This book is like one of those movies you watch for a break to feel cozy with a warm cup of tea in front of the fire during the holidays.
But unfortunately, this book was not for me.

------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the story of Mel, a girl who lives in a magical town and who tries to help her beloved Aunt Dee while a boy who does not believe in magic tries to find out more about this place and if he can really believe in magic. especially since the Christmas season seems to be much more special in Garland.

This is a story that I feel is quite typical of the time, a Christmas romance with touches of magic that is quite tender and fun. The author manages to give the book an entertaining plot that keeps you hooked following the events of the protagonists and the fun Aunt Dee. , a point in its favor is that despite being a typical Christmas story, the author manages to give it her personal touch, making it quite unique.

As for the characters, I loved them, they are well developed and although I am not used to instalove I thought they looked very good in this story, in addition the secondary characters are also very fun and although they are not developed as much they do contribute enough to get attached to them. they.

Overall a quick and easy book to read, a very entertaining magical romance perfect for the time.

I am very grateful to the author and Booktasters for sending the digital book for this collaboration, I really enjoyed it.

My Initial Thoughts

I was looking forward to the idea of this, with the magic realism and the festive links, I thought it would be a great little festive read. I was instantly drawn into the characters and wanted to know more about their worlds and origins. I also found myself loving the idea of Garland Falls and the community spirit it upheld throughout the storyline.

Plot

The plot for me was kind of hit and miss, it's there but I personally found it lacking and pushed into the background a bit. It all felt very mundane with no real oomph so to speak. I felt like we was just following Connor and Mel around, not really knowing all that much about them, then suddenly they are more than what they was, it just frustrated me a bit, as I felt like a lot more could have been added to the characters personalities, history and more about the kingdoms.

Characters

I liked the characters, don't get me wrong, I just wanted more.

Recommend

Personally this is not a book I would recommend.

Magical realism with the touch of Christmas spirit.

Overall Wrap up

I think this book certainly had the potential to be so much more if it had been a bit longer, with more dedication to the characters themselves and the plot flowing throughout. That being said I did manage to read the full book it just missed the mark for me and was lacking that something to get it past just ok.

I received a copy for a review, so here we go!
I was expecting a regular Christmas romance so the magic aspect was a cute surprise. The romance itself between Mel and Conner was a little too insta-love but worked with the magic aspect I guess. Would have liked more information on why Conners mom after knowingly marrying into magic was so against it but it was just left a mystery. The side characters family members and towns folk were all pretty likeable and fun in their own ways (aside from Conner and Michaels mom). In all was a cute, fast, easy Christmas read!

Mistletoe Magic has completely changed my perspective on fantasy books. As someone who was never really drawn to the genre, I stumbled upon this hidden gem and was instantly captivated. The intriguing blurb caught my attention, but it was the storyline itself that truly made me yearn for more.
What sets Mistletoe Magic apart is its ability to seamlessly blend together all the elements that make a book truly enchanting. The growth of some characters and their willingness to accept and learn from their mistakes adds depth and relatability that are often lacking in similar works.
The way this book blends fantasy with an engaging plotline is nothing short of magic. It's as if every page holds a new surprise, keeping me hooked from start to finish. If you're looking for a captivating read with beautifully intertwined elements, Mistletoe Magic is an absolute must-read!

First things first – major shoutout to Booktasters for hooking me up with the 'ARC' and letting me connect with the author. Now, let's spill the tea in this review! Mistletoe Magic isn't just your regular Christmas romance – oh no, it's Christmas romance on steroids with a sprinkle of fairytale magic. Yup, you heard it right! Initially, I might've misjudged it as your typical 'Christmas magic miracle' scenario, but boy, was I in for a surprise! The magic element kicked in, changing the whole vibe and drawing me into something refreshingly enchanting.

What sets this book apart is its knack for making a full-fledged adult like me believe in the beauty of magic and the genuine kindness of people. It's like I'm getting 'Good Witch' vibes, with the small magical town radiating Middleton vibes. Middleton may not be magical, but Garland Falls, it's as captivating, especially during Christmas. The community engagement steals the show, breaking away from the individuality notion and pulling me into the narrative.

Now, let's talk protagonists – love them both, Melissa and Conner truly steals the show and I love the small little concept of Hallmark vibes too. Although Katherine, girl, you might have annoyed me a tad. Mel and Conner, on the other hand, exude Christmas charm from start to finish, making the plot even more engaging. Every character has depth, making the story a hidden gem that more people should uncover.

