How far is Libby willing to go to keep her dirty, little (Victoria's) Secret?
Libby Evans is a Hollywood socialite and heiress to her great-grandfather's film production empire, Privileged Pictures. She and her friends are part of the new Hollywood Brat Pack. Anita Yates is a former child star, Willa Nelson is an aspiring model, and Charlie Niven is a hotel heiress and aspiring fashion designer. At 22, Libby has all the money in the world, a gorgeous oil heir boyfriend, and with a Victoria's Secret Angel contract just within her grasp, her life is perfect!
Unfortunately, Libby's life takes a wrong turn when she has a little too much to drink at another swanky Hollywood party. So, what happens when 'Little Miss Perfect' wakes up with a pounding hangover and a naked paparazzo, Wentworth Turner, in bed with her?
Sounds like a Hollywood scandal if it ever leaks!
Libby is desperate to keep this secret away from the tabloids, for the sake of her career and her relationship, and it turns out that Wentworth wants just one thing in exchange for his silence - 10 Dates.

Um, excuse me, where can I find my Wentworth Turner?! That man is everything you could ever want in a man, and then some. He’s kind, sweet, understanding, compassionate, and goes out his way to build you up and encourage you to follow your dreams. It wasn’t until the third date that I began to like Libby, as she came across as very entitled and spoiled which immediately got my back up. But by the time the fourth and fifth dates arrived I began to see her come out of her shell and open up, and to my surprise I found her to be funny and kind and someone who I could see myself getting along with. I love that all of the ten dates were different so we could see Libby and Wentworth in different settings and situations. This was a fun read to break up my other books!
Thank you to Bridget for sending me a copy of the book in exchange for my review.
I would just like to thank the author for giving me a copy of her book.
I loved gossip girl, so when I heard this was similar, I was so excited to read it.
I love that the group of girls had the name 'The Brat pack' they definitely lived up to their name.
I didn't like Libby at the start of this book, but I loved the easy-going Libby that Wentworth brought out of her on dates. The dates were the best 🥰 Wentworth was so sweet and see there was more to Libby than just being a model.
Even though Libby did lose site of her friends, and often didn't seem to take in what was happening in their lives, I still didn't like what Charlie had done and I was glad that Karma come back and bit her on the arse!!
I received an advanced copy of 10 Dates in return for an honest review. 10 Dates is kinda like a book version of Gossip Girl. The main character is a high profile, rich and glamorous model and is part of a group of equally rich and snobby friends. The FMC Libby makes the mistake of sleeping with a paparazzo at a party. In exchange for his silence, Libby agrees to go on 10 dates with the photographer Wentworth Turner
In all honesty, at the start of the book, Libby isn't very likeable. However, the story is well written and draws you in with a compelling storyline. Over the course of the book, we get to see Libby evolve and I found myself loving the relationship between her and Wentworth. Overall this is a very easy, enjoyable read

"Come find me if one day you see the light, the light that you've brought to my life, the light that I've always seen in you." - Wentworth Turner, 10 Dates by Bridget Van Der Eyk
A beautiful novel that shows the importance of true and honest company. I initially thought I wouldn't be a fan of the characters because of the 'Hollywood' way in which they spoke but I personally love the way it highlights the difference in Libby's character when she's with her friends and Libby when she's with Wentworth. It allows us to see just how much her character has developed over time and how she chooses to rise from the troubles she faces.
I felt that the characters were wonderfully written. The depth of each character was well thought of—quite ironic because they're meant to be 'shallow' but that just proves how well the author understands her characters. I started with a love-hate relationship with Libby but just like Wentworth, we both fell in love with her eventually ;). Wentworth is, in a nutshell, the perfect golden retriever male lead. He's loving, caring and so very supportive of Libby no matter what and seriously makes me want a Wentworth all for myself.
I love their 10 dates agreement because it was like watching them progressively fall in love with each other which was absolutely adorable. Once the meaning of the last date clicked, I swear I got chills!
PROS: A unique plot with an unconventional agreement CONS: The switching of point of views were quite confusing but I eventually got the hang of it FINAL THOUGHTS: I can't wait for all of you to read this; it was drama and romance all in one and really makes you crave for a person who just listens and cares for you :)
Thank you Bridget for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review!
This was such a perfect little book. I was sucked in from the first chapter and couldnt wait to find out what happened next. It gave everything from 2007 Gossip Girl but at 23 with adult problems. I loved all the characters and the multiple POVs. It was so wonderfully written and I really enjoyed getting to know Libby!
"why ten dates?" Libby asked. Libby Evans, a Victoria secret model. Her friends group, the Hollywood brat pack, includes Anita Yates, Charlie Niven and Willa Nelson. All amazing at their field of work and are successful. Turn of events and Libby's life took a Wrong Turn at a night when she had one too many drink. All she remembered was the Caterpillar and hungover, she woke up next day, naked, with paparazzi, Wentworth Turner.... Libby hated Paps... To hide the scandal she created she made a deal with Wentworth. And he asked her to go on 10 dates with him.
