Wingmom Stories #2

All for Show

Rate this book
Co-stars. Fake lovers. Real enemies.

I’ve landed my dream debut role on the TV crime series, Urban Dawn, but my sexy co-star and on-screen beau, Maddox Winter, barely knows I exist. He’s too busy with his gold-digging arm candy—usually D-listers trying to make it in Y’allywood, Atlanta’s hot cinematic scene.

I’m thrilled to see my name, Riley Glenn, at the top of the credits…even if the media has launched a smear campaign against me.

When an accidental naked entanglement lands Maddox and me on the cover of Love Buzz, the news spreads like norovirus on a cruise ship. With ratings skyrocketing, our director casts us into a faux relationship, and my wackadoodle godmother steps in to help out.

In the midst of it all, I’m grieving the loss of my grams. While sprinkling her ashes in Scotland, I experience a new Maddox who brews my coffee and carries me through a field of cow pies. Oddly, our pretend relationship feels like the only real thing in our lives.

But when our secret drops, it could be the end of our act, on and off screen.

*Y'allywood Billionaire is a witty, heartfelt stand-alone romcom mystery with adult language and steamy, open-door chemistry that will have you rooting for a happily-ever-after.

This is book 2 in Weiss' Wingmom Stories series. Can easily be read as a stand alone. Our main characters are actors and co-stars Riley and Maddox. Riley is new to acting and finds fame comes with some hard choices and harder consequences. Maddox grew up with fame and has kept people at a distance until his connection with Riley becomes all too real. A fun fake to real relationship romance with some sweet, a bit of heat and laughs along the way to a sweet HEA. Well written with captivating characters who experience growth and smooth flowing story line. I can't wait for more!

Fun story, even if everyone is rich and privileged.

The characters are believable and it stands alone as an independent book but I want to read the other books in the series.

Good use of generational trauma and the strained relationships of life. Also the paparazzi is shown as the ultimate bad guys.

I also like the adjacent characters showing the power of found family.

Loved this book! It’s funny and sexy and a lot of fun! I love all things Hollywood and now I know I love Y’allywood, too! Maddox and Riley’s enemies-to-lovers, fake engagement story made me laugh and swoon! Such a fun, fast, easy read! Wonderful romcom!

This book was a fun romp through a fake celebrity relationship. Maddox and Riley are costars caught in a potentially compromising situation. This leads to fake dating, which leads to, well, we all know what that leads to.

The banter is witty, the characters enjoyable. There are no real surprises, but I don't need any when enjoying a rom-com. There is, however, some drama, but what would a romance be without some drama? Boring, that's what. Terra's writing style is highly engaging and really delightful to read. This is exactly the type of book I needed for my weekend.

Riley downs a shot of vodka as she heads for the set. She is not a stripper and needs whatever courage she can find to perform the not-so-private lap dance in front of engineers, set designers, makeup artists, writers, the director and don't forget all the cameras... she is hoping she doesn't totally embarrass herself.

An experienced actor would be challenged with this scene, but as a rookie she is plain out terrified. She only landed this part because she resembled the co-star who is currently in rehab. This is her seventh episode and to make it even more challenging she thinks her co-star, the one she is getting ready to be up close and personal with, can't stand her.

Not that she cares for the gorgeous star with the never-ending D-list actresses in his bed, but he totally ignores her having never said a word unless they are on set which makes her even more insecure. But when she sees his physical reaction to her lap dance in a thong and pasties, the only thing keeping her from being totally nude, her nervousness drops away and she puts everything she has into her dance.

The next day she gets a 911 call from her godmother and heads to the address Skye texts her. When she takes in the two nude women who have to be hitting their eighties she gives them high-fives in her head until they tell her that she can't enter unless she strips of everything, even her shoes. As she is trying to explain she is just there to check on her godmother she notices a gorgeous man stripping and putting his clothes in the trunk of his car she starts to wonder if giving up to their demands isn't such a bad idea.

Until she realizes that the naked man heading in their direction is none other than her co-star Maddox Winter.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed (some more than others lol 😅😅😅). If you are looking for a laugh-out-loud romance this is the book for you.

This book is action-packed and will keep you laughing at the situations that Riley and Maddox find themselves in. Riley has to deal with on-set jealousies that lead to blackmail, cyberbullying and out-of-control paparazzi.