But, truth time, my reading journey hit a few bumps. I'm all for a fast-paced story, but the chemistry lacked that smooth intertwining I expected. Personal opinion alert – the third-person point of view didn't quite hit the mark. It held back the potential for a more poignant narrative, missing the chance to dive deep into the characters' emotions and thoughts.

Despite these hiccups, Mistletoe Magic gets a solid 4 stars from me – a definite must-read

"You didn't have to wait long for me, did you?" she said as she held him. "No. I knew you would find me when you were ready.

I love that phrase and I think it is very accurate in your case.

Garland Falls has magic and it's fading.
They need help and this comes from a non-believer in magic.
Mel, our handyman, has a to-do list that keeps growing and if Auntie thinks Conner is the solution, she'll take care of it. With the help of spiders, fairies, this charming town and of course the magic of mistletoe.

Special mention to Aunt Dee, she is to blame for all the relationships in this book.

PS: I wish it had lasted a little longer.

°°°°°

"No tenías que esperar mucho por mí, ¿verdad?" dijo mientras lo sostenía. "No.

Mistletoe Magic has undeniably transformed my outlook on fantasy literature. Despite not initially gravitating towards the genre, I stumbled upon this hidden gem and found myself immediately captivated. While the intriguing blurb initially piqued my interest, it was the narrative itself that truly ignited my desire for more.

What distinguishes Mistletoe Magic is its remarkable ability to seamlessly weave together all the essential elements that contribute to the enchantment of a book. The growth exhibited by certain characters, coupled with their willingness to acknowledge and learn from their mistakes, imparts a level of depth and relatability often absent in comparable works.

The novel's unique allure lies in its adept fusion of fantasy with a compelling plotline, creating an almost magical reading experience. It feels as though every turn of the page brings forth a new surprise, ensuring that I remained completely engrossed from the opening chapter to the final page. For anyone seeking a spellbinding read that intricately interlaces various elements, Mistletoe Magic undoubtedly stands as an absolute must-read for a warm and cozy holiday!

What a charming Christmas read. Set in the magical town of Garland Falls, and it’s literally is a magical town, the shortage of mistletoe is causing a series of unfortunate events. deeWrners guest house seems to be suffering more than most, so she calls upon Conner Andrew’s to come to the rescue. Conner doesn’t believe in magic, but as the town weaves her magic he begins to change his mind for more than one reason. Together with Dee’s niece Mel, they work to restore harmony to the small town.
If you’ve ever watched the Evergreen films, Garland Falls is Evergreen but with magic. This is just a charming Christmas read and would make a feel good Christmas film in its own right

Mistletoe magic

This story delves into the enchanting realm of magic, inviting readers to unleash their imaginations and witness the captivating presence of magic in our world. The delightful bond between Conner and Melissa adds a charming touch. The narrative takes an intriguing turn as someone initially skeptical of magic discovers their own magical abilities, ultimately bringing enchantment to Garland Falls, even reaching the Warner Bed and Breakfast.
Annette, I commend your efforts, but I have reservations about the book's beginning, which involves a segment from later in the story.
In summary Annette, I enjoyed your work and I love it.
Well done.

Christmas, a small town, romance, finding family, a little sprinkle of mystery, and a touch of magic are perfect reads for this season. I indulged in this book as much as I wanted, and it was a great decision I made.

Garland Falls is the perfect place I want to live with my family. How I wish I could. This place also consists of interesting and loveable people, which I really liked.

It is curious to me about the back story of Katherine and her husband, though it has already been slightly told.

All in all, I enjoyed reading this, and I thank you again to booktasters for providing the copy.

I just finished this book and tbh the plot was not that good, the writer did not talk about the story enough i mean she wasted 92 page just talkig about something that could be condensed into 5-10 pages and after that everything were so misunderstood we did not know why conners mom hated the magic and why their dad did loved her and also what was his brothers magic and she did even talked about the other charachters we only knew their names not their story so i think this book could be a short story about 20-30 pages , the two stars are for magic because i love magic

a really cute christmas tale that's perfect to read during the winter season! one potential flaw of the book is that the plot is rather predictable and follows a familiar story arc. the story may not be as engaging for readers who have read similar stories before - but for people like me, who don't usually read lots of romance novels, it's an amazing book and light on the brain as well with not too many confusing plotlines lol! great book, definitely one of the best i've read recently 🥹💕

Mistletoe Magic is not your everyday Christmas romance book, when I picked it up I didn't expect the magic to be literal but I enjoyed that about it.
It started out as a slow read for me but I really enjoyed getting into it.
