First I was taken, then I was sold, and now I’m his.
Simona: The man who bought me is sinfully gorgeous—a tatted-up wall of muscle who assures me that I’m safe with him. But he can’t let me go. Not yet anyway. He and his brothers need my help to find someone. I agree to help them, not having any idea it’s going to lead us into a nest of vipers. If their venom doesn’t get me….his will. Lines blur between the two of us, And I no longer feel like it’s all for show. Because the truth is, Danil owns me…every single part of me. Turns out being owned by the Bratva boss isn’t such a bad thing after all.
Danil: The second I saw her, I knew I had to have her. I would’ve paid anything to make her mine. It was supposed to be fake. I wasn’t supposed to fall for her, But the second I won the bid, I knew I’d never be able to let her go. I’m a man who likes to be in control, and Simona gives it all up for me. She bends to my will, taking everything I want to give her. Turns out I want to give her everything.
This is the second book in a 5-book series. Each book will feature a different brother, and although each love story will be complete, the storyline started in the first book will not be completed until book 5. These books should be read in order.
WARNING: This is a very steamy dark Bratva romance, and it does contain triggering content. Please see warning at beginning of novel and read responsibly.
Book info - Violence, death, torture - No cheating, third act breakup - OWD (mild, women flirt with Danil but he's not interested) - Sex trafficking - Sexual harassment - FMC virgin, MMC manhoe - HEA (married and pregnant)
I liked Danil more than Roman; he's caring, considerate, protective, and thoughtful about everything that Simona needs. He's down bad for her and got obsessed at first sight. Though I didn't like the punishment in the last chapter, I don't think that spanking is necessary, and that scene didn't sit well with me (maybe because he used a belt to do it) As for Simona, she was really innocent and way too trusting, hence why she got kidnapped and put to an auction. But at least she was a strong woman and didn't let her abductors win. I liked that she has become an asset to their mission, and she has put in efforts to help them track this sex trafficking ring.
Like the first book, this is insta-lust, and it only took days for the MCs to realize they're in love and have a wedding proposal. There were some twists and violence involved, and an additional character will help their cause.
Overall, this is a good read, and I had fun reading this story.
PS: I think the Pakhan of the other Bratva was the one who bought Alina. She's been gone for more than a year, and they're still looking for her.
Note: The next installment is Lev's book. I'm not really looking forward to this, but I'm intrigued by how finding Alina would pan out. Ugh! Why does Lev have to be a disgusting manhoe? And I'll never forget the nasty things he did in the first book. 🤦♀️

Simona takes a trip alone to Romania. She’s never been there and she doesn’t speak the language but wants to feel closer to her now deceased parents who migrated to The Us before she was born. Unfortunately it’s not all that safe to travel alone as a woman.
The 5 mafia leading brothers need to get deeper into the sex trafficking ring to find out where Alina, one of the leaders sister is. Danil goes to an auction to ”buy a woman” and she may be able to help.
This is the second book in a series that should be read in order.
- Dark romance - Mafia (very unbelievable) - Morally grey, obsessed, ott hero - Virgin heroine - Insta love - Breath play, orgasm denial, spanking, anal, praise kink, no condoms
CW/TW:Sexual assault, kidnapping, sex trafficking, misogynistic language and views(not from the brothers), violence, torture, murder
“That was never going to happen. I would’ve paid anything for you. He was never going to win.” “You act like you have all the money in the world.” “I do, and I would’ve spent it all to save you.”
Fuck, I’m not a man who’s ever even had the faintest desire to be in love, but here I am, smitten after two goddamn days. The love bomb is dropped about 50% in. Two says in.
I’m not a fan of insta-love and while I would have prefered a slower development, it didn’t bother me as much as it usually does. Danil was obsessed with Simona from the second he saw her. Simona was so brave for helping the brothers after going through such a traumatic experience. I really liked both mc’s.
The chapters were still too long for my liking and the sex scenes were a bit too many, I skimmed some of it.
The plot kept me hooked and I’m definitely going to keep reading the series. This book is part of an interconnected series and we’re given a hfn and a cliffhanger for future books with Danil’s brothers as mc’s.
I did not need to know about the H’s sexual past or see/be told his brothers have sex with anything and anyone. Unnecessary information, thank you.
Lo mismo que el anterior... si mientras leo, pienso que se conocen desde hace semanas... o meses ... mejor jajajaja Porque es un poco exagerado e irreal el instalove ....