The book was a fun read. I was sooo confused at first as why the name "10 dates"! Then i read it, and i was like, "oooooh! Now i see why!". Those ten dates were quite good to read about, who doesn't like a good slow burn. Writing style is pretty simple, so everyone can give it a try. I am a classic Romance girl. So this kind of new age romance is not i usually go for. But for a change it was good. But, people who love slow burns and new age romance, you'll definitely enjoy this.
10 Dates' vibe: Gossip Girl goes Hollywood. This theme plays throughout, with scandal and who's who, who's talking about who and who's wearing what playing the biggest factors.
Plot: Libby, an up and coming Victoria's Secret Angel wakes up in bed with the wrong man who is definitely not her boyfriend. To avoid a scandal she agrees to, you guessed it, 10 dates with him. Her friends/frenemies smell the scandal a mile away and trouble brews...
This is a fun read! For spicy readers, this book is more of a fade to black and wake up the next day thing, so it's not very spicy in that sense. However the gossiping and backstabbing adds the spice and makes the book addictive to keep turning pages, or in my case scrolling the PDF!
You will hate these people. They are mean, self-centered and obnoxious. So you're probably praying they self-destruct just like I did! But this makes them fun to read about. Like a tabloid you shouldn't read or that reality show you shouldn't watch but spend a weekend binging.
This is for a younger audience, probably similar to Gossip Girl's. Sometimes this got to be overly explanatory. The drug references at the beginning also made me laugh a little because you can tell the author isn't overly familiar with drugs (this is good, stay unfamiliar!). Both of these factors stop playing into the story early on and it becomes faster to read and a lot more engrossing. It's definitely not off-putting enough that you won't enjoy the story.
Wentworth is also a bit boring compared to everyone else. Have you ever noticed that in so many romance novels the guys are kinda dull so they seem like the Prince Charming? (No one is more boring than Prince Charming!!!) However, I think the author wanted him to be a good foil to the new Hollywood "Brat Pack ". It was very effectively done. His time with Libby was a big contrast to her outings with the girls, showing how Libby was acting and who she was thinking about letting herself be.
Overall, this is a fun and easy read. Breezy like a good bite of gossip. Thanks so much for sharing a copy with me!
Libby Evans is a beloved supermodel, heiress, and the leader of the Brat Pack of Hollywood. She seems to have everything and if she doesn’t have it yet- she will. But when she finds herself in bed with a man that is definitely not her oil heir billionaire boyfriend after one too many Jell-O shots, she is adamant on keeping this scandal a secret. So what does she agree to? 10 dates. 10 dates with a paparazzo, otherwise referred to as the scum of the earth.
I’ll be honest, I did NOT think I would like this book when I first started reading it. Libby and her Brat Pack “friends” were horrible. They were petty, rude to staff, selfish, toxic, and beyond disloyal. But as much as I disliked the characters at first, the story was unputdownable! Libby grew on me throughout the story, especially when she was with Went (oh my darling Went🥺). I love how you get to see all their insecurities and their pasts that explains how they got to where they are. The story flowed effortlessly and always kept me entertained. There were definitely points where I wanted to throw my tablet across the room but fortunately did not. I couldn’t fathom the amount of pressure and responsibility it would take to be someone who the world looks down at under a microscope. The strength Libby displayed definitely helped her growth throughout the story, regardless all her bad decisions. I loved the ending (oh how I wanted to run Ace, Charlie, and Christine over with my car) and couldn’t be happier that Libby finally found her light🔆
Libby Evans life was perfect! She had a rich Dad, rich friends, and the perfect rich boyfriend. She had an Angel contract in her grasp. Until, one drunken night shook up her perfect life.
My love for this book is unimaginable. I didn't think I would be able to get past the “Hollywood Slang”, the word “paparazzo”, or even just the rude attitudes of each character in the “Brat Pack”. All of it though just helped me understand each character more when they were together and apart. Libby Evans was a whole other person when she was with her “Brat Pack” but Wentworth got to meet the real her and as the dates went on we got to know her and see some very vulnerable sides of her. After that I became a big fan, rooting for her to realize how amazing she was past all the fame.
Each character had so much depth making me love this book even more!
Now Wentworth! I had some very mixed feelings about him in the beginning with the whole blackmail aspect, but that just goes to show that this book really went with the “nobody is perfect” theme. As his character developed and of course as they went on more and more dates I fell in love. You could tell just how much he cared for Libby with all of his patience.
Overall I loved this book. If you like a little bit of drama with your romance, and a lot of “omg! she did not just do that!” moments. I would definitely give this book a read. It’s funny, sweet, dramatic and at times pretty deep.