Highly recommend!

Hey, Amazon MGM Studios! Please, please, please make this book into a movie! Atlanta is the film capital of the South, and this book is Y’ALLYWOOD BILLIONAIRE -it’s the perfect title for the most amazing story. All the Wingmom books would make a great streaming series on Prime Video! Seriously!

Ms. Weiss is my favorite author. She writes ROM-COMS with heart, humor, and just the right amount of heat to keep me turning the pages without blushing in public. LOL. I have read all her books and always pre-ordered her upcoming stories because I cannot wait to read them! When they’re released, I stop everything and devour her book in one sitting. I have a TOTAL BOOK HANGOVER every time I read her stories.

Ms. Weiss combines hilarious, clever romances with characters we love to hate but grow to love. I enjoyed how she incorporated Georgia’s robust film industry in this book and named it Y’allywood! It’s so true! I live in Atlanta, and the author perfectly captured the setting.

In this particular Wingmom book, Riley Glenn is an aspiring actress brought onto a show to replace a beloved star forced into rehab solely because she’s a dead-ringer look-alike for her. Of course, Riley and the costar, Maddox Winter, the consummate playboy and professional actor, hate each other. Still, sparks fly between the two actors, but they hate each other. Due to a mishap, Riley and Maddox are forced to play pretend lovers. Riley is talented, and the chemistry between the two actors propels the second TV season off the charts. Our favorite Wingmom, Skye, is the perfect amount of crazy and wonderful to guide Riley along her path to success and love.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! I highly recommend it, and Terra Weiss, the author, too!

This is my absolute favorite read of the year! Yes, I know the year has just started, but it’s going to be difficult to find a book that’s going to beat this read!

The plot is fun.

The characters are well developed and relatable.

The journey is exciting.

The writing is flowing.

This book was so much fun, when my husband said, “oh no, not another romance”, I immediately began taking him on the journey of the book and he backed off! It’s perfectly situated to be the next fun rom-com movie and should that happen, in my mind, I’ve already cast the stars!

Through happenstance, Riley and Maddox are thrust into a fake “actor’s romance” that of course turns into a real romance. However, the author does a fantastic job of making sure it doesn’t become cliche. Each protagonist has their own equally complicated back-story, not unlike all of us who might read the book, I can relate! The depth of the cast and characters makes it so much more interesting to travel the journey with them, as they experience surprises and real-life events and life-changing events.

I absolutely devoured the book and the added bonus chapters. When I woke this morning, I was actually saddened that I wasn’t going to be able to continue the journey with this fantastic cast of characters and excited to see there’s another book in the series.

This is the first book I’ve read from author Terra Weiss and if this is an example of her writing, I plan on reading all of her work. Her prose is realistic and extremely flowing. It’s a dream to read and just tons of fun! I highly recommend this book. Wish I could give it 6-stars!

Riley has a complicated relationship with her parents. No matter what she does its never good enough, or she's not good enough. Always wanting to be an actress, she's happy when her godmothers partner gets a a role in a series. Even that's wrong in her parents eyes so she walks away and follows her dream. It's what her late Grams would've told her to do. Maddox is the lead actor in the series, and he's totally full of himself, always has a different woman on his arm. Never having a serious relationship and always has a cocky smirk, a bodyguard close by and an ego to big for his own good. But there's just something about him Riley can't fathom out, just sometimes that smirk disappears and there's that vulnerable look in his eyes. Then the unthinkable happens the press catches them both in a compromising position at a nudist beach. Their lives are turned upside down. This is one of those stories that actually covers some serious issues. I must say that the way this story is portrayed is so believable and the twist and turns even though some are quite hilarious are things that are commonplace in real life. I loved how the two main characters help each other overcome the hurdles they face. I received this as an ARC copy and this is my own honest opinion and review of the book. I'm hoping there maybe a book for Eva and West I really think there's another story to be found with them. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have.

As a fan of this author, I jumped at the chance to get my hands on her new release, knowing it would be a good read. And it was!

Maddox and Riley have a working relationship that is not entirely comfortable, but things aren't always as they seem. This is one of the underlying threads winding through this read.

