Kamille Boatwright appears to have it all. As the owner of a successful business, her funds are unlimited. However, her professional life is the only thing that seems to be working in her favor. Kamille doesn’t have a problem with being single, but she gets sick and tired of it being thrown in her face. Welcome to Kay Shanee's Reading Korner Kay is forty something wife and mother, born and raised in the Midwest. During the day, she is a high school teacher. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite pastime is reading and writing romance novels about the dopeness of BLACK LOVE.
Kamille is the epitome of black excellence. She co-owns the top HR and consulting firm in Chicago, she’s been featured in multiple black owned magazines, and, at the tender age of 35, she’s a billionaire. Kamille is accomplished in every aspect of her life except her love life. Sis is single and so not looking to mingle. Now, this isn’t necessarily a problem for her but, she’s tired of being harassed by her family about when she’s going to settle down, get married, and pop out some babies. Especially those stank azz cousins of hers. Not, looking forward to hearing their mouths on the upcoming family vacation, Kamille decides to take the advice of her best friend and signs up with an upscale escort service. Qaseem is a former drug dealer turned businessman. He owns Platinum Connections which, happens to be his most lucrative legal business. When Kamille’s profile comes across his desk, he is instantly smitten with the dark skinned beauty but knows he could never cross the line with a potential client. So, he keeps it cute and professional and matches her with the best escort Platinum Connections has to offer. But, fate pulled up and said, “Hold my beer.” As luck would have it, Kamille’s escort has to cancel on the family vacation leaving Qaseem with no other choice but, to break his own rule. I loved this book and I loved this couple. Kamille and Qaseem matched each other’s energy and were perfect for one another. It was so refreshing to see the MFC as the billionaire with the deep pockets and the MMC not be threatened by her success. Now, don’t get it twisted. Qaseem’s money may not have been as long as Kamille’s but, his bank account wasn’t lacking in the least. Impromptu Date was such a good read and the perfect end to this series.
Miss Kamille was stubborn, and hard-headed! Did I say stubborn? Whew, she was something else! 😡 I loved that the billionaire was a woman about her ish, and her business is thriving. But her personal life was trash. She ain’t got time to be foolin’ with no good men, and babies are a no no! With her annual family trip coming up, she doesn't want to go through the same mess, hearing her family talk about her not having a man, again! Ughhh…. Them damn cousins of her, like what the hell is their problem. We all got some family members on some jealous ish, that be giving you the side eye, but damn, this was waaaaaayyyy more! 👀🤬
Reluctantly taking her friend Ari’s advice, she seeks out an escort to pose as her boyfriend for the trip. She got along well enough with the guy, but when a family emergency comes up, he is replaced by none other than the owner of the company. Qaseem! Rough around the edges, but smart, and is very proud of his company Platinum Connections. When Kamille’s profile comes across his desk, he is amazed at her beauty, but knows he must abide by the rules he put in place. As fate would have it, he ends up filling in to accompany Kamille on her family trip after all. After some good conversation he and Kamille hit it off, and he is excited about the trip. Maybe I can do this relationship thing Qaseem wonders.
Kamille a bit apprehensive about Qaseem, as she knows her family, but he fits right in. When he shuts her cousins down, after their rants, she is smitten. The trip goes well, and she wonders if these good feelings will continue when they get home. That is when things go off the rails! Kamille runs at the first hint of trouble, without waiting for details or explanations, and leaves her good thang.
