The Destined Relationship -
OMG! This is a mind blowing enemies to lovers story, that will leave you feeling like you have just finished a ride on a rollercoaster. I went through a myriad of emotions as I read this story, but ultimately I was really happy the characters realised they were fated to be together and finally worked together towards a happily ever after. I found it difficult to take a break from reading once I started and I am sure you will be hooked on the story, just as much as me. Grab a copy of this book now and you won’t regret the hours spent reading it.

A nicely written story with extraordinary characters and a twisty storyline that captures your attention from the start and keeps you hooked and invested and turning the pages until the end. A compelling love story between a playboy hero and a determined heroine all set in the corporate world of the advertising business. This story is passionate, seductive and sexy. This Troy and MacKenzie story. An enemies-to-lovers romance, hate-to-love vibes, surprise pregnancy romance, filled with secrets, lies, deception, lust, enemies, anger, angst, tension, emotions, revelations, resentment, rivalry, surprises, betrayal, drama, workplace romance, billionaire romance, insta-lust, pain, steam, passion, power exchange, power play, passion, forgiveness, acceptance, sabotage, double-cross and love.

Troy is working on a campaign with Elecoms who want Griffin Solutions to also work together on the campaign and pitch an ad to see who win the contract. Griffin Solutions is doing a marketing campaign for Victor Toussaint, he's bringing his jewelry range to state and Troy want in on it.
Troy thought that he wouldn't see MacKenzie again after their one night stand, the woman who rocked his world and the one person who he would actually call after his one stand. He knew that he had to work with someone from Griffin name Mack Frye on the campaign and he thought that it was a man. Imagine his surprise when he meet Mack from Griffin he was blown away. At first he thought that she had tracked him down and he wondering what she was doing in his office. But she was all business, confident and irrognant and let him know that it was a no strings attached night and she was there for business and that she was also going to crush him and win the contract. MacKenzie is a beautiful, driven, intelligent, successful and competitive businesswoman. Troy is a handsome, wealthy, driven and competitive businessman who like to play the field. Mack sister Rachel is sick and she's worried that she may lose her sister to the same illness that kill their mom pulmonary embolism. Mack and Troy was working on the campaign when she received a call from the hospital that her sister came in due to breathing problems. She cancelled the meeting and rushed to the hospital, as it turns out her sister had the same illness. She had to watch the children since Rachel would be hospitalize and Troy volunteered to come to house and finish the meeting. The storm trapped them inside so he had to stay the whole weekend, they succumb to their attraction and slept together again. The were scheduled for a meeting with client but he had to leave town and pushed the meeting back to a month and he was going in a different direction with the concept, one that was right up MacKenzie's alley but because of his competitiveness he withheld that information my Mack which would give him an advance over her.

Shedding the Scars of Childhood to Embrace Romantic Love as an Adult
As individuals mature from adolescence into adulthood, they begin to recognize how childhood experiences shaped the adult that they have become. Mackenzie—Mack—Frye, beautiful woman with blonde, pixie styled hair and sparkling eyes was a marketing specialist with Griffin Solutions, absolutely knows that her childhood was a significant influence in shaping adult she has become.
The youngest of 6, Mackenzie’s older sister and her four older brothers had the gift of growing up with both of their parents. Unfortunately, for Mackenzie she was a late in life surprise for her parents, entering the family unit when her 5 siblings were on the verge of adulthood. And so, as the youngest, she was absolutely surrounded by love, but she had no sibling with whom she could share her childhood. And, when her older mom died from an embolism, and dad sought to lessen his pain of the loss with alcohol, her only sister Rachel became the surrogate mom to the youngest sibling.
Similarly, Troy Larson and his older brother, Scott’s who share coloring—dark hair and grey eyes—also share a childhood experience which broke their innocence and shaped their adulthood. Their middle brother, Jake, died when the brothers were young, leaving the surviving brothers with never fully settled grief over the loss of the middle brother, and shaping the pathway each brother followed into adulthood. Scott became a doctor—a pediatrician—focused on saving lives of children, while Troy the younger brother determined that he would never have children so that he would not live in fear of harm coming to his child, and by extension, hurting him as the parent.
Now, fate has brought the two scarred adults—Mackenzie and Troy—together by chance. First, as strangers, the two share drinks and a night together by chance, developing an immediate and hot attraction. Then fate brings them together again through a work challenge. Both are marketing specialists, and they are unexpectedly representing their firms in crafting pitches for the promotion of a high-end jewelry line by Victor Toussaint, placing them in competition. And, drawn to each other through attraction and intimacy, but repelled by the desire to win the ad campaign competition, Mackenzie and Troy must manage their childhood trauma if they are to move forward as healthy adults who can manage their childhood traumas.
The tale of the warring marketing specialists and scarred adults is engaging, but the author needed to tighten the narrative by cutting repetitive concepts of the primary characters' childhood traumas.