When Skye (Riley's free spirited Godmother) and Maddox's famous father Billy Road (who just happens to be with Skye) call the two of them for help, they find themselves in trouble. The fix? Begin a public fake relationship, and let the paparazzi run with it. Unfortunately it doesn't take long for things to go sideways. When they figure out fake isn't fake anymore, the chemistry between these two is steamy and addictive. 😉

This author consistently delivers engaging and entertaining stories that are hard to put down. These characters are easy to connect with and enjoy. I love how similar the backstories of these two are, and how they fit together. The HEA left me smiling and happy.

I have enjoyed this read, and the others in this author's catalog of works, and I recommend you do the same. They are all entertaining, steamy page-turners. I look forward to reading the next one from this talented and creative author.

I was fortunate to receive a free ARC of this story and voluntarily leave my review. ❤

I am hooked! I thought this would be such a cute read; little did I know it was so much more incredible! I loved the cute moments of them but also the real and true difficult daily lives of not only celebrities but everyone.

I couldn’t help but be so attached to Riley!! She was such a fun and relatable character! I hurt so much for her so many times. Her connection to her friends are what really was inspiring. The way that she truly has an incredible godmother is too fun.

Maddox isn’t like how I thought he would be and the way we slowly got to see the real him was intoxicating. I loved those special moments he shared with Riley! So many times I worried for the worst and when it would happen, my stomach would drop in pain for both of them.

I really think Skye took the show of this book when she was in the scene. I would laugh so hard at times thinking of my own godmother. What an amazing book to read! The real life issues brought to light were pretty amazing. I know I was bullied in several different ways when I was younger and it’s heartbreaking to watch. I never said anything so let’s share this story and make sure all of our children know they can say something!

Fun faking leads to real romance with less steam but lots of passion
Ms. Weiss can undoubtedly write some of the funniest, clever romances, especially in this series of standalone, irreverent wingmoms. First off, who knew Atlanta had a booming film-making industry named Y’allywood?! This is where we meet 27yo Riley Glenn, new to the acting scene and 34yo Maddox Winter the professional. Riley has replaced the former actress because Riley has an uncanny likeness to the actress who is in rehab now. Riley is doing a great job and on screen there is a chemistry between she and Maddox which propels this second season to new heights. When a mishap occurs which requires Riley and Maddox to play lovers off camera, things get really interesting. There are paparazzi and a jealous Ex who make things highly difficult for them. Skye is crazy wonderful. Many secondary characters to enjoy. We get to follow up with Sophie from the first book. Lots to like about this book. I volunteered to review an ARC of it through BookSirens.

Terra adds another fun read to Wingmom, Yallywood Billionaire can be read as a standalone but I'd like to encourage you to grab Wingmom as well for Skye and her whimsical character is so easy to love.
We see more of Sophie here as well but what a whirlwind for Riley, as she shows up to Y'allywood , the passing of her beloved grandmother, finding more than she bargained for and is this love or just more acting? Grabbing your copy of Yallywood Billionaire will take you through a wide array of broken relationships, relationships on the mend, and relationships beyond repair but what means the most is seeing bullying comes in many forms and ways. Are you one who buys the gossip columns and takes it at face value or are you one who sees each person in spite of the spotlight, pulling their pants on one leg at a time just like yourself...
I found myself rooting for "Rilox" with each passing page ... worth the read!!! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily.

This was a light, fluffy little book that was just what I needed.

I loved Riley and Maddox. I loved how they were forced into a fake dating situation but their budding friendship and attraction connected them through it. I feel like they complimented each other well and supported each other thru the firestorm of paparazzi and dysfunctional families. Their relationships with their moms was heartbreaking.

There was little spice in it, but it the tension and build up was still good.

I loved Skye and Billy. They were strong side characters who's meddling helped shape the story. I liked the theme of cyberbullying and the unfair judgement on women.

All in all it was super cute if you're in the mood for a cute pick up me. It's fast paced, perfect length for this type of story. I look forward to catching up on all the others. I received this as an ARC from booksirens.com and I am choosing to leave a review.

Riley Glenn follows her dream of being an actress, despite her parents’ disapproval, and wins a part in a series playing an FBI agent, opposite the established star, Maddox Winter.

Madddox Winter is very cool towards Riley, who picked up the part after the previous actress was sidelined.

Riley decides she doesn’t like Maddox anyway, and focuses on her part.

