Wanting Her Boss is a sapphic age-gap romance that ventures into the complicated dynamics of a fake romance paired with a workplace crush. Payton (28) finds herself entangled in a pretend relationship with her hot older boss, Madison (44), on whom she has a significant crush. The premise sets the stage for undeniable chemistry, but the main hero(ine) here is the smut. This book is hot 🔥🔥🔥
Payton is clearly smitten with Madison, wearing her heart openly, in stark contrast to Madison. Madison, initially closed off and complex, gradually unveils a more vulnerable side, which is captivating to witness. Their dynamic, with Payton’s openness and Madison’s evolving openness, creates an engaging chemistry between them. They complement each other well, making for an intriguing pairing.
The narrative oscillates between passionate moments and tangled emotional conflicts, capturing the essence of a forbidden romance. However, the depth and complexity of their relationship isn't as thoroughly explored as it could have been, but it's perfect if you're looking for a steamy, easy read.
This was a messy and silly and cute story. I've decided this year I will just let myself enjoy silly stories that are kind of like... Cotton candy. They are fun in small doses but there isn't much to them and if you have too much you'll probably get sick of them. There's no need to take them too seriously and they are good for a nice afternoon when you're not looking to use a lot of brain power but rather some relaxing time.
Loving Carol Wyatt’s storytelling in these kind of books has been exciting and interesting. I personally loved this one. The boss crush that Payton had on Madison, although very real, she thought was well hidden. But when Madison invites Payton to London to be her date and fake girlfriend for her ex-wife’s wedding, Payton agrees, knowing things were not going to be easy. However, while there Madison seems to be attracted to Payton and after joining her ex wife and fiancée for dinner and drinks, slightly drunk, Madison gives in to temptation. Both not expecting the pull towards each other, the heat between them and the unbelievable chemistry, throwing off both their games. This one has Payton being the more determined one to prove that a relationship could work but Madison is sticking by her very bad track record with relationships and her love of her work that holds her full attention. But things were confusing her and she needed to figure it out before she hurts Payton. I loved these two characters and their connection was felt right through the pages written.
When Payton’s boss Madison asks her to be her pretend girlfriend, it could be the worst or best thing that could happen, given Payton’s massive crush on the hot older woman. The closer they get, the harder it is to deny their sizzling chemistry. Can a fake romance and a causal fling lead to something real and permanent?
Wanting Her Boss is a spicy sapphic age gap romance that delves into all the torrid fantasies of a forbidden crush. Payton, with her unabashed attraction to her boss, is an open and endearing character. Madison, on the other hand, is more complex. On the surface, she’s a ruthless opportunist who exploits Payton’s feelings for her own benefit, but the story slowly peels back the hidden feelings and motivations behind her manipulations. Watching the chemistry spark then combust between the two women is enthralling, and the suspense of wondering if and when they’ll ever get their happy ending keeps the pages turning.
If you enjoy passionate age gap, boss/employee romances, you’ll find Wanting Her Boss irresistible.
Madison helps troubled people with a media problem. Her personal assistant, Payton is beautiful and single! Being invited to her ex wife's wedding and still being single takes a bite out of Madison and her ex is marrying someone who is the same age as Payton! Madison is expected to bring a plus one. What she going to do, she has not dated since her divorce and Patron is working for her!? Enjoy! A side note here. When I received my ebook, I noticed that there were blank whole pages missing and at one time the conversations did not match. Like several pages were missing.
4 stars. Fake dating between Peyton and her boss Madison. Yes, please. I love fake dating so this worked for me. I loved both characters and their chemistry was so good. Peyton is smitten with Madison and wears her heart on her sleeve where Madison is more of an Ice Queen, closed off but also complex. I loved watching her slowly letting her guard down and be vulnerable. They were great together. Also, the smut was extremely hot in this and it was plentiful. The way this ended was perfect for them and I just thoroughly enjoyed this from beginning to end.
This was another great book from my top age gap author! The characters were easy to like and the story had a good flow to it. Definitely pick this one up, especially if you're looking for a quick read. Carol always leaves me wanting more with these stories and I think that is a sign of a really good author. Might need to start demanding follow ups for my fave couples. :)
Yet another great short story from this author. I kinda liked the pacing on this one better than the last book. You got more of a sense of the relationship growing despite the fears held. It all comes together in a lovely HEA as expected. These books really do make you smile.
Payton annoyed the hell out of me after about 70% in. she really gave me whiplash with her decisions cause my gosh.
if this was a little longer and had time to develop some of the plot I most likely would have loved this. but for what it is I guess its fine, especially if u don’t mind the back and forth.
When working with her boss that she has a crush on , Payton could not help but say yes to be her fake girlfriend for a week. Madison ex is getting married and wants to have a plus one and not be alone. Things get weird between them but can they handle it together. A sweet story to read
I enjoyed this book. It is a story of an age gap boss 16 years older than her PA. Never knew a spark was there until they saw each other outside of work. Sparks flew between Madison and Payton. The chemistry was undeniable. It had some hot scenes. It is a great fast read.
Finally read this amazing love story. Great story, with some angs but a HEA 😊. 🔥 steamy scenes in the mix, left me anxious waiting for her next book. A 5 🌟 all the way.
I love Ms. Wyatt’s books and this one doesn’t fail. I’m a sucker for a HEA. Payton is an open hearted romantic and Madison is downer. Doesn’t think lasting love is for her. She’s very wrong.
At last a book that gets its right. Perfect sex scenes I've read so far and the right balance in the storyline between lust, longing, age gap, angst and character depth. I just wish it was longer.
I'm not done with it, but my pausing it wasn't because it wasn't super fun and I didn't absolutely love it. I just got busy. It honestly shockingly brought me out of a slump and I giggled so hard at many things.