After a little birdie tells Qaseem a lil something, he bosses up on Kamille’s ass, and let’s her know what it is! Although she pretends to not like it, she is swooning inside, as she loves this part of him. Quick love story, that had me smiling throughout. Now, I am with Kamille and want some revenge for the actions of them damn cousins, cause we can’t let that ish ride! Good job! 👍👍👍
Alrighty, I think we might have dueling babies ' fathers with this latest read. Q was a former street guy, turned businessman. And the twist in this story... drum roll......the billionaire was the lady 😉😆. I appreciated the fact that she was the one with the money. Although Q was no slouch with his amount of wealth, he did not have the same number of commas as Kamille. And thank you Kay-for putting the Nasty Attitude Glass House Cousins in their place. I don't curse, but the three of them were bitter Bs. And you can fill in the blanks with whatever you decide fits the narrative. Now I need to decide which Daddy is in the lead.... 😍
This was so good. Loved Kamille and Qaseem‘s story. Two weeks in Bali pretending to be a couple turned into so much more. Lots of comical moments. And lots of spice. The side characters were great. Kamille definitely had some trifling cousins, but they got what was coming to them.
This was a super cute read! I loved how Kami didn’t let her cousins play in her face, and Qaseem matched her energy at every turn. Karma is a bit** the cousins got first hand experience on how side chicks win!
Very good book. Of course your books had Kamille and Qaseem getting it in. Loved it. Kamille cousins were so mean and nasty. Can someone say jealous. Qaseem and Kamille are good together. I love them together.
So here is the thing when it comes to a Kay Shanee's masterpiece, you don't have to doubt. You don't have to worry if the storyline is on point, nor if it's well-written or not, or if the character development is bad. When Kay Shanee's pen hits the paper she releases a read that will entertain you from one cover to the other.
I absolutely love Kamille and how she chased her career dreams. The agreement she and Ari made in college came true ten times over. They became billionaires. They were just missing unconditional love. Kamille's cousins were already a pain but it was worse because she was single. They act like they had #marriagegoals when in reality it was more like #sidepiece heaven. I love how witty Kamille was because whatever they said to her she snapped back. They were some miserable individuals. Qaseem stepped into Kamille's life at the right time. He also made sure to give the cousins the action they were trying to instigate with Kamille. He was made for Kamille and he fell in love with her on the family trip. Once the man falls he becomes a protector and provider. Qaseem was both. You got to read to see what all I am talking about. So grab your copy today and enjoy this work of art.
What a read! I loved the spin on the story with the main female character being the one with the most money. She was well educated and a straight Boss. Yaasss Hunty!! Ms. Boss Lady met her match though in Qaseem. He was a delicious treat that bossed up on her and brought the heat while doing so! 💪🏾 Well done Author Kay Shanee❣️
Omg I really enjoyed Qassam and Camille story! I just hate how she quickly washed her hands of him. But I get it having a billion dollar business. You don't want bad publicity, but it would have you missing out on loaded opportunities. I really enjoyed each author's story to this series. This is a definite recommended series.
Is nobody else upset that her friend gave a relative stranger FULL ACCESS to her penthouse and security codes? Baby daddy or not, that’s a HUGE no.
Or the fact that bestie and baby daddy both claimed to support Kami’s right to choose, but as soon as Kamille leaned toward fetus deletus, both became tattle tales😡

Miss Kay Shane did this ! Love at first sight or love at first release , BOTH. I’m happy that our girl Kamille was the boss chick. Not gone lie she pissed me off when she just dipped on Qaseem. Her biggest downfall was worrying about what others thought of her.
Now, when I say give me ONE of him I’m talking about the Qaseem . OK I mean he got his own, making her cum in a couple seconds. Applying that good good dick along with that authoritative energy 😮💨. Yes he was all that and a bag of chips.
I loved this!! Kamille said Imma BILLIONAIRE!!!!! Dont Lil girl me!!!!!! I loved the change of having the woman with the most money! I really enjoyed this!! The writing was wonderful. Qaseem was not a broke guy dont get it twisted at all! He was not intimidated by anything Kamille earned. I loved that about him. I did want to karate chop him when he wanted to DEMAND and assert himself on some issues. Thats still my guy tho. These two were so made for each other. I highly recommend this one! Enjoy. I did the audio and you wont be disappointed.
Aww I’m sad about the death. Everybody can’t make it though. But this was a really good read. You had me nervous a couple times there but I still got my HEA.