This story has many ups and downs, from the producers of the show deciding that Riley and Maddox should have a fake relationship to boost ratings, to online bullying, and an inheritance that Riley did not foresee, and all the while she is supported by her best friends and her godmother.

There are several surprises in store for readers, which kept me engrossed and wondering what could happen next.
I really enjoyed this book and have no hesitation in awarding it 5 stars.

Who knew a single clumsy moment could change your life so much?

Riley has finally gotten her big break into the career she's always wanted and gets to work with a gorgeous man. The biggest issue is... Maddox appears to hate her.

When an accidental clumsy moment that lands them in a questionable position, caught by the paparazzi, their working relationship is changed drastically, with their bosses demanding they use this opportunity to spin a story about an amazing relationship, which is something neither of them want.
These two must navigate how to act around each other, while making it seem that they've been together for a while.
However, after spending time with each other, maybe they aren't as bad as they both initially thought they would be.. maybe somewhere along the lines they both forgot they were meant to be faking things, and it became real.

Fun and flirty:
This was another great addition to what is an uplifting and slightly wacky series. It could be read as a standalone but it may be more enjoyable to read the previous book first.
This story felt fresh and fun, especially as it was set in Atlanta and not Hollywood. I enjoyed the unexpected mystery aspects and appreciated that it brought awareness to the important topic of cyber bullying.
Riley and Maddox were perfect together and I was so happy when what started out as fake became real. All of the characters felt authentic given that they were flawed yet displayed an inner strength too. My curiosity has been piqued and I am now eager for the next book in the series.

Wild, wacky, hilarious, romantic and surprisingly deep emotionally - this book has an amazing important message about social media and cyber bullying.

This was my first book by this author, and it was definitely memorable and super entertaining. The characters are a bit over-the-top yet with enough realism to make you engage and connect with them.

Maddox is a sexy star hiding behind a cool and indifferent facade and a revolving list of D-list playmates. Riley is a down to earth young woman excited over her chance to live her dream and act.

What happens around them is too crazy to be believed, but incredibly fascinating and addictively fun.

Reilly and Maddox are costars in the series Urban Dawn, but when they are caught in a less than flattering position, they decide to fake date. For ratings.

Are their feelings fake? Or have they developed into something more?

Whilst this book is about the romance between Reilly and Maddox, it covers some very important issues such as cyber bullying.

There was lots of laughs, steam and fun within this story but how it covered the media and cyber bullying was really well written. It is a topic we all need to be more mindful of. Overall a good read.

Thank you to @terraweissauthor and @indie_pen_pr for the advanced copy of this book.

4-star review Y'allywood Billionaire (Wingmom #2) by Terra Weiss
Terra Weiss is a relatively new author to me, and I am surprised I have not read more from this author before. There was a good balance of romance and humour in Y'allywood Billionaire, and I quickly became invested in Maddox Winter and Riley Glenn’s story.
These two are co-stars and when they are caught in a compromising position, they are forced to start a fake relationship.
Of course, we all know that there is a fine line between fake and real and feelings quickly become involved. This was an entertaining, witty story with plenty of heat. It also addresses the issue of cyber bullying which was handled well.
What happens when the truth comes out, will it bring them together or rip them apart?

***ARC REVIEW*** This was definitely a laugh out loud rom.com. Maddox Winter an Riley Glenn find themselves caught up in a faux relationship based upon acting so well in the “Urban Dawn” series. These two end up on a nude beach courtesy of family and the paparazzi shows up and starts a smear campaign against RI-Lox. Delightful reading gets slow reading at some point but guaranteed laughs, mystery, steamy romantic chemistries. Maddox can’t be all that bad while in Scotland to spread Gram’s ashes he carries Riley on his back through piles of cow pie. Great storyline and interesting plots with several characters. Great novel to keep up on and funny. This is a honest review for an excellent ARC.

Maddox and Riley are co-starring in a TV show filmed in Atlanta. He is a known star - this is her first big acting job. They are loosely connected - his step-sister is one of her BFFs - but they are not friends. But when a crazy series of events forces them to fake date, they become close and determine that the line between love and hate is very thin!

This book had some laugh out loud situations. I liked both characters, even thought the situations they find themselves in were a little crazy. I did not read the first book in this series. This worked fine as a stand alone but I think you would understand a bit more if you had read the first book.