Mackenzie, Mack, Frye is an upfront, ambitious, and total alpha female. She holds her own in opinions and intelligence. While out on a night of celebration with her friend Hailey, she notices two attractive men at the bar and invites them over in conversation and drinking.
Troy Larson is one of those men. He too has an alpha personality. He is best friends with his older brother Scott, still carries the hurt of losing his other brother Jake, and likes the look of Mackenzie. Chemistry is in overdrive. They do get involved in a one night stand.
These two will find each other again as they both compete to win a lucrative marketing deal from a sought after client. They work together but are representing different agencies. There is plenty of naughtiness happening🔥🥵🔥 but how can they keep it professional?? Mackenzie will then be dealing with her sick older sister who raised her, taking care of her nieces and nephew, Troy, her growing feelings, and working to win her marketing efforts. Troy knows Mackenzie is far smarter than he is. He will do anything to win. Anything!! He will turn shady by keeping certain info away from her on this campaign competition.😱 Yeah. Will Troy finally tell her the truth? Or did he just ruin the best thing that ever happened to him? What will Mackenzie do when she finds out the lengths that Troy took to win? Folks, you are in for a tilt on the head for this story. Yes we have rivals, and alpha billionaires. We also have a companion that gives toe for toe back to him.
We are met with Troy and MacKenzie (Mack). They run into each other at a bar one night, and sparks fly, but not so much for numbers the next morning. They are met with surprise when they find they are with rival companies who are biding for the same proposal.
I know you can read the description, but this book is SOOOOO much more! Its not one more dominate than the other. These two are SO well matching, living very similar lives, just doing it differently. These two match well with smarts, wit, and passion for the jobs.
I think what i enjoy most of the book is Josie's take on her lead man Troy. Oh for sure he's got cockness, alphaness, and grit down to an art. He has such compassion. He struck me as so genuine. He really respects Mack for who she is, and doens't try to talk down to her, or be nothing but honest.
We see these two bond as they go through work plans, family emergencies, and pure unadulterated passion for each other. You will be giving yourself a TREAT for taking the time to read this book!!!

This is a great addition to the Forbidden Alpha Billionaires Series where we get to discover a one night stand with Mackenzie, a young strong headed professional and Troy, a bit older successful businessman and how their journey takes them on some ups and downs. They are surprised to find themselves working together as competitors from different companies on a marketing campaign. Once over the shock they find themselves not being able to stay professional, Troy enters her private life when Mack is caring for her nieces and nephew when her sister has a health emergency. Mack finds herself wanting more with Troy only for Troy to keep important changes on the campaign to himself getting an advantage. Both Mack and Troy have trauma from their childhoods that have shared their beliefs and breaking the negativity around them is hard for one of them to realize as it’s causing them pain and the one they love. Growing up and doing what’s necessary to move past their past gives them a chance to find genuine love and family! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I thought that Knocked Up By My Rival by Josie Hart was a witty and exciting book. I loved the all characters in this book. They had depth and crazy funny chemistry together. I thought that the story was original, had the right amount of drama, and was a total page-turning book. I enjoyed the angst and the grovel was on point. Josie Hart has created a beautifully written world and brought to life characters that had my heart breaking, and soaring and had my mouth dropping.
Mackenzie is a stubborn, independent, and caring woman. I loved her loyalty to her sister. She had a backbone and didn't give up. She was witty and had me laughing out loud a few times. Troy was a playboy who was used to winning at all costs. I loved his growth throughout and his aha moment in this book. I thought that Mack and Troy had burn the pages of my book chemistry. They were kismet. I loved the push and pull, the heartbreak, and all the rest of the feelings I had reading this book.
I love a good surprise pregnancy trope and this has to be one of my top 5 this year.

Troy & Mackenzie are paired up to compete against each other in winning a contract. They mesh together outside of work but when they work on this contract, all bets are off & they are both highly competitive. The client calls Troy saying he changed his mind & wants the advertising ideas to follow a different direction, Troy’s supposed to tell Mackenzie but his competitive side withholds telling her. As the deadline approaches, he has a change of heart wanting to tell her but her personal life is spiraling & she doesn’t want to talk about the contract. Troy’s run out of time & may have won the contract but at what cost when he’s fallen in love with Mackenzie? Can his error in judgement be fixed? Will Mackenzie be able to give Troy a second chance?
This novel is worth reading as the emotions are strong with Troy & Mackenzie plus her sister Rachel has issues happening in her life also. Definitely a must-read novel pulling you into the story. Well done!