4.5 stars Simona and Danil's book. Another good entry into this series about brothers on the search for their missing sister who was sold into a sex trafficking ring. Simona was tricked and drugged while on a trip to her deceased parents' homeland of Romania. She was taken back to the US, and Danil saved her by being the highest bidder and wins her. This was a fast-paced,very sexy read that had me from the first page. This was insta everything, and I loved how possessive Danil was of Simona. The camaraderie of the brothers is still there, and I love how they supported each other. The missing sister ,Alina,is their top priority and my heart just aches that she is a victim of sex trafficking and all that is done. But the brothers are getting closer to find her. Please be aware of the triggers that the author mentions as the content may not be for everyone. I was graciously given an ARC of this book by the author and apologize for this late review. All thoughts are my own. Next up is Lev's story.

I seem to be in the minority on this one but this was more 3.5 for me. Could be me and not the book but I think I liked the first one better for some reason.
There wasn’t anything wrong with the characters. I liked Danil’s possessive and obsessiveness and I like how sweet Simona was. This was definitely insta love for them. It moved so quickly. I mean it was like two weeks at the most and they were getting engaged, starting a family. I just felt like they were so damn mushy. It was a dark-ish read with the torture but when they spoke to each other I definitely got a cavity. It was kind of cheesy when he kisses her and all the women gasp because they can’t fathom him being with anyone who isn’t a model.
It wasn’t the characters that didn’t work for me but the plot itself. A lot of it was similar to the first book where the girls have to play “pet” for their man. But there was something about this book that was just a little too on the nose.
Also i felt like Simona should have been more traumatized than she was. I mean she was kidnapped in a foreign country, sex trafficked and sold to the highest bidder yet the next day it’s all hunky dory like nothing ever happened. She hardly ever thinks about it or processes it at all.
I always comment on the amount of sex scenes because I just can’t help myself but they were soo damn long!! Back to back scenes spanning pages and pages long.
Anyway I’m bummed we are going to have to go through Lev and Vitaly’s books before we get to Matvey. I’m not looking forward to reading about the manwhores but I’m desperately waiting for Matvey’s book.
Also Levi’s lip piercing is mentioned an awful lot.
NO CHEATING LIGHT OW DRAMA (girls trying to talk to him but he shuts it down) VIRGIN FMC MMC MIGHT BE A LOWKEY MANWHORE HE SAYS “HES FUCKED MORE WOMAN THAN HE CAN REMEMBER. HES ONLY CELIBATE FOR TWO WEEKS BEFORE MEETING HER TW: SA (with finger) AND GRAHIC TORTURE
ARC review Possible spoilers This book was amazing. No surprise there considering how much I loved the first one. Rated it 4.5 stars. Honestly, I could even do five. I think that the reason I didn’t give it a full five it’s because some of the sexual situations took it a little bit further than what I am into. So that is my fault not the authors. Make sure you read any triggers going into this. There is breath play. Spanking. And it’s not light play. It gets a little heavy. Even though I’m not into the heavy stuff I still think it was done beautifully. There is mentions of sex trafficking. The female character is a virgin. Main male character is not a virgin. But him having sex previously is not flaunted to where it gets on your nerves. There is No cheating. HEA. I can’t wait until I am able to order the paper back to add to my collection. And I am very ready to read the next brothers story. I am so anxious to finally get to the last brother. Because I think that will be the conclusion of them finding Alina(mentioned in first book). Sonja Grey is queen when it comes to mafia romances. I love the dark romance, but yet he still treats her like a queen and worships her. She has become a one click author for me.

I have come to love Sonja Grey books, but I really hated this one. Danil was too controlling, too harsh. I didn't care for him at all. I certainly did not care for the belt spanking and the 48 hours of edging to punish her. Did I mention anal to make sure she wouldn't O. Part of the whole 48 hrs. of edging. I hated how she had no backbone with Danil. The punishment was after their relationship was fully developed. At that point, I would have told him to go jump out the nearest window and not touch me, and if he didn't like it, I would leave. Everyone has their own kink, and I can respect that, but I have a hard time with belts and punishment dressed as love. Hard no. I don't mind submission, but there's submissive, and then there's no spine. If I am ugly crying because the belt hurts so much... you can bet I would leave him. PERIOD! I sure wouldn't allow him to edge me for 48 hrs. I would close up shop! You don't want me to O as punishment? Well, then I guess you're not gonna have sex for a while. I can take care of myself. Yeah, this book put me in a foul mood!
Wow it was as bad as paved in blood, I didn’t think that was possible.
The only thing I liked about this is Dominic and tbh I’m only going to keep reading because of Alina.
The plot is good but the romance is so bad and this author can’t write to save her life— she has ideas but maybe she should tell them to someone who actually can write?
Because falling in love after two nights isn’t cute nor possible and it’s stupid and fucked and everything bad in this world and beyond it. Let’s stop with getting married after a week and getting pregnant after three seconds of sex.
So, about this book. I liked it, but I liked Roman's story better. I really liked Danil, and these men are soo sweet toward their women😭 Simona annoyed the shit out of me most of the times. I will absolutely read the rest of this series.