10 Dates by Bridget Van Der Eyk is having its one-year anniversary on July 1st. In celebration, it got a new cover! Yay, it’s gorgeous. (The first cover is pretty cute too.) Thanks to the author for the eARC copy and the chance to give my candid review. It’s available on Kindle Unlimited too.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 3.5/5 (rounding to 4—it’s quite clever & very well written) Steam: 🔥 (0-5) kissing only/very closed door
What I’m Starry-Eyed Over: 🤩 Clever, multiple POV. 🤩 New adult but make it Hollywood Brat Pack—a mean group of gossip girls. 🤩 One drunken night, when Wentworth Turner saves Libby Evans from an old fling who won’t listen to her no—I fell in love with him right then and there. 🤩 Ten dates deal (blackmail). 🤩 My favorite of the dates is the animal shelter and deal breakers because I finally fell in love with Libby. 🤩 Hollywood—where your friends hire a P.I. to follow you and get the scoop.
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About: 💫 I don’t know if I was prepared for this book to be 50% blackmail fake dating and 50% the Hollywood Brat Pack drama. It feels more like a domestic/young adult drama rather than a romance or romcom. I tried to adjust my normal romance reviewer expectations to meet the different style of book because it’s so clever and very well written.
Thank you so much to @10datesnovel for sending me an e-copy to read and review! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This was such a fun romance read! Libby and all of her friends start out as the kind of mean, spoiled characters that you just love to absolutely hate. They are part of the Hollywood celebrity hype in their own little Brat Pack and they won’t let you forget it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When Libby wakes up after a party next to a handsome paparazzo, Wentworth Turner, she agrees to go on 10 dates with him so he won’t leak their little tryst to the press and ruin her relationship with her boyfriend and her prospect of a Victoria’s Secret Angel contract. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I loved all of the gossip, drama, and watching Libby and Wentworth’s business agreement go from basically blackmail to something a lot sweeter. Libby definitely becomes a better version of herself and learns a lot about friendship on her way there. Wentworth is adorable (for a blackmailer) and I liked their banter and how genuine their connection was despite the circumstances. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This was a cute, quick read. Would recommend for anyone who likes their romance dramatic without a lot of steamy scenes!
Let me start by saying that Libby had to grow on me but I like to think this was what the author plannend for. (And she did a great job.) Disliking her at first and than gradually she starts to grow on you, just as she is discovering herself as well. That being said, I adored Turner from the very first moment, we all have some flaws, I’ll forgive him his in an instant. So sign me up for a date with him. The story is good, it’s solid and fun! The writing of the author is good and easy to follow. This books, I can see it being turned into a movie. What makes this an ideal read is that although it has all the drama and fun, it also has the dept these kind of books need. You never know, until you know! What can I say, I enjoyed this read, a lot. I love the author’s wittiness and her ability to make me liking the book more and more with every page I read and making me love it in the end. I am very curious to see what Bridget will do in the future. Thanks a million for the read. 3.5-4
I honestly despised the main character, Libby, in the beginning, but as the story progresses and her character develops, I started rooting for her. You will also hate most of the other characters (sans Wentworth who you’ll love)- the rest are self-centered and entitled- but that is what sucks you in just like in a reality show and makes this plot really work.
I found it to be a bit slow in the beginning, but once the dates start, the pace definitely picks up and I was invested and then didn’t want to put it down (stupid busy work for making me have to lol).
The plot was very well done. And loved the connection and banter between Libby and Wentworth. Also Wentworth Turner- what a name! That name just sounds as dreamy as he was!
Such a fun and easy read full of drama! Recommend checking it out!🩷
Thank you @authorbridgetvde for the #gifted e-copy!🫶🏼
this book was adorable. it gave all the gossip girl vibes and i was here for it!! I really like bridget’s writing. I felt like it was super easy to read and get lost in. after reading this book, I know I would never want to be a model or socialite, because everyone are backstabbers and so toxic. I honestly can’t say that I loved any of the female characters because they were so selfish and toxic in their own way. out of everyone i definitely liked libby the best, wentworth was really sweet and almost too nice to be around the people he hung around with, i really loved his character! even though he was a paparazzo he did it to get money for his dad so i definitely felt like he was the most selfless out of them all. I really enjoyed all the different plot, twists and surprises that happened throughout the book. I definitely couldn’t stand any of the other girls in the brat pack. they were all so annoying, especially charlie, i couldn’t believe when she ratted out libby!! i really enjoyed the whole 10 dates aspect of the book, i thought it was super cute and i found myself unable to put the book down because i kept wanting to get to the next date! i can’t wait to read the next book of the series and see what happens!!
thank you so much bridget for sending me a copy of your book!!
I received an ARC of 10 Dates and I really liked it!
Libby is an up and coming model with a dream boyfriend and an elite group of friends…at least that’s what it looks like on the outside. Enter Wentworth, a charming paparazzo who lets you get a glimpse of the true Libby.
I think this book flows great and gives you a glimpse at the reality of navigating life in your 20s (even when you are rich and famous) and allows you to try and look below the surface, although sometimes you CAN judge a book by its cover (lookin at you Libby’s shitty friends).
I think once the author works out a few kinks, this book is going to be fantastic! As is, I couldn’t put it down.
This book has it all: a cheating socialite, a vet and part-time paparazzo, a bitchy girl gang, another cheater in an oil heir boyfriend, innovative date ideas, going back to college as an adult, and growing pains.
