When Willa Delvaux pictured finding her familiar, she thought they might be a kitten or a bunny, not a human! And certainly not James Humphrey, a devastatingly handsome law student who wants absolutely nothing to do with her.
James is the complete opposite of her. Where Willa is bright and gentle, he's gruff and broody. And yet Willa can't help but fall for him. As a culinary witch, Willa tries to melt James' heart with her delicious pumpkin pies and rich, comforting coffee.
All the while, James is completely baffled. He doesn't understand why this woman has managed to stir warm feelings in his cold heart. Though he tries to resist and avoid her, she's everywhere, tempting him with her sweet pies, adorable smile and honeyed words.
Amid the cozy embrace of a New England college town, Willa must tempt James into accepting their bond, not only to preserve her magic but to keep her naive heart from breaking. This is a cute and quick read . It's a Grumpy x Sunshine steamy new adult romance where fall meets magic and a happily ever after is guaranteed.
This had some nice fall and Halloween vibes. However, the author tried to do grumpy x sunshine, but the hero was just an ass. The way he treated her the whole book was horrible. The things he said after they had sex were even worse and unforgivable.
It was short, the character development was ok, and the plot wasn't too bad. There isn't much to say since there wasn't much to it, but I got through it so fast. Wasn't the worst.

Cute quick read, so if that’s what you’re looking for then this is for you! It fits the upcoming fall/halloween season which is lovely! The book revolves around two people, Willa & James. Willa is a witch and James is her familiar, but he doesn’t know it yet.
The book itself is less than 100 pages, so things progress quickly due to how short the story is. Willa is found falling for her familiar who couldn’t care less for her. Then James realizes that the ache he’s feeling in his chest is missing Willa and he learns to let her in.
He can be an ABSOLUTE ass to Willa and that’s hard to like. I feel like if the author was trying for “grumpy sunshine” romance, they could have dialed back the hate. James pushes a lot of his negativity onto her, especially after being intimate and that was not cool. The positive is he owns up to his shit in the end.
Overall the story is cute and sweet, very spicy in some scenes of that’s what you’re looking for! A good little start to the season and holidays coming up. 😊🍁

This screamed fall! It had my favorite troupe in it. Grumpy x Sunshine. It wasn’t the BEST book i’ve ever read but it was amazing fall read!
The book is about Willa who is a witch who is currently in college. She loves baking more than anything specifically Pumpkin Pie. She meets James who is a quiet, loner guy who doesn’t really have many friends. He’s definitely grumpy (obviously).
Willa is instantly attractive to him and is very sure that he is her familiar (soulmate pretty much) and does everything she can to get close to him.
He’s pushed her away, hurt her feelings but deep down he was in love with her but couldn’t accept it until one day, he broke her heart. Taking the time to give Willa space due to his hurtful choice of words, he realizes that he is in fact in love with her and will do just about anything to get her back.
What did I dislike about this book?: Nothing.

3/5 stars✨ A Witch's Pumpkin Spice Love was a short and cute story about a Witch and her familiar, something similar to a soulmate. It was incredibly easy to read and the format of the writing was refreshing. I feel like this book was similar to a wattpad story where you're just following the character and seeing what they're doing and saying. There's little development to the characters, it's simply "she did x" and "he said x." We do get to listen in on our character's thoughts but it seemed like the book itself was fast paced. I enjoyed reading it, though I was caught off guard from the spice, but hey can't complain LOL.
Would I recommend this book? Yes if you're into fall and an easy & quick read, but beware that it might be one's cup of tea.
i would not have forgiven him. the way he treated her was horrible. it tried to make him seem endearing and like a brooding mysterious guy but he just came off as an asshole and extremely unlikable. the spice was like unnecessary, the first time it made sense but after what he said to her the morning after, biiitch. i can’t. no no.
i get it was a short story but it was too fast paced to the point where things happened out of nowhere and they weren’t explained. like they just happened because it was destined to happen or it was supposed to.
i liked the story but the execution, not great. gemma, sis, this had so much potential and the ball was dropped.
Ok Willa super cute and the crush she has on James is cute as well.
The sex scenes were a mess the wording goes completely off story line it's a bit too much bit raunchy or anything more in the Honey and Baby like it didn't belong . It just wasn't doing it for me.
The instant crudeness threw me off as well but I get it with the story line.
Now here's what lacked I was hoping for more magic there really wasn't any I wanted a witch witch story and it was like 2% of the story.
Other than that it was a good read and I will definitely read more from this author
I expected this to be a cute lil romance but was definitely surprised when it turned spicy👀 this book was so good and it was almost a 5 star for me until she said “feeling the head of his thick cock nudge her petals.” That gave me the ick because who tf calls it petals🤣😅😭 this was so good though! Loved reading as Willa and her familiar James fall in love! Grumpy vs sunshine. I loved seeing James open up to Willa and admit he loved her😩
: ̗̀➛ grumpy x sunshine : ̗̀➛ cosy fall witchy novella : ̗̀➛ 2/5 🌶️

James went from quiet, shy and a little distant to absolute jerk in less then a heartbeat and I’m not sure there were enough pages for him to grovel his way back…
This book was good I just didn't like How It Was Written in third person, I prefer books written in one of the characters point of views. The story itself was cute I felt like it could have used a little more detail but overall it wasn't bad. If you want a short little romance story this would be for you, it's a quick read.
