I felt excruciating heartache as I saw Will lying in the hospital bed. In the midst of my anguish was the burning desire to bring Big Tom and the Hornets to justice and save everyone I loved and cared about. But it was easier said than done. Faced with Will’s physical weakness, a silent and withdrawn father, and Lisa falling on the Hornet’s radar, I might have to take up the mantle of defender, something I’ve been doing for a while, just not in front of guns and people who wouldn’t hesitate to shed blood. But what’s the value of loving if you don’t fight for it?