Charlie is the perfect villain; Anita is a cynical friend turned foe; Ace is an entitled prick; Willa and Willow are the yin-yang twins; and of course, we have the stars of the show: a confused Elizabeth and a shy Wentworth.
Push through the initial hundred pages of worldbuilding and a few distractions, and then the plot will hold your interest.
If you liked Starlit by Lisa Rinna, you'll like this.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Socialite Libby is determined to keep her big secret hidden and so she agrees to go out on 10 dates with Wentworth Turner, someone she considers to be scum of the Earth.
I had a lot of trouble getting into this book initially. The backstabbing friends, rudeness and petty attitudes were tough for me to digest and it was hard to relate to any of the characters. Thankfully as the book went on the characters did flesh out more and Wentworth was a wonderful distraction. I would recommend this book to anyone that’s into Hollywood gossip, Sex and the City and a sucker for a good enemies to lovers story!
#BratPack4lyfe This group is everything. Almost immediately I fell in love with Anita! Such a sass hole and absolutely hooked.
The characters tried to be very relatable and hit the mark about 50% of the time. While I personally can’t relate to being young, beautiful, and model there was enough to draw me into Libby.
10 dates was certainly not enough but he could have gotten away with 3 to swoon her! After date #2 I was sold. Such a HOH guy and now I’m on the prowl for my own Wentworth.
My only issue was the real world name drops on products. It was overwhelming at times and unnecessary for sorry development.
I was over the moon excited when @10dates reached out and asked me to read and review 10 Dates. This book was a lot of fun to read though at first, I had my doubts.
The book revolves around Libby Evans (supermodel, heiress, and leader of the infamous "Brat Pack"), her absent billionaire boyfriend, and impending Angel's contract with Victoria's Secret. Insert one juicy secret that could upend it all and Libby's desire to protect it, at all costs. The price she pays is going on 10 Dates with Wentworth Turner.
The characters are everything you would expect from the Hollywood elite and were difficult to like at first. However, as we progress through the 10 Dates, we begin to see Libby for who she really is as she learns the importance of genuine relationships. By the end of the book, I was rooting for Libby and came to understand her on a deeper level.
Overall, I liked this book and hope to read more from this author! The plot was well executed and kept me wanting to know more.
Hollywood's new batch of rich kids are partying it up in the hills. One on the brink of becoming the next big Victoria's Secret super model until one drunken night comes back to her haunt her. Can she keep secrets hidden from her catty, competitive friends.
Her secret is the man currently occupying space her bed after one drunken night out. His terms, 10 dates and her secret is forever sealed away. She agrees, and so the story begins a slow-build romance. This enemies to lovers is a quick read. For fans of reality shows with catty rich girls, this book is for you.
Thank you author, Bridget Van Der Eyk, for the complimentary copy.
I initially found it a little slow going, but the pace picked up along the way. I also struggled a little because the majority of the characters are so unlikeable (but written well) If you enjoy groups of mean girls being exactly that, thrown together with conflicting love interests then this one is for you.
I was a bit hesitant before picking up this book cz of the cover cz I’m not into too much romance in a way , but I was really glad I picked it up cz it reminded me of the series I used to watch while I was young like Gossip Girl and Pretty little liars as it had all the aspects that you might think about not just love but about friendship , betrayal, love, hate, discovering once self, gossip, modeling world, and all the emotions that comes with all the messed up situations that you might face, so it was really worth my time for real. I learned a lot from this book : First, friendship as it was a huge part of the book. as the it has to be built on trust and caring also sharing your life with no lies or secrets cz lies and secrets for sure will ruin that relationship also jealousy can ruin it as it builds black dotes inside someone’s heart. Caring should be mutual from both sides, to be listened to while also listening to others problem it is a two way thing cz you might lose your friends if you only cared about yourself, and also friendship is something is precious cz you can’t gossip about anyone unless if the other person is so close to you, and you need it to be able to stand again after every bad thing that might happen to you , so you should be able to trust them to help you while being through a lot If you don’t trust them that means they are not real ones. Second, Love was something else in this book, I learned love isn’t about just being in love but it is more about a journey to discover the real you and who you really wanted to be, it is not a way to have things it is a precious thing that makes you comfortable with your own skin no need to pretend to be someone else for the person you thought you loved , the love should make you feel happy comfortable cared about not just a tool to become in a higher position or to look very classy or anything like this, and that I should stay way from toxic relationship and that I should choose carefully when I have to, cz one mistake can cause you to lose the right person, and not every one is the right for you, you might find someone else who deserves you better than what you thought is right so take ur time in love never be the fast type, and that betrayal is never a solution for anything but once you betray your love know that there is something wrong in your current one and you should it end it right away. Third, discover yourself is a journey you take to know who you really are as in this journey you should filter the people around you and choose the right ones that you want them to stay next to you, cz not everyone is healthy some are toxic and they might ruin who you are and everything you have worked for, and once you get to know who you are never hesitate and just take the right step and keep going in this direction.