The problem I had with book 1 was that I felt like the relationship was too quick. There was no build up. It was just meeting, obsessed, in love. I think the timeline was about a week
This one is so much worse. She is literally sex trafficked. Sold to the MMC, she obviously doesn’t know that he’s buying her to save her, but she believed him so quickly when he told her. Just immediately she was like ‘ahh yes, ofcourse you spent $3.5mil to save a random woman, makes sense’ and then literally within 24hrs they’re hooking up and within 48hrs they’re saying I love you’s. I can see why this woman was so easily able to be captured because what the fuck? 48hrs after the man BUYS YOU, you’re in love? It was just so cringe, I had to DNF @ 60%.
I also didn’t like the almost shot for shot remake of the auction scene from Taken. Just literally pulled directly from the movie and put into this book.
The spice this author writes is so well done, I’m just so disappointed that she can’t give a more believable timeline.
Couldn't finish this book for a person who was beaten as a teenager and doesn't ever want to feel that again, but likes to give pain to the woman his suppose to love. The belt episode was disgusting.
We continue the search for Alina and uncovering who is behind the trafficking ring. That said, I think it would be helpful to read Book 1 first to understand who the brothers are and to avoid a few spoilers. Now onto Simona and Danil’s story!
Simona might be introverted but she is spunky and fierce. She doesn’t back down from a challenge and will do what it takes to help others. She has her cute moments as well, making you want to hug her at how adorable she can be with her reactions. Moreover, she is a talented musician, is observant, a quick thinker and genuine.
Danil is the hacker of the group, working long hours to connect the dots and find answers. His head constantly counting and trying to process things. His endless dedication to his brothers and their mission often allows them to make moves. He also has a big heart and while he can be ruthless, he is also a big softie to those he cares about.
Simona and Danil! For Danil it is definitely love at first sight as he is mesmerized by Simona’s eyes and quiet strength. Simona might be hesitant at first but soon finds she can trust and feel secure around Danil. He is also patient and tender toward her, and will do things to make her happy. he often checks in with her as well. In turn, Simona brings a calmness and peace that Danil relishes in and he finds he falls for her hard and fast. Simona also is willing to support Danil in his endeavors and takes care of him as he does for her. The two of them can read each other like a book and when they can’t, they are open and frank with each other. You definitely cheer for this pairing.
Along with that we see Roman, Emily, Lev, Matvey, and Vitaly, and how familial their bonds with each are. They might joke and tease each other but they will also come together to work toward a common goal. Their dynamics how close knit they are and now are bribing Simona into the fold. We do get to learn more about them too, which definitely makes us want to read their stories.
Along with that we inch towards answers and finding Alina, uncovering more players, enemies and Allie’s in the process. I can’t wait to see what’s next.
★★★. I loved the overarching plot of all these but also how you can read them as standalone’s since they all recap.
I liked Danil. He was very possessive of Simona right away. He saw her picture and knew he had to buy her to save her. I liked his obsession with her. I felt bad about his past and how much the looking into the sex trafficking is messing with him. If we truly think about it, he does see the worst of it by being the hacker. His relationship with his brothers is everything. I love how close they all are and how they are doing everything to save Alina.
Simona…annoyed me. I felt horrible for what she went through. Honestly how she was trafficked was very realistic and I liked how it showed a woman being apart of it since woman are more trusting of other woman. What I didn’t like was Simona. She trusted Danil way too fast I’m sorry. Even if he wasn’t a bad guy per se, she didn’t know this and immediately trusted him? She was all in for laughing and letting her guard down. She was also way too horny for someone who just got out of sex trafficking and assaulted for my liking. It was like all of a sudden she couldn’t live without sex and it was off. I wish we got more on her healing after everything instead of it being her just having sex and being Danil’s woman?
I will be continuing but so far they aren’t my favorite couple. I also hated them getting pregnant right away because they barely know each other? If you were to ask me if she has stockholm…nobody would like my answer.
I cannot wait for Matvey and Alina’s book. I know it’ll be my favorite. Vitaly im interested in and Lev too. But so far both seem just like there and fun side characters.
this book was the same exact thing as the first one in the series but a little more cringy. tbh i don’t know how i actually read that without dnfing it.but im going to keep reading the series because i want to read matvey’s book update:i’m still reading the series and idk how i didn’t realize (maybe it’s cuz im reading the books online) that the books are all like 300 pages and they’re insta love cuz it’s so short but im still giving it 3 stars bc it was exactly the same as emily and roman’s book
It’s been a slow month of reading for me and I was having trouble finishing one of my other books so I picked this one up based on how short it was.. it definitely helped me!
If you’re looking for a quick, insta-love, mafia romance this is a good one!
