✨ARC Review! I received an early copy of this book and this is my honest review.✨

“I looked at Mad and realized there wasn’t anywhere she could go that I would not follow. When she smiled up at me everything felt right in the world. I didn’t feel bound, I felt free.”

Lunar Freedom is the 5th and final book in the Lunar Series. This book is very emotional, but it’s such a great ending for the series! The finale in this book is unlike anything I’ve read and it ends beautifully. This book gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!
After being abducted, Mad decides to get a construction job. She ends up on the same site as Toran, who is part of Jaris’s team. He’s currently working undercover to see what more he can find out about the rebellion. These two have a lot of flirty banter, but don’t act on it (at first 😉).
On their last day, Junak announces that he intends to imprison those who would defy him. Unbeknownst to them, Mad and Toran had helped build the prison and now they were targets too. They manage to escape and spend a few days freeing people before they get caught and need extracted by the team.
Once the gang is back together, they start plotting to take out Junak. They’ll also need to convince the working class that they have the power to take back their freedom and to help them. Even when the threat of their mates lies in the hands of the enemy, the guys band together to pull off the biggest rebellion of the rebellion. (Being super vague here so there’s no huge spoilers! A lot happens in the second half and it’s fast paced. You won’t be able to put the book down!)
What 👏🏻 a 👏🏻 ending! Crystal ended this series perfectly! I absolutely adored Mad and Toran’s story. They had this instant chemistry and it was so fun to see it develop naturally. Not even the stress of trying to rescue others and the threat of imprisonment could keep them apart.
Toran vowed to never get attached to someone. He watched his parents work themselves to death so that they could survive poverty… and it made him never want to be with someone. Mad walks onto the job site and instantly all bets are off! He falls so hard for her! I love these guys and how fiercely they love their women.
Sweet Mad misses her home so much, but she’s doing her best to keep her head up and be positive about her abduction. She even goes against the flow and opts to work a construction job rather than what the other girls picked (rut specialist, farmer, mechanic). She loves the flirty banter from Toran, but leaves it in his hands to be more.
The chemistry of these two… SHEESH 🥵. This is the spiciest book in the series and damn it’s good. Toran has a dirty mouth and Mad is such a brat. They completely fall into a light dom/sub duo and it’s SO SO GOOD!
The mid-book fight scene that leaves our happy couples split up was hard to read. Watching the guys breakdown into shells of themselves was heart wrenching. These men care so much about their mates and seeing how they react when they’re apart and in danger broke my heart. Thank you Crystal for the page break that told us to take a deep breath and that it’d be ok. It was much needed after that scene!
Finally, the conclusion of the rebellion and overthrow was amazing. I loved seeing the people come together to take back their power. The epilogue showing us what happened to the couples was exactly what I needed. I love knowing where everyone went and what they got up to! I especially love that they all spend Christmas together 🥹.
Crystal - thank you so much for allowing me to be on your ARC team. It’s been an honor to see these characters come to life through your writing. I’m so proud of you! I’m so excited to see what’s next for you!