Let’s move to the story: The story starts when Libby goes to charlie’s party and cheat on her bf with a guy and that guy turns out to be a paparazzi and then he decides to blackmail her, his silence about this are for exactly 10 dates and that’s when things starts, all the things that Libby do to hide that one mistake she did and how this 10 dates changed her and the way she thinks and how her heart work also how it changed her carrer and her relationship with everyone around her from her bf to her friends, and it was really an amazing journey you will enjoy, as you won’t get only the story of Libby but all the brat pack and their inner world and how they gossip not only about others but about themselves and how they hide secrets form each other and how they might ruin each other if they had the chance they won’t leave a chance not to gossip about something, and also we get to see what the models have to do to really reach the place they want, and as the story goes on we see how Libby friendship with the pack will change how did she affect them and how they affect on her next, the plot twist was amazing I really liked how things picked up and stayed intense till the last page, as the ending was satisfying in a way but not the cheesy one it was just the percfect one that keeps you wanting to know more and read more.
Let’s move to the characters : Libby: the main character I couldn’t but fall in love with her she was honest wit herself and what she really wanted to be when she put her mind into something and she would do everything to be in the place she wants to be so she just do everything she could without caring about the consequences, also I loved how she was honest with herself about who she loved and who she needed to let go of , she has made a great journey to discover who she really was and she never hesitated about it , she was smart enough to do so. The only thing I hated about her which was even though she loved her friends but she never really cared about them in a good way or listened to them that the only treat that made her lose many things but at the same time this same treat taught her who really was there for her and who was not. Went: He taught me love can be genuine and some situation might make you do things you don’t want to but at the same time it gives you and experience you never thought of and might lead you to a place you wanted but never thought about doing it this way, so you just go and do what you have to do , he was that good character bad character that you can’t but fall in love with he is this type of personality that makes you wanna love and show the true side of yourself wither it was bad or good just be the true self, his kind of live is so cute and the way he express it is even more cute, as he only blackmailed libby to get to know her also he had to do all the shitty things to libby and her friends just for a good reason , like you can’t hate him after this, my fav character. Charlie : the devil in the book and all the problems happens cz of her she is the leader of the pack but at the same time as she sounds very devilish i know she might had a dark past that made her act this way and I really wanna know a back up story about her hopping that the author consider doing a sequel about her and the whole pack. Anita: Libby’s closest friend and her neighbor also a part of the pack she had to find her way in the modeling world and she had to do a lot of things just to reach the top but she always ended up losing as she was always there for libby but libby wasn’t there for her att all she decides to turn her back to her friend the one who broke her the most. The rest of the pack were just as interesting as everyone else , hope I can see a back up story of every character in this book, cz I’m really intreseted in all of them,
The books was really amazing and I enjoyed it so much, hope one day I can see it as a movie cz it is worth it as I was able to imagine each and every scene of the book in a way I didn’t think I will , so now after this long review I will leave you with some quotes I loved from this book: She couldn’t remember the last time a guy had given her the time of day and had a conversation with her that consisted of more than a dozen words. It was making the butterflies in her stomach fly around like little psychos.
Libby wasn’t sure if it was the intoxicating smell of cigarettes on his breath or the fact that his hands felt so good wrapped around her, but he was right
but she knew that if the roles were reversed that she would have reacted in the exact same way. They all thrived on the gossip, no matter who it was about
no matter how much of a ‘secret’ it was. Realistically in Hollywood, a secret was better defined as something kept between friends, and their friends, and their friends
It didn’t help that his green eyes, the ones that she remembered well from the first night they’d met, sparkled like hell every time he smiled
At the same time though, she knew that the longer she spent in this conversation, the more she would feel like she was stuck in a nightmare that she just wanted to wake up from
They were her family, no matter how much they bitched about each other. They were her family and she loved them
As she mulled it over, she realized that whilst she was angry, part of her was also sad. Missing someone tended to do that to a person, especial y when it was someone you love
she was quick and witty, and he found that unbelievably sexy
She stil loved him, and it was moments like this, and him saying things like this, that made her realize that he still loved her too. Despite the crazy interrogations, the long distance, and the fights, he stil loved her
f she was being honest, for some reason his touch on her skin somehow felt uncomfortable, almost like an itch that she couldn’t scratch
Now she associated the expensive gifts with apologies, fights, and the low points of their relationship. She knew that Hollywood girls lapped up this kind of thing, and she had for many months, but the same old song and dance was just getting stale now. Rather than filling her up, the gifts just made her feel empty
Whether it was because he genuinely didn’t know or because he didn’t care, Libby wasn’t even sure anymore
entirely surprised that Ace had let her down again, that is. She was, however, very surprised at how stupid she had been to believe that this time was going to be different
Real guys didn’t say things like this. Real guys didn’t tell girls that they were worth getting to know better. Real guys didn’t tel girls that they were more than what they appeared to be on the surface
It was what he had wanted, so he decided that whatever he was doing correctly he was going to continue to do it, which probably meant laying off the smart-ass comments for now
“I don’t get the chance to have many real conversations with the people in my life so thanks
He didn’t even know if she realized how vulnerable she was being and how much more it made him want her
Wentworth looked at her, straight into those dark brown eyes, and he knew that this was his moment if he wanted it to be. She was looking at him like maybe she was waiting for him to say something. She was also looking at him like maybe she was waiting for him to do something, but that could have easily just been his ego talking
