Loved this book like I love all CCs writing! If you love hot Irish mafia men then this is the book for you 🥵 Sean is a possessive alpha type mob boss with (some) morals he meets an unlikely perfect match in a strip club both of them have a past that still haunts them but if they trust each other enough everything will fall into place💜if you haven’t read the Steel ventures books yet why?? Sweet treats 🧁 feel good, light and fluffy, and if you haven’t heard of the Desire Genie 🧞 you are missing out definitely check them out ASAP 🤤

Obsessed is an understatement! Possessive, obsessed, stalker, touch her and die mafia men have me in a choke hold. Sean is head of the mafia, with his right hand man Loch (if you haven’t read Craving Revenge, I suggest you do). Amy is hiding from a dark past and it all catches up to her. The way Sean makes her his is only swoon worthy in a book 🤣
When he calls her “my pulse” 🥵 like who wouldn’t want a man who claims you as his, your the center of his world immediately, gives you whatever you want and is great in bed!
Loch and Rada are in here from Craving Revenge along with Liam and Chloee, Sir Oscar and Eve, and Cat! All side characters but they have their own books!
You do not have to read their books to understand this one but it would help as some information clicks into place then!

Finally! The man who has captured our attention when he appeared in Steel Vengeance has arrived. And boy it was worth the wait!!
I won't give much away because I hate spoilers in reviews! I found the book addictive, and found it hard to put down, the obsession from Sean is intense, and poor Amy has no choice in the matter, but the chemistry between them is HOT!

I'll put this right out there from the start of my review -- this is another C.C. Gedling release I'm glad I read. From the beginning I was hooked. It took no time at all to draw me in. Exceptional writing and nice plot as expected of this author.

Ok, so maybe all that seems a bit bias, but this man Sean, star of Hiding Desire, became my favorite character surpassing the MMC in the series novel he debuted in a few books back, the Steel Vengeance sagas. I'd hoped then he'd get his own starring novel and Ms. Gedling did not disappoint! Hiding Desire can be read as a standalone, but if you'd like a bit of all that and the backstory too, I urge you to skip back and begin with the multibook series which also has a few extra novellas as well.
Sean, an Irish Mafia boss who runs his organization with an iron fist, and
successful "businessman" notices Amy in passing at one of his many businesses. Intrigued and seemingly immediately smitten with her, he has to know more about her, of course. Amy, the MFC, is bad ass in her own right, having her own traumas, demons, and vengeance to come to grips with. Do the meetings with him hold dark ulterior motives?
The plot, its twists, the character development and banter along with the slow relationship kindled without the full-on chapter-two sex one might suspect straight out of the gate with the amount of sexual chemistry these two possesses, kept me from putting this one down very few times until I'd read through it fully.
Triggers? Probably to some they matter, they don't bother me, however, the Author posts them in advance so no secrets. I refuse to give away the entire book as some do in the manner of review. Reviews are about bait, hook, and lure. This book can do that on its own, IMO. If the reviewer spells out all the content, what's the point of reading the book?
C.C. Gedling knocks it out of the park and brings it on home again with this one! A definite read referral.

After reading the prequel, I was very excited about this series, and I was definitely not disappointed. It was worth the wait. As with the other CC Gedling books I’ve read, I was sucked in from the beginning and it was hard to put down. After getting teasers of Sean in other Gedling books, I had a feeling I would fall in love with him when his book came around, and boy did I. A bad boy, brooding, Irish Mafia boss that turns teddy bear for only his girl is my weakness. Add our strong and resilient fmc Amy and bam! Chemistry. …and a great story! Not to mention we get more of Loch and Rada from Craving Revenge. This is a definite must read (you really should start with the Steel Brothers series though if you want to be TOTALLY in the loop. You won’t regret it😉), and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Sean O'Sullivan has been teased in several of C. C. Gedling's other books, and in Hiding Desire we finally get to see this mafia boss shine in all his brutal glory. Sean will revisit old favorites, get a few lap dances, and torture a guy or two all while resisting his obsession to kidnap the woman he has fallen in love with. He's sure he can do better than his dad did, after all. But the past haunts both of them and Sean is driven to possess Amy before anything or any one can threaten her safety.

I absolutely loved this book. I could not put it down. I love how strong Amy was from start to finish. She definitely had some trauma to work through and some things she was running from, but the girl was hard working and was working towards her goals and I have nothing but respect for that kind of character. Sean was definitely a jealous, possessive, obsessive man, and I am here for it. I think the compromises they come to by the end really show their growth, and I think I’m going to have to use that card system myself!