Troy has serious commitment issues due to the sudden death of his younger brother. To fill the gap he threw himself into work. This was absolutely fine until he met Mack. Then he had creeping feelings of guilt that his over zealous competitive behaviour might ruin something important to him.
Mack has avoided more than fleeting connections because of the early and sudden death of her mother. From a young age her older sister Rachel raised her. However her instantaneous and passionate attachment to Troy blind sides her and makes her start to rethink.
A moment of deep hurt when Troy's competitive nature threatens to end things before they truly get started. Can he mend bridges?
A wonderful love story watching these two lonely people realise that a long term relationship is what they both want and need.

Troy and Mackenzie have a one-night stand and find out later that they would be working together. Troy couldn't get Mackenzie out of his mind so imagine his surprise when he comes to the office and find none other than the woman who ghosted him. Now they are stuck together working and together and the sparks are going off and about to explode. Working together and working off their frustrations with each other creates another problem. Has these two finally come to a solution! This story kept me glued to the pages from start to finish.

Wowsa this book will definitely have you hooked from the beginning until the end and still have you wanting more from them. When a one night stand turns out to be your competition but the attraction is to strong to resist who ends up winning in the end? It's such a great story that will captivate you and connect you with the characters emotions and swooning with them both.I throughly enjoyed this story and got engrossed in it and didn't want it to end lol. Josie Hart is one author is a must read and you will definitely fall in love with her books.

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. Emotional story about losing a loved one and not dealing with that loss. Both Troy and Mackenzie came across a little too juvenile with their reactions/ behaviours which led to a pretty angsty read, which also felt like it dragged and grew repetitive at some points. But there is a sweet HEA when they both finally figure out what is important to hold on to and what to let go.

This is a book about two rivals that have so much in common. They both lost a family member when they were young and that had molded how they thought their lives should be. MacKenzie and Troy meet at a bar and have a one night stand and a couple days later find out they will be working together on an ad campaign but only one will win the account.
They both start feeling things they never expected but they fight them.
This story has obstacles, medical emergencies and some very steamy scenes with a storyline that is easy to imagine yourself in and some amazing characters.

This is Book 3 in the Forbidden Alpha Billionaires Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is an enemies to lovers romance between Mackenzie and Troy. What starts out as a one night stand turns into something more. It is a captivating love story with drama and steam, humor and charm, sexual tension and chemistry on every page. Add to that an interesting cast of supporting characters to hold the reader's attention. A page turner with all the feels.

Another great hit by Josie. I loved this book, I laughed and I cried. This was such a good read. Mack and Troy are just two peas in a pod. Both losing someone close and not knowing how to deal with it. This book is really a growing up and understanding what life is like. Josie you have outdone yourself. Keep the writing and I will keep reading.

I enjoyed this book, even though some of the tropes have been over-used (ie main characters sleeping together before knowing that they would be co-workers, but at least he wasn't her boss, I suppose) it was still a decent read. Both Troy and Mack were likeable, as were the side characters - I especially like Scott and hope that he gets his own book. I would definitely read the author's work again, solid four stars.

Mackenzie and her best friend, Hailey, went to a club to celebrate Mack's new job. While they were there, Hailey noticed two men at the bar. Mack initiated a conversation with them, and they all got along excellent. Later on, Hailey developed a headache, so one of the guys offered to take her back to her place. Meanwhile, Mackenzie and the other guy, Troy, hit it off and decided to spend the night together. This story has plenty of romance and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

This book was a page turner from the start. Mackenzie and Troy are both interesting characters in their own right, but when they are together the scenes are HOT! These characters both have loss from their past that has them working hard at their jobs now. They are pinned against each other for a job and the sparks keep flying. This is a must read!.

I really enjoyed reading MacKenzie and Troy’s story. All of the characters were described well and they almost come off the pages as I read along. I was pulled into the story immediately and it kept my interest throughout the book! I highly recommend reading this book.

I love Josie’s stories. Troy and Mack met at a bar, and then they had a one night stand, but they didn’t realize that they would meet again. The two tried to stay professional the next few times they met. This book has all the touches to enjoy the story from beginning to end and a happy ending.