She was maintaining his eye contact, and it felt like they had been staring into each other’s eyes for days. Wentworth was trying to control the look in his, to make sure his lust wasn’t showing, but he wasn’t sure how well he was doing that. He could almost feel the lust exploding out of him with each second that passed
She wanted to close her eyes and surrender to this moment, and it made her so nervous. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest, and she could hear it in her ears. It was taking every bit of concentration to remind herself to breathe
It was strange to feel it today though because she wasn’t sure if that heartache was to do with the boyfriend that she was sure she stil loved and had betrayed, or whether it was heartache for the other boy in her life. The one that wasn’t even supposed to be in her life at al . The one that made her feel things that she wasn’t sure she’d ever felt before. The one she knew she could never be with. Whether it was because of Victoria’s Secret or Ace Thatcher, she knew that she could never let herself love Wentworth Turner
There was something ridiculously sexy about the way she spoke his name that just made his insides do all kinds of ridiculous gymnastic stunts. It made him thankful that she called him
Trying to give her what she needed right now, what she wanted. If only it was that simple. If only he knew what she needed and what she wanted. If only he knew what he wanted other than to hold her for as long as she would let him
She was pretty sure he knew how she felt, and as scary as that was, the scarier part was not knowing how he felt. Even though she wasn’t ready to tell him how she felt, she knew that she needed to hear how he did
Libby could sense his hesitation. Like he knew what he had to say but he was holding back because of what his words were and what they would mean once he said them
I don’t want this to be another night you wake up tomorrow and regret,” Wentworth final y said
A silence enveloped them, the only sound being the late-night San Francisco traffic outside their window
only a few seconds before she opened her eyes again. Her eyes locked with his as she final y spoke the words that she had been holding back for so long. The words she knew would change everything. “That I want you,” Libby said, “all of you, and I don’t care why anymore
She had wanted this moment for longer than she was happy to admit, and probably even longer than that. She had wanted him for so long, and she was done caring about what it would mean for her career and her relationship. She had wanted Wentworth Turner for so long, and she was done caring about anything else
Wentworth watched her careful y as a small smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, starting at the left corner, as usual. Her eyes moved between his and the concrete beneath their feet, making it look like her eyes were almost completely closed as they stood in silence. Wentworth could feel his heart beating frantical y in his chest as he waited for her to say something
Everything was his fault, and now he could feel in the pit of his stomach that things were starting to crumble around them. Whatever it was between him and Libby was about to be over
but she wasn’t the only reason their relationship was as broken as it was. She wasn’t the only reason they were standing there, amongst the wreckage of all those broken pieces
“You only hear what you want to hear and when I tel you something is wrong you completely disregard it and think you can patch it up with some expensive piece of jewelry or some fancy dinner
It broke Libby’s heart to see the look in Wentworth’s eyes. He was clearly hoping for a different outcome, one that didn’t involve Libby and Ace staying together
“maybe you’re in love with how he made you feel. Like he made you feel like you were just some normal girl, rather than the socialite and supermodel you actually are. He fel in love with the Libby underneath all the Hollywood crap, and it made you feel good and happy. Maybe you’re just in love with that feeling he gave you
Maybe the part of her relationship with Wentworth that made her so happy was the fact that, for the first time in a long time, she could just be herself. Maybe what made her happy was being a normal girl. One who didn’t have to worry about any of the pressures of being a Hollywood girl
Somewhere along the line, she stopped feeling like she had to be there on those dates with him and instead felt like she wanted to be there. She wanted to spend more time with him and eventual y found herself wanting to be closer to him, both
physical y and emotionally. She found herself craving their conversations and at the same time craving his touch, so it felt wrong to tell the girls about the situation without adding in the back story
“That’s what happens when you think you can keep secrets from The Pack and pul the wool over our eyes,” Charlie muttered
All she could hear was her heart beating in her ears and all she could feel was the tears welling in her eyes. It seemed like a stupid thing to cry about, and she knew she was too old to cry about something as trivial as losing every single one of her closest friends, but she couldn’t help herself. She felt the first tear roll down her cheek as she heard a knock at the front door
but I wouldn’t change it. I got to know you in a way that I could have only hoped for. I got to know you, Libby, and you are even more kind, beautiful, and smart than I ever thought one person could be.” Wentworth was hoping that his words, as vulnerable but truthful as they were, would be a good place to start on the road to making things better between them. He was hoping that pouring out his soul to her would make her realize that what he felt for her was real. That this wasn’t a game to him
Wentworth looked at her as she spoke and when she finished, she looked him dead in the eye and that was it. It was the moment he felt his heart sink because he had been wrong. He was worried that she didn’t know exactly how deeply he felt about her. He was worried that she thought he planned al it all in San Francisco, but it turned out that the problem was that he had hurt her, and he could see that now in her eyes. He had hurt her so deeply five years ago when he was there at her mom’s funeral taking photos of her to profit off. It was at that moment when she looked up at him that he also knew that it was over. There was no way to repair their relationship. There was no coming back from this. Five years ago, he had ruined any chance of being with her, and he hadn’t realized that until tonight
Come find me if one day you see the light,” he said “The light that you’ve brought to my life,” Wentworth answered. “The light that I’ve always seen in you
Libby Evans was so much more than he could have ever predicted when he started thinking about her more and more after that day at LAX; back when all he wanted was the chance to spend more time with her. Now al he wanted was for her to be happy and he didn’t think that involved him anymore
I’m only human and having them overlap was a choice I made, even though it wasn’t a great one.” “Sure,” Peyton nodded. “We’re all only human and we’re all entitled to make some mistakes. I really think that people forget that about celebrities and the rich and famous. We’re in the public eye but that doesn’t mean we’re going to be perfect all the time!
