This book has everything. A lot of action and suspense that has you at the edge of your seat. A lot of banter and fun interactions. Plus don't forget, a hot, driven, cocky but good hearted guy that rambles when he is nervous. That makes Cash the sweetest! And his patience and understanding towards Luna's secrets is just what she needs to stop running.
With hard work and encouraging her passion Cash aims to win her trust, but things are not easy for Luna. When opportunity never knocks on her door, she finds herself grabbing it. But a lifetime of just taking has her digging herself deep in trouble. And when her past catches up to her, she doesn't even need to ask. Cash will become her champion. And it's not one sided either. He desperately needs her help too. After tragically loosing his hero, it seems she is the only one that can bring light to his darkness and control his self destructive tendencies. It's a good thing they meet. Plus we get to read pretty hot scenes. And how can you not swoon for a charming character like Cash?

Wow let's buckle up and get ready for a ride filled with action, suspense, amazing chemistry, over the top energy and sexually charged banter. Luna is an adrenaline junkie, she gets that high with illegal street racing and borrowing cars to do it! She grew up in the foster system and has seen more that her share of bad situations and disappointment. She has learned that the only one in the world she can depend and trust is the gal in the mirror. Yes she has made some poor choices and really bad decisions and is ready to break clean. It is just her luck that her last race she just may have crossed a dangerous man and now she is on the run looking in the rear view mirror at every turn.
Cash is on top of the world or so it seems. He is a talented race car driver but he has so much emotional baggage from a tragic loss. His dreams haunt him and no amount of women, cars and money can make it better...until her.

Forget the NOS, this Junkie uses straight up emotion to charge my heart...
I never know which version of JD Hollyfield that I like best... that RomCom author that mixes heat and humor like a fun dance or the Junkie version, the one that brings the suspense and heat like they're racing for 6 figures. Currently the Junkie version is inching ahead. Junkie had everything that makes me cruise straight through to the end... suspense, danger, twists and turns like you're on a back country road, it's emotionally capricious, and as hot as a man in a flame-retardent suit can handle!
I gotta just add in that Cash and his awkward, adorable creepiness had me completely charmed. I was just giddy every single time he lost focus!! Anyway... Given that this is part of the Driven series by K. Bromberg, I'm sure there are some characters that we've met in other books... possibly from other authors, maybe some crossovers. I have no idea though, I've never read any of the Driven series or books created in the spin off besides this one. I'm ok that. I enjoyed Junkie like it was a standalone.

10++++++ Stars
It's hard to come up with the words when you love a book so much that it just leaves you speechless. J.D. Hollyfield nailed it with this story! It was fast-paced, filled with energy, intriguing, and just simply amazing. This is a story that had everything...the drama, suspense, humor, chemistry, and very steamy! One of my favorite things this author did was to add her humor to the story. The banter was so funny! I just loved the characters and the story they had to tell. Everything worked so well together and fit into place perfectly. This is probably one of the most well rounded stories I have read in a long time. It just had everything that I love in a story! It was a hard one to put down. I highly recommend this story!!! It's a 2020 favorite of mine!

***4 ‘Creepster’ Stars***
Talk about an adrenaline rush...and that was just in the first chapter. But the rest of this book had me grinning like a fool as Luna and Chase danced around each other and found that they were both exactly what they never knew they needed.
I ended up loving Luna and Cash. Luna is guarded and street smart with a sassy mouth and is always on guard. Cash on the outside doesn’t always match the Cash on the inside. He’s cocky, goofy and a little broken, but when he’s all in, he’s all in.
Their journey to their HEA was a lot of fun. Their first collision was by no means a ‘meet-cute’ but it totally set the stage for a highly surprising, yet enjoyable, courtship. Luna and Cash just fit together, even their broken pieces fit. I loved their bantering and just how well they flowed when they were together, even when they tried their hardest to keep the other at arm’s length.
Let me admit right now that I have not read any of the books in the actual driven series, so, if you are like me, you can dive in here and not be lost at all, but we do meet a few of the characters in said series and you may want to after ~ I know my interest is peaked.
With that out of the way, lemme say that this baby packs a punch. There are triggers, there are situations that may make you uncomfortable, but it all necessary and I liked how it all worked out in the end.

