Rate this book
Do you feel alone, depleted, and have nothing left to give?

Where is God when your special-needs child is hurting or struggling?

Where is He when the child you love turns violent?
If you are a special-needs parent who feels exhausted and hopeless from living in constant survival mode and ready to give up, Celeste invites you into her story so she can point you to the sustaining hope of Christ, the one who will never leave you or forsake you.
Celeste Shally had always dreamed of becoming a mother, but the challenges of raising her adopted son with special needs threw her life into chaos, threatened her marriage, and challenged her faith in God. While We Wait is a heartbreaking yet hopeful story in which Celeste pulls back the veil on what it is like to live with a violent, destructive adolescent with special needs. With honesty and transparency, she shares her doubts about God and his role in suffering.

A heartbreaking and vulnerable read! I so appreciate the honesty and the lack of cliche platitudes that are often used when dealing with trying times and grief. This is a book every parent needs to read, even if you don't have a child with special needs. Or even if you are not a parent-It provides such important insight that everyone should educate themselves on to better understand and to come alongside those going through this.
