emotional Damage but worth it in the end. Ten and Miel are two worlds colliding and nothing is stopping that train. The spice is Thai spicy, you just may have to take a shower 🚿.