Luna is an adrenaline junkie. She's a thief but stealing doesn't feed her addiction, no, only the thrill of the race does that. But she has to steal now that she's lost everything. Unfortunately for her, she stole from the wrong man and now he's coming for her. That's why she tries so hard to keep the hot cocky racer, Cash, at arm's length. But he's not having it even as he steels his own heart against falling for the sassy, beautiful racer determined to make him lose any good sense he still has.

I absolutely loved how these two broken people find that their broken pieces fit perfectly with each other. There's quite a bit of action, racing and otherwise, the passion between Luna and Cash is positively smokin hot, and the epilogue is the cutest, sweetest epilogue, ever.

The highs of dominating the racetrack. There’s never been anything I wanted more than to win. Until her. Buckle up ladies you are in for a crazy and wild ride hold on tight. I have to say this book blew me away, I went in blind and so glad I did. Luna and Cash's story will have you on the edge of your seat. It's a page turner from start to finish so many twist and turns it will have your head reeling. Luna has had a poor start in life all she want's to do is race, just to prove too everyone she has what it takes, but all that changes when she meets Cash Huntington. Cash Huntington has his own story to tell its not all pretty it's sad and so painful but he will never tell anyone how he feels until Luna she does something to him no one has ever done before feel. It's sad heartwarming and will have you falling in love with him so hard and fast. I'm not going to give to much away as you really need to read this book JD Hollyfield kicked arse in this book big time, she gave you two fantastic characters to fall in love with, and some old ones too and what an amazing book I have to say. Its a must read if you loved the driven series then hop on board and enjoy the crazy ride.

I’ve always loved JD Holleyfield’s and her addicting RomCom’s, but now I have seen a whole new side open up and I can’t wait for more!! Junkie is a book I would recommend to anyone and everyone. It has suspense. It has adrenaline. It has a roller coaster of emotions.. It even has a little of Holleyfield’s unique comedy....but best of all it has the romance we all love. The banter between Cash and Luna is addictive and sweet. If you love racing. If you love romance—heck even if you don’t! Junkie is the book for you! I can’t wait to see what Holleyfield will bring us next! Her books just keep getting better and better with each one she delivers!

Junkie is a fast-paced romance that I couldn’t get enough of. JD Hollyfield wrote one badass of a heroine in Luna Monroe. She's fierce, commanding, and loves racing. Growing up on her own has made her tough. When she finds herself in trouble, she has to move and finds herself a place to live. She then gets a volunteer position at a racetrack and meets Cash. He is cocky and charming. What's not to love 😉⠀

Luna and Cash go from being enemies to lovers. They have so much in common yet their relationship is unexpected. I liked that it gave me the nostalgia of being in the Colton Donovan 'Driven' world. It was so fitting for K. Bromberg's driven world.
Both of these characters have strong and independent personalities and I enjoyed getting to see a vulnerable side. Yes, they are facing their own fears and demons but when they are together their walls come down. Luna and Cash have such a unique relationship and I loved everything about this book.

‘The freefall into depression and regret is hard and ugly - especially when there's no one at the bottom to catch you.’
This book really was great. I went in not having read the Driven series by K. Bromberg, so I was unsure as to how much I would enjoy and understand this book. The fact that I had not read anything within this universe before didn’t hinder my reading experience at all! This is also the first book I’ve read by J.D. Hollyfield that wasn’t co-written and I really enjoyed her style of writing.
Cash Huntington is charming, funny and cheeky and I really loved him. From the get go he was a great character and I found myself falling for him even in the beginning. He definitely has his demons, trying to come to terms with what happened to his brother a year ago and trying to prepare for the biggest race of his career.
Luna Monroe is a great FMC and I really loved her spunk and her attitude towards everybody she encountered; especially Cash. After making a major mistake and witnessing something that she shouldn’t have, Luna is attempting to escape from her past and start fresh. But danger isn’t far away.
The romance here was fresh and real. The two of them had to learn to trust one another first and watching that journey unfold was really great. I totally recommend this book if you want a lighthearted romance that also tackles some realistic things such as grief while also having some darker elements thrown in. So yeah, this is just what I needed.

