Pug's Sleepover is an incredibly fun book that will make you wish you were part of Bella's sleepover with Jack and Luna! It's all about the exciting adventures and mishaps that happen during their special night together.
Bella has a thousand ideas for sleepover themes, and she finally decides on a pirate theme. But oh no! Bob accidentally ruins Bella's pirate decorations while he's playing around. How will he make it up to her? Well, Bob is a clever pug, and he quickly finds a solution to fix the decorations and save the day.
But the surprises don't stop there! The biggest disaster comes when Jack reveals a surprise of his own. Instead of having the sleepover inside, they'll be sleeping outside in a tent! Bella has packed so many things that the tent becomes overstuffed. What will they do?
The most exciting part of the book is when Bella takes a piece of cardboard and creates a gigantic pirate flag. But instead of a skull head, she paints a dog's head with white hair. It's a hilarious and unexpected twist that had me giggling with delight.
The basic lesson I learned from this book is that even if you don't get much sleep during sleepovers, you can still have a ton of fun. It's not about the amount of sleep you get, but about the memorable experiences and adventures you have with your friends. That's what makes sleepovers so special.

Bub and Bella are going to go over to Jack and Luna's for a sleepover in a few days. Bella seems to think sleepovers need a lot of planning. Bub had no idea. He's never been to a sleepover before. But will the sleepover be everything Bella planned?
I've never heard of having a theme for a sleepover before unless it is for a birthday party. I hope Bella's planning doesn't make little readers feel pressure to do as much prep as she does. Things go badly at first, but simple alternative activities keep the night fun (and they are things much easier for readers to do themselves).

This book was okay. Bub the pug is excited for the sleepover party that is coming up. Bella decides to make it a pirate themed party, but Bub accidentally ruins her decoration. Then they struggle to fit everything in a tent.