Amy has been on her own for 11 years having to do things she never wanted to just to stay hidden but fighting for a good life. She keeps most everyone at arms length, but did our MMC Sean force his way into her world.
He’s a mafia leader with only protecting her on his mind. I mean he freaking kidnaps her to keep her safe! Like isn’t that the epitome of true love?
This book is pretty short but it’s got a lot in it. Mob wars, betrayals, stalking, kidnapping, smut ;) and much much more. We also get to see some of our past favorite characters!
Read asap, it’s not necessary to read the other books in this universe but it would be great to after so you see all the extra characters stories!

I loved the prequel to this series, but this was even better! We have met Sean in earlier books but he has now got his own book and we get to see him in action.
As the series names suggests the main male characters become obsessed with their women and this was no different. Obviously red flags galore but that’s what makes it so good.
I cannot wait for the next book with Viktor and … (don’t want to say who it is with because spoilers)!

C.C. really bats it out of the park with Sean and Amy. You get a jealous, brooding Mafia boss MMC and a strong minded, stubborn FMC. Sure, they may not have the fairytale romance, but let's be honest is that always what you want? You get more of Rada and Loch. You get a little something something from the Steel Brothers. You get foreshadowing of future books. It's all wrapped up in a not so nice package. I loved it from page one and couldn't stop swiping to the next page. 💜 Can't wait for more!

This was a quick and easy read! I love how the author has her books flow together. We got to see a little of the Steel Brothers and foreshadowing for the future books. Amy was strong from start to finish. She had some trauma that she was working through and some things that she was running from. But she continued to work towards her goals. Sean was jealous, possessive and obsessed with Amy. They both had growth and made compromises to work together.

Sean has played the jokester fixit man in CC's steel series and here we get to see all the onion layers that make up Sean! It's deadly, decisive, possessive sexy and hot! I love that Anna wasn't a pure princess but a survivalist unafraid to use her assets! Perfect pairing, loved how CC drew me in and made me want more!!

Fantastic ride
Sean is just as hot in his own crossover standalone from the Steel Ventures books. He's definitely up there on my list of bad boy sexy favorites with his Irish dialect. Amy is so lovable. Together, they make an explosive couple on an epic adventure of finding the true monsters running amuck and touching what doesn't belong to them.

SO. GOOD. I needed a safe read where the MMC wanted nothing but the FMC and the explosive jealousy just made everything better. Sean is one of my top MMCs, tbh. Everything is about Amy from the start. He is ALL in.

This was an amazing story from CC Gedling, hooks in every chapter reeling you further and further into this dark, brutal mafia world until the very end. And oh what an end and a twist that I'm betting will lead to more swooning, and gripping mafia men. The characters are full of strong, intense emotions of love, loyalty and protection at all cost and the mafia world created did not disappoint.

I might be a bit biased, I love Claire's writing 😅 But she can tell you I make my criticism clear, and I'm a hard reader to please!
Mafia is not my genre, and I don't like moraly grey characters. However, if I consider Sean as a mafia man and in his genre, he learned his lesson - his character arc was great. Amy also grew and it was interesting to read about. The writing is, as always, fluent and realistic, the humor subtle, clever and fun as I like it.
Waiting impatiently for the next books!

Sean seems to always be unhinged… but is he really? He is enchanted with Desire immediately and in his own unique possessive, protective, alpha ways slowly wins her over.
Amy is strong but always in hiding and always trying to stay safe and improve her circumstance but she has trust issues and wants to be independent. Can she cope with a man who is not used to being told no?

I went into this series totally blind. I liked the cover of the prequel novella, Craving Revenge, and I was immediately hooked.
This is Sean and Amy’s story. And as per the rules of OTT and Obsessive and Possessive mafia men, Sean is no exception. He is immediately smitten by a dancer at his club. He must have her. He can’t go a few minutes without thoughts of her. She’s fiery, smart and seductive. She’s also got secrets that she’d rather never see the light of day.
Sean wants to help her, protect her and most of all, love her.
The story is well paced and well developed. The character development is not rushed and their POVs/ inner dialogue helps the reader to really appreciate who they are. Characters from previously written series are in this book. They’ve intrigued me. And now I’m curious enough to go back to her other work.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to more by this author.