3.5 ⭐️I like this book for the most part, but I am just not a fan of miscommunication and making assumptions. Especially at her big grown age of 35. Kamille is a billionaire businesswoman and you mean to tell me she couldn’t ask that man questions or for him to explain himself. Just jumping to conclusions while only knowing him for TWO WEEKS.
This is my first book by this author and I’m going to give her more chances because of the writing and the spice… the spice…. *slow grin* 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
i really want authors to get over the chokehold that "my seeds" has on them. i promise there are other ways to describe male ejaculate.
also..... the book synopsis puts an emphasis on this family trip which i thought the book would be more centered around but it's actually a very short portion of the book. definitely would have liked to read more about the bali trip!
This was such a cute story and a great ending to this billionaire baby romance series. I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end even though at times I was giving Kamille a major side eye because sis was tripping. Qaseem seemed to know Kamille was the one for him as soon as he saw her profile but wasn’t trying to date a client and then fate stepped in and made it where he felt compelled to offer himself up as her date. Their connection and chemistry while in Bali was so cute and I loved how Qaseem remained cool and calm even when in the face of adversity. I loved how Kamille stood up for herself with her evil cousins but I don’t like that she ran at the first sign of trouble without even asking for details and to leave his stuff on his porch was foul. I felt that even if she decided to walk, she should have asked questions especially after the bond it seemed they built while on vacation. The evil cousins got their karma and showed that people in glass houses really shouldn’t throw stones. I loved that Kamille had a best friend like Ari and that Ari told her about herself when she was wrong. As Ari said I’m your friend and support you but I don’t support bs and I will let you know. Kamille needed that and it helped her stop running and avoiding the truth. I was glad that Kamille and Qaseem were able to get back on track and reach their happily ever after. I also loved that Qaseem showed so much BDE and put Kamille in her place when necessary because she needed that as well.
This was such a good book! I was intrigued from the first chapter. Kamille is a very successful woman. She has an upcoming family vacation and she needs a date because she is single. Her hating viper cousins give her a hard time about her single status. I won’t get distracted talking about those broads though! She goes to an escort service to get a date. She ends up taking Qaseem with her on the vacation when her date has an emergency. She and Qaseem are instantly attracted to each other. They enter into a temporary friends with benefits arrangement. This arrangement leads to more than they bargained for! Kamille and Qaseem have to figure out how to handle their unexpected feelings and their unexpected surprise. They have to figure out if they have the foundation to be more than just an impromptu date. They have to work on making their temporary arrangement into a forever love!!
I liked this book and Kamille. I loved Q! He was all BDE male and did not play. He saus what he said and meant it. He loved him some Kamille and did not let her emotions or foolishness get in their way. So happy they got their HEA. Her 3 wicked cousins were the definition of misery loves company. You need an antagonistic but 3 cousins with that much hate in that otherwise good peoples family seemed out of place. Kamille's impulsive over reaching actions annoyed me especially for her clear business savvy and her age, but I guess some people can be great in business and disastrous in their personal life. Ultimately, good and great lead characters, funny and engaging supporting characters and a wonderful HEA make for a great read 📚 👏🏾❣️
I fell in love with this story from the beginning. I can’t believe her cousins would drag her personal business on social media like that. I was glad when karma returned the favor in honor of the cousins’ mistresses. Kamille had me nervous for a minute about making appointment to abortion clinic and missed it because allegedly overslept. I felt like that was God’s way of letting her know that the babies were blessing whether she wanted to admit or not. I glad that her and Qaseem got their moment as husband and wife.
Qaseem and Kamille..... Wow you did your thang with this book, those cousins I was so sick of them they really got on my nerves how can you be jealous of family you support them. It took her about to lose her babies for everything she really wanted to come to her senses. Qaseem was not going no where he loved her even though she left him when things hit the fan he still wanted her even she talked about no having the baby ( broke my heart) Ari that's a good friend she's your ride or die friend😍