“I never like to think of my bad decisions as mistakes,” Libby said, reaching for another piece of Pepperoni pizza to keep her cool. “I like to cal them life lessons.
In your light, we see the light’,” Peyton replied. “Oh my God,” Libby gasped
10 Dates is everything you could want for gossip and drama. The New Adult novel by Bridget Van der Eyk goes above and beyond for making you both love and hate the characters within. If you pick this up, strap yourself in for a journey of scandals, betrayals, and all the dirty gossip of Hollywood.
The novel follows Libby Evans, a supermodel gunning for a Victoria’s Secret Angel contract. She is the leader of her friend group, the Brat Pack, girlfriend to an oil heir billionaire boyfriend, and is essentially living out her perfect life. Yet, one night with Wentworth Turner threatens to destroy it all. To avoid the biggest scandal of her life, Libby agrees to going on 10 Dates with Turner to keep him quiet. As her friends in the Brat Pack try to figure out just what Libby is hiding, you’ll be flipping the pages to find out what happens next.
With the drama and scandals of Hollywood, however, also come the backstabbing and snobbish attitudes of everyone involved. In fact, you’ll probably hate each and every character at some point. The entire Brat Pack comes across as extremely entitled, arrogant, and self-involved, including Libby herself! Libby’s oil heir boyfriend is just as bad and lacks any seemingly good qualities. Not to mention the main love interest starts off the relationship with blackmailing the main character. However, as the book progresses you truly see the theme of the book, which is that everyone is human, and we all make mistakes and nobody is perfect. Some mistakes just happen to be juicier than others…
Frankly, this book had me screaming in frustration at all the addictive drama happening. I was dragged in with the shocking moments and stayed for the funny, sweet, and charismatic moments. This book is essentially a 2000’s movie in the making and fulfills every expectation you are hoping for.
Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a light but dramatic book chock-full of gossip. If you are not okay with blackmail, backstabbing, cheating, or anything similar, don’t pick this book up. If that’s the scandal you like though, you chose the right read!

This is a book that I truly cannot wait for you all to read. Bridget Van der Eyk has written such a special story that involves the elite of Hollywood and the paparazzi that torment them. The way that she portrays the clique of Hollywood socialites, from models to heiresses, is simply ingenuous. They are such a group of back-stabbing bitches, and while I’m sure it is not the case for everyone there, I can definitely see the realism in their encounters.
Libby Evans is a soon-to-be Victoria’s Secret Angel who has a billionaire boyfriend and a seemingly blissful and glamorous life……….until she mistakenly comes in contact with (swoon) Wentworth Turner. From there, Libby and Wentworth embark on a series of 10 Dates.
A love story for the ages unfolds before our eyes, and I could feel it happening before Libby did in the story! You know – those aches in your heart 💜 and butterflies 🦋 in your stomach. Of course, like most love stories, there are many downfalls and tribulations throughout and I never really grasped how it was truly going to end until it hit.
10 Dates is the perfect romance novel to hit you in all the feels. Do not hesitate to get your hands on a copy as soon as you are able to do so.
Be sure to like the 10 Dates Facebook and Instagram pages to keep up-to-date with all of the happenings with the novel!
This book made me nostalgic! If you read The Clique series growing up (I was obsessed) then I think you would really enjoy this. It gave me grown up version of The Clique mixed with some Gossip Girl vibes.
Wentworth Turner… where do I even begin?? This man is a dream! The way he goes about getting his 10 dates is a little sketchy but I guess a man’s got to do what he can when it comes to hanging out with the Hollywood elite. I really enjoyed his character and the way he helped Libby realize things about herself that she probably wouldn’t have realized without him.
Now to Libby. In the beginning of the book she drove me crazy. She was spoiled, entitled, selfish.. I suppose everything you would image a supermodel to be. After hanging out with Wentworth, though, you got to see her true colors. I feel like she had great character development and I was really rooting for her at the end.
Thank you to Bridget for sending me a copy of the book in exchange for my review!