I've been waiting a long time for this book. CC Gedling is an author that has never disappointed me. After reading Craving Revanche, the free prequel to her new Mafia series, I couldn't wait to read Hiding Desire.
I already knew Sean as Liam's cousin (Steel Vengeance). I was fascinated by him even then. The feared, 🥵 boss of the Irish Mafia is obsessed with Amy from the first moment he sees her. He ruthlessly risks everything to possess her.
Amy has a very dark past, which is revealed throughout the story. She is strong and will stop at nothing to achieve her goal of becoming a dentist. Her new boss is everything she swore to avoid. Nevertheless, she finds it hard to resist his attraction.
The book meets all my expectations and I 😍 it. The story is exciting and kept me hooked until the end. I didn't expect some of the twists and turns. The development of the relationship between Amy and Sean made me sweat more than once 🥵.
As a bonus, we also get to meet beloved characters from CC's previous books.

Oh my goodness, I loved this novel! I have read other novels by this author and loved them, but I think this novel is my favorite so far. I was so excited to jump into this novel and man oh man I was not disappointed. From the first chapter on I was hooked and pulled into this novel. I just could not put it down, even if it meant staying up all night reading. It was so worth losing sleep over, I did not want this novel to end. I loved the main characters Amy and Sean. I loved Amy, she was a strong character willing to do what ever she had to do to get thru. But I also loved Sean, even with with faults and all. I loved the chemistry, it was so so good! I loved when a novel pulls me in and I just can't bear to put it down because I need to know what is coming next. This novel checked all of my boxes. I did not want it to end. I can't wait to see what is coming next from this author.

Let me start off by saying I did not know what to expect, Mafia is not my normal trope of choice, but I gave it a chance since I love author CC Gedling's work. Main character Sean has had small appearances in the Steel Brother's series (if you haven't read them go back and read them) and his snarky attitude amused me. He lived up to every bit the Mafia boss persona. He's the guy you would probably smack in the face in real life due to his overbearing personality, but a great book BF. FL Amy easily became a loved character, she has so much depth to her and boy the twist and turns this girl brings with her!
Please keep in mind there is a bit abuse and clearly violence being Mafia based, so if you can't handle it this one isn't for you. But if you enjoy a bit of dark, twisted, masculine, aggressive spicy love this is a must read.

Wow just an amazing book! Sean did annoy me initially but so grew in me but Amy was a survivor.
Stripper Amy quickly catches the attention of the new owner of the club she works at. Sean soon becomes obsessed with having her.
The relationship between Amy and Sean is very forced from the start. He won't take no for an answer and poor Amy gets dragged along for the ride but she is in danger and Sean is just trying to keep her safe.
Their chemistry is certainly hard to miss as is the passion that comes even though it's a slow build romance. I really enjoyed the connection they had as well as with others like Loch and Rada.
Extremely well done and i have no hesitation in recommending this book. I can't wait for the next book in the series. So good!!!

Their chemistry is certainly hard to miss as is the passion that comes even though it's a slow build romance. I really enjoyed the connection they had as well as with others like Loch and Rada.
Extremely well done and i have no hesitation in recommending this book. I can't wait for the next book in the series. So good!!!

I was so, so excited for Sean's book! I absolutely adored him in the previous series and I loved him here. As expected, it was instalove on Sean's end but it worked in this book. C.C. does such a good job with instalove in her book that I don't mind it. I loved how he supported Amy's career, even if he didn't want her bent over checking any man's mouth as a dentist! Sean is unhinged and it was hilarious! I loved how his men knew not to look at her, the bond Amy made with her bodyguard, it was all such a fun read. I thought from the first book everyone knew who the traitor was but I guess not - did I miss something? Regardless, we get some action, lots of touch her/look at her and die vibes, which I'm all about. Fabulous start to the series.

Most awaited book for me and let me say it didn't disappointed me. Author did wonders with this book. It was well written.

Good book with great characters
I really enjoyed this book. The author created great characters that were likable. The MMC, although a controlling dominating alpha male, he was likable. The FMC was a strong person who did what she needed to survive and reach her dreams.
I don't usually like controlling alpha males, but the author did a good job with the MMC. He was willing to compromise, eventually 😂
The side characters were interesting, and it would be great to read their stories one day. I'm going to go back and see what other books the author has written as I enjoyed joy her type of writing with world building, the characters, and the storyline.
