If imitation is a compliment, then all of Mary Kim Schrek's books get my highest compliments. When I'm reading one of her poetry collections, I catch myself creating verses about everyday life--the emails growing in my Inbox at work, an imaginary story about the grocery store clerk's sparkling fingernails, my puppy's fascination with staring out the window... She will bring out the poet in you.
