Right Nice Read

I am not, for the most part, a reader of westerns. But every once in a while, I need a break from what normally read, and I dive into a good ol' cowboy tale. I selected "Dakota Kill" because -- well -- I live in one of the Dakotas. I figured it had to be good. And it was. I liked Mark Talbot, the protaginist. His character was believable. In fact, I really liked all the characters. The story moves along, the descriptions of locations were thorough and painted pictures I could see in my mind's eye.
There were some silly typos that any good editor could find. But those little boo-boos didn't bother me -- much. This is a nice read.

Excellent Western

This really entertaining western has a solid MC, a well written storyline, and plenty of action. The bleak Dakota winter presents an excellent setting for the carnage that is central to the story. Jacy is fine as a somewhat surly romantic foil. All in all, it's an excellent western novel.

Okay

The story was just okay. Too much cursing. I prefer to read books by R O Lane, C J Petit, Louis La' Amour, etc. I've read quite a few Peter Brandvold books on Kindle unlimited. This book wasn't worth the extra cost.

Great story

Was a very well written story of a wandering cowboy come home hoping for peace. But finding all had changed along with the murder of his brother. Then finding a lady he knew from his young years. Who saved his life and loved him very much.