JD Hollyfield keeps blowing my mind. I pick up a book thinking I'm getting one thing and then BAM she throws in a ton of suspense, enough chemistry to keep things on edge, and the banter we've all come to know and love.
There's drama.
There's angst.
There are fast cars and faster women.
But Luna and Cash have the kind of chemistry you want in real life. The back-and-forth, the push-and-pull, the I NEED YOU RIGHT NOW.
This is a great story built into the Driven world. I am still pumped from reading this one.

As soon as I saw this blurb I knew I wanted to read it and after reading it I can say I wasn’t disappointed.
Luna and Cash.. gah these two are awesome. Both are speed freaks and don’t expect their lives to collide the way it does. The banter between these two are great and I found them both very likeable.
The storyline is brilliant and I felt my foot was on the accelerator as I read it so quickly.
Although I haven’t read the Driven series I totally loved this story and can’t wait to read more.

Luna & Cash’s story captivated me from the first page to the last! I loved the suspense beyond words.
Luna & Cash had great banter and chemistry! I couldn’t flip the pages fast enough. I couldn’t get enough of Luna & Cash and their story.

Wow! What a ride! It's been a while since a book has consumed my attention so much! I could not put this book down, except you know to use the bathroom and feed my kid...but you know adulting....This story is fast paced and full of adrenaline from front to back. Even the slower story development sections are so full of detail, yet at the same time leave you with those questions in the back of your mind wondering whats going to happen or what turn its going to take. J.D takes you fluidly through Luna's story and Cash hits you out of nowhere. I did not seem him coming! I'm really glad that I didn't read any blurbs or spoilers for this book because going in blind was the best way for me to experience it!
Luna has has a rough upbringing and gotten herself into trouble...just when she thinks shes successfully run away from it and is in the clear, trouble in the form of a hot, cocky racing superstar literally tackles her, throwing her plans for escape to the wind. But can we all just run away and pretend our problems wont catch back up to us?

Must read book if you are a Driven fan by K. Bromberg...Hell even if you have never read that series you are going to LOVE LOVE Junkie!!! What an action packed, HAWT as shit read!! I definitely will be hunting down an autographed copy ASAP!! Lol Junkie needs to be on my shelfie for sure!! 🏁🖤

First of all loved that the Driven World books are being continued by other authors. Jessica did great on this book. It kept my interest throughout the whole book. I couldn't put it down, it was a page turner for me. Luna is a girl that comes from nothing and loves to race cars. She ends up running away from her hometown and into a group home that is involved with race car driving. She meets Cash while having to do some volunteer work through the group home she in and it just goes from there.

You knew this book was special from the first page, it’s a story that takes your breath away and stays with you long after the final words have been read. This is the first book I have read by this author and I’m really left wondering why she hasn’t crossed by radar before now, I will certainly be looking up other works by the very talented Ms Hollyfield.
I’m not sure how this author managed to add humour to a story that’s full of drama, suspense and emotion without taking anything away from the plot and the characters but this author managed to weave every emotion with her words, she painted a picture with her beautifully written story and I was captivated from the first page to the last line. This book touched me on so many levels, I laughed at the witty banter, I swooned at the sizzling chemistry, I sighed and shed at a tear at the emotional story and I fell hard and fast for the characters. This is certainly one of the best reads of 2020 and I highly recommend you one click this gem.

Soooo good bring back in the Driven World!
Makes me want to start with book 1 and reacquaint myself with Colton & Rylee! Love it!
Cash... hot young racer who’s overcoming his own tragedy. His inner dialogue was hilarious...
Luna.... grew up in foster care, doing what she can to get by witnesses a horrid tragedy and runs... smack into Cash’s racing world!