I read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Reality versus fantasy. Riley lands a dream job on an established television show. She has always wanted to be an actor, but she doesn't want what comes with it: paparazzi, rumors, and lies. She and her co-star Maddox get caught in a tangled web and find it difficult to get out. Riley, however, along with several supporting quirky characters, is able to use her troubles for good. This entertaining book shows the underside of being popular and trying to find a life balance. It makes the reader consider what is important in life. Thank you to Hidden Gems Books for this free ARC. This review is voluntary and unbiased.

I always love fake relationship romance novels, and this one is no exception to the rule. This book while part of a series can be read as a standalone, and just makes you want to read the rest of the series anyway.
I love a good cute romcom, full of clichés and with a nice HEA, tho I did feel that the HEA was a bit rushed and convenient but it's still a lovely, romantic and cute novel. I was pleasantly surprised to see the author's commitment to denouncing cyber bullying.
I will definitely continue reading works by this author, starting with the rest of the Wingmom Stories series, because I need to know about Wes and Eva omg.

Wonderful characters
An unexpectedly fun and emotional look into the lives of celebrities, and the twists, sacrifices and manipulations they must endure to survive in the pub eye.
A truly engaging cast of characters, main and secondary, a great storyline that’s sweet, steamy, humorous, witty, emotional and realistic with a little mystery and history thrown in for good measure, and a perfect HEA.
Looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series.

There are SO MANY parts of this book that I loved, it was truly hard to put it down. The book can be read as a stand alone, yet is part of the Wingmom series so there are reoccuing characters. Skye is a total comic relief while reading about Riley and Maddox getting to their HEA.

I was honestly moved when the author, Terra Weiss, deals with cyber bullying and the repercussions it can and does cause as part of Riley’s story. Well done along with where readers of this epidemic can find support.

What a fun book! Maddox and Riley are great people and their adventures kept me turning pages! Even better, this book takes a look at a real problem: cyberbullying, a serious problem these days. But I never felt that this book was written solely to be a crusade against cyberbullying. Instead, it was an incredible story with a great plot, yet gave its readers a lot to think about. One totally satisfying package. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author.

I received an ARC of this book. The opinions are my own.

This book is the best!
While it includes issues such as bullying and harassment of women it is an EXCELLENT full novel
Riley is a struggling actress who is estranged from her parents and still mourning the loss of her beloved Grams which is why book opens in a probate lawyer’s office.
Next up is Maddox. He’s got the other star lead opposite Riley.
If you like backstabbing actors, rockstars who find their equal in a free-spirit, impossible romance, and huge castles and jewels in Scotland then you’re in for a treat

Grab this book that has it all!

The chemistry between Maddox and Riley was apparent from the beginning and their romance was a definite forced proximity slow burn. I loved the mystery of the Scottish royal line and I also really enjoyed the aspects of cyber bullying and workplace harassment. Overall this book had more than a romance vibe and set a lot of world building and interest in other books in the series. Definitely recommend.

This is a cute story of two co-workers put in an uncomfortable situation for the sake of saving the show, however appearances are often misleading. Riley is an insecure young woman following her dream of being an actress and her journey in her breakout roll. Riley is such a lovable, sweet, compassionate, carrying and emotional young woman who wins our hearts as she navigates all that is thrown her way, I admire her strength and positivity. Skye and Billy unflappable and eccentric ways had me laughing and wanting more. Appearances are deceiving at times, especially with Maddox, he is a famous actor with a huge heart hidden behind his bad boy facade, reputation, and also dealing with his own issues. I loved the Laire story from Gram, and Farmer is just adorable. This story touches on various issues like cyberbullying, issues with women in the workplace and neglect. This is a wonderful story about two soul mates who seem hopeless and are victimized by the industry they work for, but somehow find the light at the end of a very bleak tunnel. I loved Riley and Maddox story. This story also touches on acceptance, confronting difficult issues and finding closure. I had a lot of fun reading Riley and Maddox story so t's a definite must read.

This is a great read. What happens when a young woman lands a great role on television, opposite the man of her dreams - but then the world of social media begins to trash her? What does that do to the relationship she so badly wants? And how long will it be before they end up in bed - if they do? This is a page turner!
