Asher

I swore I wouldn't sleep until we got Onyx back, but even a shifter can only stay awake for so long. I finally passed out after a few days and woke loathing myself. Raven was at my side, telling me it would be all right, that we’d find her, bring her home, and then kill her father as many times as I’d like. But we didn’t know where she was or if she was even all right.

Raven

Last time we saw our mate she was being carried off by a dragon, hanging from its claws, limp and doing nothing to fight back. But I’d know if she was dead. I had to believe that. And I had to keep Asher from killing himself in the process of saving her. And finalize our matings. It was past time we let down the last of our barriers and welcomed in the gift of Fate. The minute we got Onyx back, I’d make sure that happened.

I loved it!

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. Welcome to Urban Academy. This a the story of Valentina’s new life in the city at The Academy where she learns that the world is much broader and more varied than she ever dreamed, and sometimes a human girl’s fate may twine with that of another kind of being, or three. In this book we bring some focus on Valentina’s friend Raven and her cousin Onyx and the male wolf Asher that fought at their sides. Asher swears he won’t sleep until they get Onyx back, but even a shifter can only stay awake for so long. He finally passes out after a few days and he woke up loathing himself. Raven was at his side, telling him it would be all right, that they’d find her, bring her home, and then kill her father as many times as he’d like, but they didn’t know where she was or if she was even all right. The last time Raven saw her mate Onyx she was being carried off by a dragon, hanging from its claws, limp and doing nothing to fight back, but she’d know if she was dead, she had to believe that, and she had to keep Asher from killing himself in the process of saving her. She also had to finalize their matings for it was past time they let down the last of their barriers and welcome in the gift of Fate. The minute they get Onyx back, she’d make sure that happened. They also have to contend with the final battle with Valentine’s Uncle and Onyx’s Dad Dean and his vampires and dragons and other creatures of the darkness. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I highly recommend to everyone.

Our heroes are very focused on getting our heroine back from the bad guys. They have some unfinished business to attend to before the last battle.

This is book eight of the series. At this point, it is best to start at the beginning.

The story is well written and easy to read, yet with a rather complex and twisted plot involving both a paranormal academy and a reverse harem. Our focus has shifted to another trio of characters, which works great as we get to develop them more and see them try to build a relationship. Of course, there are plenty of complications to get in the way, so it is not going to be easy.
Overall, a great addition to the series and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Highly recommended.

Still no solution

But at least they are mated now. Just know these books (later in series) are not very steamy.

The final fight still is not upon us. They got Onto back and completed the mating other than that nothing really happens again.

Basically I trying to get to that big battle to see if 10 short books was worth the read.

Very enjoyable

I really enjoyed this and loved the characters. I'm glad they got Onyx back from her father's clutches. I can't wait to see what will happen next for them and I hope they get rid of Dean.

Raven, Asher, Onyx finally starting the mating process sad that it had to take onyx getting kidnapped by her dad for that all of them to finally be on the same page