WOW just WOW!!!! I'm not even sure how to write this review because this book has left me at a complete loss as to how to express how great it really was in words. I have been a fan of J.D.'s for quite some time now and have enjoyed every one of her books that I have read but this one is on a whole different level. I never knew I liked racing books and I think she made me fall in love with them and now I can't wait to read more (including Driven). She did such an amazing job of making the main characters-Luna and Cash come to life for me that I felt like I really got to know them and I felt things deep in my own body. Of course in true fashion she made me laugh, made me tear up and frustrated me to no end with these two characters. Talk about angst...this book has it and then some more. It also really does have a little bit of everything...humor (laugh out loud funny), sass and snark are plenty with Luna around as well as the warm fuzzies and some steam to spice up your reading, but not too much to make you roll your eyes. If you've never read a book by this author before, do yourself a favor and read this one, if you're a long time fan, make sure you read this one ASAP because I think it's her best work yet!!!!!!

This is the perfect addition to the Driven World but can also make a great standalone if you haven’t read any of K. Bromberg’s books. It has all the comedy I love from JD as well as her darker side with some high energy action. There’s some emotion involved too so don’t think you can escape it! You don’t want to miss some moments that you won’t see coming! I loved getting to visit with Becks and Jackson, some of K. Bromberg’s characters, and meet the new ones that JD Has created. She did a great job of blending the two worlds together!!

Wow oh wow!! This is an author that never fails to give me a story I can get lost in no matter the genre; and this heart pounding book is no different. It brought me from zero to sixty in 2.5 seconds and didn’t slow down the whole time. Cash and Luna were an wildly intense couple that had me rooting from them since page one...I really wish they were real people because Luna would totally be my BFF!

I couldn’t put this one down! This is my first book in the Driven world, so it is definitely a great standalone, but has intrigued me to read more in this racing world! Junkie by the super talented J. D. Hollyfield is set in K. Bromberg's Driven World and let me tell you, I was addicted from the start! The pacing, the tension, the drama, the chemistry, all of it added up to an irresistible recipe and I was HOOKED!
Luna had me charmed! She might not be wired like most, but that just makes her all the more endearing to me. Her experience of adrenaline flooded my veins as I lived each experience with her. She's world weary yet young, and that dichotomy just got to me, really making me invested in her character.
And then we have Cash. He's a bumbling, attractive mess, and I loved all the different sides of him, from being tongue tied, to being confident, to being a charmer, and what a charmer he can be when he doesn't even try hard, to just being an all round interesting guy!
Their chemistry is instantaneous and I loved watching it develop, especially as it was fought against, ignored, realized, ignored, and did I say fought against? But, it was combustible, and sizzled, like the scorch marks left after a tire peel.
This story has it all! It has action, it has drama, it has chemistry, it has tension, it has near misses, it has deep feeling, it hits you in the feels and takes you on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride of a journey that you'll be begging to go around on again. Junkie was the fix I was looking for and I devoured it in one sitting, and I know it'll lure you in too, promise!

She hasn’t had much during her childhood; no home, nor people to show her the right paths of life. Being someone who loves speed and all things related, Luna finds a dangerous way to live life, until her choices catch up to her and she finds herself in a fight-or-flee situation.
She then meets Cash, a hot, cocky and a little goofy man, who has all women at his feet. Except for Luna. That gets to him and makes him wonder what it is with this woman that has him wanting to be around her and getting to know her better.
The dynamics between Luna and Cash is beyond fun and I love how Hollyfield managed to create two characters that are very much alike but also complement each other so well.
Lovers of a fast-paced and witty story packed with delightful dialogues will enjoy this book immensely.

Junkie is a fast paced, action packed romance that will grab your interest from the start. Cash and Luna's journey will take you on a suspenseful steamy ride and even though they started off on shaky grounds these two broken complex characters had intense chemistry and excellent banter and were perfect for each other. I enjoy seeing the progression of their relationship and watching them learn to trust each other. This story had it all emotions, humor, suspense, danger, steam, twists and turns and will have you at the edge of your seat. This was an excellent addition to The Driven World and I enjoyed it.

Luna has had a tough life but loves one thing,racing. She definitely has her own way of winning races. She gets herself in a rough situation and runs. Cash is a winning race car driver. He Mets Luna and is instantly interested in getting to know her and helping her. This book was definitely a page turner. This was my first time reading this author. I would definitely read another book written by this author.