##REVIEW IN ENGLISH##
Okay, let's see what I can say about this book.... It is true that the synopsis makes it clear that the book is about a supermodel who falls in love with a "nobody" i.e. a paparazzi. Although it must be said that even though this synopsis is appealing, the book is something else. Since I had a hard time deciding whether I liked or disliked the book I will divide it into two parts: POSITIVE and NEGATIVE.
POSITIVE.
- I liked the idea that she was the famous one and he was not. - I liked Went's character as a whole since I felt that from the beginning we could tell that he really loved her. - I liked that the author also brought out the "fakeness" of Libby's friends and that she didn't hold back on showing Libby's side with her friends since she behaved like a **** - I liked Annita, I thought she was one of the best characters always defending her friends even though her best friend, aka Libby, didn't pay attention to her sometimes.
NEGATIVE.
- I didn't like Libby, she seemed to me a very shallow person and with her friends as I said in the previous point she was a **** - i hated her relationship with Ace, but i liked that the author focused on the fake love relationships that sometimes take place in Hollywood (so it's a 1/2 POSITIVE) - I hated Charlie and Willa, I disliked them from the beginning. - I didn't like the fact that . - I didn't like the fact that it wasn't elaborated more on what happened after the "event" with her modeling career, we only know that
TO IMPROVE . - i would have liked Went to be described better since i didn't imagine him physically in any way, just taller than her, end of story. - I would have liked that the author focused more on Annita, since I liked the poor girl very much, although there is a part in which she is wrong, it must be said that she does what she does because of how badly Libby treats her sometimes (that is to say that she doesn't even pay attention to her even though she proclaims to be herself her best friend)
Even so, it must be said that it is an entertaining book, it is easy to read and the truth is that I was hooked from the first moment, mostly because I wanted to see how it ended, I was curious. I liked the "plot" of the story since it seemed to me something original (it is my opinion, I'm sure there are many like that) and even so I found the book fun. A bit confusing, but fun. So in conclusion, I would give it a 2,75 or 3.
Supermodel Libby Evans sleeps with someone after a night of too many drinks. Just so happens, this someone is Wentworth Turner, a paparazzo, who Libby sees as the scum of Hollywood. Libby is desperate to keep this quiet, so she does the one thing Wentworth asks from her. Wentworth wants 10 Dates with Libby.
So when I started this book, I totally thought the main character Libby was a bitch 🤣 As the story went on, I became totally obsessed with the characters and couldn't put it down. I love the storyline, I love the enemies to lovers, I just love it all. The characters all have flaws but I really loved reading about them, it just made them more real. I am definitely a mood reader and this was just the perfect romance for me!
I enjoyed the story once I was about halfway through. It took a while for me to wrap my head around what was happening and all the time jumps. I loved the way the tension building was written and how you saw the development in Libby's character. Was a beautiful love story but took awhile for me to actually get captivated by the story
This piece of romance is by Bridget Van der Eyk which I absolutely loved. She has put so much effort into this book with characters and the details of insights. This is a book about being honest to yourself and about what you want in your life. It has everything from drama to humor, from gossip to heartbreak and scandals and whatnot. At first when you start the book, you think this isn’t for you because of all the Hollywood drama and all but when you proceed, it becomes very interesting.
Libby Evans is the top supermodel, an upcoming Victoria’s Secret Angel and the leader of the brat pack. She seems to have it all and in perfect manner. One morning, she woke in the bed with the wrong man and tried to think about the previous night whereabouts. Obviously she realized it’s not her boyfriend and how dangerous it would be for her career if this news goes out of this room. The person next to her was a paparazzo and in order to keep it all a secret, he asked her to go on 10 dates with him to which she agreed because she has the goal to become VC angel and she can’t afford a scandal like this. At first it seemed stupid to anyone who reads but when the dates started, you come to know how different Libby is from her pack. Her thought and opinions are way different and she is definitely not like the rest of her frenemies. The rest of the pack was typical spoiled brats, rude, self-centered, disloyal, into gossip and spreading it and making fun of others. Obvious to their nature, they were result of their past and future insecurities.
Wentworth, the paparazzo, was the true gentleman. Not because he blackmailed Libby into 10 dates but the way he acts during those dates and how he took the stand for her. He proved that nobody is perfect but everyone has a good side and his good side overshadowed the wrong he did. Way too charming to be a man, kind and compassionate. Being with him made Libby relaized what she wanted in her life and where she belongs and that’s defenitely not with the rest of the girls. She got the strength because of him which she didn’t know she had. Their relationship started from blackmail and turned into a purest form of love. The ending is what makes you feel so good. The point where everything shatters and takes a new form is just so relieving where Libby got a good lesson from the friends she had and realized what sort of people she should surround herself with. Wentworth proved to be the adorable human in her life and showed her how genuine their relationship is.
This is fun and cute read with a lot of drama and gossip. The moments where you feel awestrucked and “oh damn not again” at the same time, is what makes this novel very likeable. I would definitely recommend this to everyone who is into romance and drama.
My favorite quote from this book was “She realized that whilst she was angry part of her was also sad. Missing someone tended to do that to a person, especially when it was someone that you loved.” Let me know yours ❤
