Texting the Boyband #2

Billionaires Don't Date Cheerleaders

Rate this book
Why does a boyband need to go to high school anyway?

When I sent out that tweet, I didn't exactly expect for a member of said boyband to see it. I also didn't expect him to pick me as his school guide when he started the next week.

Oh and the reason he gave when he responded to my tweet?

It's the best way to meet girls.

I think I might be in trouble...

So cute 🥰🥰

Soo I accidentally read the 3rd one first but idk why she put in a spoiler about Neil and Grace at the end 🤷‍♀️ sometimes it's kinda confusing because we know everything that is gonna happen because it's on the same timeline for all three book which as I said leads to spoilers

THIS BOOK.

Clara, you've done it AGAIN. I'm literally so sad I just finished BDDC, and I feel like I need to reread it, already!

The amount of times I needed to take a break because I was giggling and squealing is uncountable, because every time Jude said something, it was 100% amazing. Jude's carefree but caring (that doesn't even make sense) personality was so endearing and funny, that I don't even blame Sloan one bit for falling in love with him! There were so many amazing scenes, but I don't want to spoil them! I'll try to be vague, but IYKYK!
✨️Both hall scenes
✨️Sick scene
✨️Bonfire scene
✨️The "escape"
✨️Texting/tweeting
✨️Locked out scene

A nice and engaging read. With characters that had so much depth, it was compelling to keep reading as you became extremely invested in their story and relationship.

A great book to pass an afternoon and to escape in.

I loved this second book in the 'Texting the Boyband' series!

The first chapter or two were quite similar to the first book as they were taking place at the same time, but this time was from Sloane's perspective, so I didn't mind at all.

It was so cute, and there were a couple of times where I laughed out loud :)

Quotes:

📕I looked at Jude and smirked as Hudson pretty much tackled Megan to get her phone from her hand. They were definitely falling in love.

📕Luca, I thought. Luca. I think I might be in love with you, Luca Jude.

📕Tis Moi Luca: How do you start a fire
Eggo: Am I correct in assuming you mean a bonfire?
Tis Moi, Luca: No, I decided I would just commit arson today and wanted to see if any of you knew how

📕Luca if being in a boyband doesn’t work out, you should really become a lawyer. Not because you’d be good at practising law or anything. You would just be great at confusing the other side so much that they wouldn’t even know what was going on

📕I felt for the first time in a while that I was home, not in the sense of where I lived, but in where I belonged: sitting next to a bonfire, surrounded by my chosen family, and laughing more than I ever had before.

Although this book was ridiculous, and it didn't have any character development, drama, angst, character backstories or anything remotely interesting, I'm still giving it 4 stars because of how it made me feel. This book was so Wattpad coded! Sent me right back to when I was 13 and reading terrible 1D self-inserts on Wattpad. This book was just perfect for sending me down memory lane, and it was great for a soft, fun night.

Cute but grammatical errors annoying

Cute story and sweet teen romance, but the serious grammatical errors, repeated words or whole sentences just made it annoying. A new editor is called for.

Sloane and Lucas's story was a fun time. They are softies in the best way. I love how they support each other and their friends. Their banter is the best.

Another cute love story! Super well written and love how she lays out the book. Would definitely read again and (read on kindle). I’m anticipating the third in this series so much! I don’t think I’ve finished two books faster than the first one and this one. Absolutely love the writing and how it makes my heart flutter just seeing how the characters interact with each other. I’m trying to decide which of her books to start next!!!

This is straight out of every teen girls dream who has had a crush on a celebrity.
Sloane is the MFC and in my opinion she is a lot more likable then Meghan (who is the FMC in the first book in Texting the Boyband series) Sloane is just a regular girl who goes to class, is on the cheer team and oh yeah is going to high school with the hottest boybands. She is very witty, sarcastic, and funny throughout the entire book, whether that was through the Tweets, texts, or the dialogue she personality comes through and shines. Judd, or Lucas reminds me of the class clown. He always has something smart to say, doesn't really take anything serious, until he meet/tweets Sloane.
The reason I only gave it 2 stars was because it felt very rushed. There was a few scenes that only lasted around a half a page and I wanted more out of them. Judd and Sloane are cute and match each others energy perfectly, it just wasn't enough for me.
It was like buying a mini candy bar, it is good, but I want more.

Billionaires dont date cheerleaders

3.5⭐️

Sloane and jude have great flirty banter, both one Twitter and in real life. I enjoyed the setup with the tweets and the text messages, they broke up the plot nicely.

I do think this one felt a little more fleshed out than book 1 in terms of seeing them become friends and then more. But it's still at a disadvantage of being so short that everything moves very quickly.

This book happens as book 1 happens, so some of it was the same events just from sloanes POV. While this was good in terms of bot having to reread book 1, I can imagine it would make reading them straight after the other less entertaining.

I received an advance review copy of this book, and this review represents my honest opinion. Thank you to booksirens, Clara Nielsen, and the publisher for the opportunity to read the book.

interesting read

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2023...

***spoilers little here and there***

It’s not much I would like to say about this book like I had to say in the first one. I mean it was a good book and I enjoyed it. I figured that Jude and Sloane was going to end up being together in the end. Especially with learning how they started out way before Jude went to her school.

Not only that I am curious will Grace and Neil get a book? Or even Finn and Zac how about them because the other two are pared off and it looks like Neil and Grace has something going on there. I can’t wait to see if they’ll eventually get a book!

Meh. I gave it 3 stars because I felt bad for giving it 2, so take my 3 with a grain of salt. While the first book was sweet and simple, this one just felt like more of the same. Up until like half of the book, you get the same story from Book 1 (dame dialogues and everything) just from a "barely" different point of view. Might be the mom in me, but I didn't appreciate Sloane's constant lying to her parents but we don't even get a clue as to why her parents are so strict. Regarding the writing itself, there were more errors than I care to remember so looks like the editing part was rushed or skipped altogether.

I should have stopped at the first book, I know there are more but I won't be wasting my time with them.

I really enjoyed this book! I couldn’t put it down. Just like the first book, I was hooked with the characters and really enjoyed the storyline. I felt that Sloane was really relatable, and she reminded me a lot of me being very social. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Despite it being a young adult book, I feel that the chemistry was really fun. I also enjoyed the mystery part through text message and Twitter. I liked that the previous characters like Sloane’s best friend, Megan, was in the book too.

I was sooo excited for this book and it did not let me down!! Jude is my favorite of the guys. He deserves all the happiness, love, laughter, and enjoyment in life. He's such a happy goofball and he cracks me up. Sloane is his perfect companion in that. I really enjoyed once they both stopped beating around the bush and just admitted they liked each other. It got sooo good from there.

I loved how Jude took care of Sloane when she was sick. I love how they talk on Twitter and tease each other. They are so funny together!! Such a great book!!

This was a great second book in this series! I love the added touch of the texts and tweets in the story - almost makes it feel like you are part of the "back story". The beginning was a little hard to get in to as it is extremely similar to the first book of the series since the event is the same where the main characters meet, just from a different point of view! Otherwise a great and light hearted story!

This is super cute and easy to read. I finished it in one go. If you read in order of the series it can be a little predictable but I love the different perspectives. I was actually surprised with Grave at the end. How can a young adult book cause heat at the end in an innocent way. I 100% recommend

This book had some spoilers about the next one and duplicated some events. I don’t know why but I couldn’t picture Sloane with blonde hair.

I did get mixed emotions she wasn’t a fan girl at first but ended up being one.

Being a guide made it fun. Jude is fun and gets into a tiny bit of trouble at times
