It took me so long to get into this book. It just seemed to drag and was an overload of information you didn't really need. When the characters talked, one character would say an entire paragraph before the other would even say a word. I thought this book would be something like a Hallmark movie but I didn't really see that at the end. There were emotional parts in the book as you got to know the characters more. I will read another book by this author.
This was a definite Christmas Holiday comedy, with two senior citizens, and their grandchildren racing around. The younger grandchildren have treated grandparents with kid gloves. Grandparents want to let loose, maybe for one last time. One is actually an substitute for an Aunt or Grandmother. Not a religious book.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this. I wish I could also visit all the Christmas places in the book. Starting chapters were really funny.Especially the mouse scene. It was a sweet and cute book. All were likable characters. Heroine was bit unlikable in the starting few chapters but then we come to know her reasoning and she does realise the problem and makes effort to change.
